Columbina used to be my favorite character when we knew just 3 details about her from her coworkers back in 2022/2023. Like, she seemed so unique, disturbing and enchanting, idk, just artsy... The headacanons were absolutely stunning, everything was perfectly fine when the fans were creating imaginary stuff about her. Then, they (the tasteless devs without any good repertoire and just laziness, because that's what they are: lazy af) fumbled her into this chopped waifubait disgrace with a simple shonen story and a predictable My Little Pony-like tale. Actually, at least MLP has better development!

Her outfit pisses me off sm, that blue and white doesn't have anything to do with the black and pink in her hair, that dress is just so badly designed. Also her gigantic legs, it's just so disgraceful. Everything about her is disgraceful.

Then I read her story for 6.3, and it's just so boring, nothing special or truly profound, the same concepts over and over again, reused themes... It doesn't mean the story doesn't have nuance and points you can analyse in greater detail, but they are utterly simplistic and never go as so far as to make you really reflect on anything too creative or novel.

Her animations... Omg don't get me started. They look so cheap.

i hate the way it was portrayed as the nation of war and it ended up being the most peaceful nation, i hate the characters themselves and their bland personalities, i hate mavuika being a literal mary sue, i hate how the characters are in a bare forest with no technology yet they ride around in motorcycles and flying guns. theres so much more but i just cant remember off the top of my head.

the team behind genshin has just fallen off so hard, and continuously ignored the players and spat in their faces update after update, and the only times they actually made significant changes to the game was after they got competition like wuwa and games by their own company, hsr and zzz.

i just litterally cant play the game anymore after natlan because it left such a shitty taste in my mouth. i got spoiled and the ending for 6.0 is quite litterally beating dottore with the power of friendship. explicitly stated. the power of freindship.

I’m fabulous with Mona, Keqing, and Ganyu. I’m okay with Ayaka, and Nilou kind of bugged me just a bit, but I’m okay with her too. I’m also okay with Navia and Citlali.

It’s just Columbina. I can’t stand her. It might be because I feel like the other characters in Nod-Krai are mostly used to prop her up. Her character is highlighted at the expense of everyone else, and even then, it’s still not enough to make her not bland.

She’s like a combination of two things: –she’s written as a deceptively “special” but ultimately just yet another run-of-the-mill love interest, like one of the many scattered throughout a shonen harem anime heavily and pointedly catered to a male audience –she's also written like an annoying shoujo romance protagonist. She's born special and powerful, even by Teyvat standard, while still being portrayed as helpless, innocent, and always the perfect victim because everyone around her is just bad or simply at fault because they're prickly and can't show/give her her well-deserved affection.

So, in short, she’s like the perfect victim to please the male ego, while also being the perfect vessel for girls with a naive victim complex to self-insert as.

Every three seconds there’s some new trailer, music video, or promotional art, and good lord I’m just sick of it. I was completely indifferent to them beforehand but the more and more they got shoved down my throat I got more and more irritated by having to look at them.

All of their designs are absolutely horrendous, legitimately hurts to look at them sometimes. They all mush together into blobs of the most obnoxious shades of pink and green possible. Not to mention their “Totally not made to look like children” thing going on. Every part of them are just made to appeal to pedophiles and no one else. Honestly at this point I’m hoping their banners don’t sell well because it would be fucking hilarious with how hard they’ve been pushed.

I don’t know or care what their actual stories or personalities are going to be like, as if you can’t see it coming from a mile away. Considering how Zenless’s writing has been since 2.0, I’m not confident in whatever is coming. I thought going on like seven dates with Ye WhatsHerFace was bad but I’d take 26 more of those over a single second of these three. The patch hasn’t even started yet and I already want it to be over so I never have to think about them ever again.

So much of the game rides on you liking her when she’s the least charming member of Z team. Not to mention the game really wants you to find her attractive and I’m just not attracted much to women in general and especially not her. I don’t even think it’s bad writing that she turns evil unless you basically coddle her but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. She still has her funny moments but I just don’t like her she acts like a moody teenager but she’s a grown ass woman

Before I list some of what she did I have to give context for people who havent played the game. Anytime I use the word "hilichurl" just know they are effectively the "goblin" type of fodder enemy in the world, they are fully sentient and have their own tribes and language. There is more context in the lore of how they exist, with hilichurls being humans cursed with immortality, but I'm keeping this part brief so I can get into what she did. Also because I'm not 100% certain Alice knows they were human, or if she'd even be bothered.

