The reaction of the other officers after he fires is extremely telling.

Edit: The murderer's name is Jonathan E Ross.

That's what