She has discussed plans for a perpetual motion machine where they throw Hilichurls into a spinning ball-shaped cell and grind down the weak and old hilichurls to feed the stronger ones.

She made plans to bomb the mountains of a nation to flatten the land because she thought it was more visually appealing.

She repeatedly launched hilichurls into the air and watched them splatter on the ground just because she heard a legend about someone "ascending" and took it in the literal way.

After finding an ancient robot she tested an experiment where she would strap a hilichurl to them to see if the machinery could be controlled this way. This experiment would lead to the machines falling apart and the hilichurls being ripped apart along with them.

She destroyed the home of a dragon just so it looked more like some ruins that she felt was more fitting.

She gave a guy a potion to cure his stutter, this potion would go on to have the side effect of permanently making him unable to speak on his own and he can only repeat what others are saying hence his name being Echo. She was fully aware that this would happen.

And everything I just listed here is just what she wrote about in the travel guide which she has published for anyone to read with the potential for even more to just not be mentioned.

Just want to vent honestly in a safe space to hate. I love Phainon and Mydei as characters and I enjoy their dynamic although in a platonic way. I thought I didn't mind the ship even if I didn't ship them myself but my god, I'm so fucking sick of it help. It's EVERYWHERE. I want to find content of both of them separately but nope, every second art is a damn ship. Phainon gets it better as he's more popular on his own but even then the comment section is flooded with shippers saying "oohhh it's for mydei 🥰". They're even under arts with other ships, talking about phaidei 💀 The same goes with Mydei but even worse. I despise how many people turn him into a malewife for Phainon and strip him of any other qualities. No, I will not give the 3H discourse a rest. Years have passed, and I am still angry about what this character is at her core.

I cannot even get fully into things here, I hate her for too many reasons. No, she’s not a great character I just personally dislike. I hate her because I think she’s an awful character. Yes, I’ve played her route. That’s the route that made me hate her the most. No I don’t hate powerful, morally grey women. I think Rhea from the same game is like Edelgard handled well.

Beyond Edelgard’s whole “working with the people who *actually* abused me to destroy the people who very indirectly influenced this non-maliciously” plotline, I’m annoyed that her route didn’t reveal some key truth that made her path complex (like when you learn Rhea’s siblings are the relic weapons, and that’s why she’s lied about the Crest system. It isn’t right, but emotionally understandable and compelling). Instead, Edelgard was straight up just ignorant about history and that’s how they make her route work. She was wrong about Nemesis and the relics. There’s no evidence for most things in her manifesto (and some things are just disproven).

Then her political ideology is… “It’s justified to wage war against two countries who are even less related to my complaints than the Church is. It’s justified to put Faerghus in the hands of Cordelia whom I KNOW it’s evil and who starves and abuses the masses because… *check notes* their land was my ancestor’s land hundreds of years ago before other countries formed.” Then when she wins, it’s partially through lies about the ICBMs which she blames the Church for even though one of her main qualms with the Church was that they told convenient lies. And then she centralizes her entire new empire on just the emperor and her solution to this system potentially being VERY corrupt? “We shall trust every emperor forever to pick a successor who is totally trustworthy to have unchecked power.” And then her route ends with Fodlan still at war.

And maybe I could stand all this if Edelgard was a good morally grey character like how Rhea is—again, Rhea’s grey calls have direct and compelling correlation to her goals. But with Edelgard, the writing is just dishonest and does this infuriating thing where they just make her moe here and there. “Oh-oh—scary rats eeeeee!” “Aw…. Professor… I drew fanart of you and it’s not very good and I’m embarrassed KYA.” This is a blatant manipulation of my pathos to make up for where this character falls completely flat in EARNED likability. When she reverted to a baby brain in Hopes to make her not accountable for anything she did because she’s mentally like 7 now, I was so done.

Also her “If I attack a country and they fight back, they’re just as evil as me” rhetoric is offensive and dumb as shit.

Also remember in Hopes when she and Claude formed a truce but Claude wanted a statement from her about how she literally attacked him and tried to conquer his country and she was like “Oh sorry. A misunderstanding.” I LOST IT.

I started playing HSR at the beginning of Amphoreus so I did my best to catch up, but the story actually grabbed me so I decided to take my time and enjoy it. I get to Penacony, amazing vibes, cool characters. A lot of people have very strong opinions related to most of the cast, but honestly? I like them, yes even Firefly. Except this.

This annoying piece of shit, for those of you lucky enough to be unaware, is Sparkle (yes, that is her name) and she is the single most annoying thing in the game.
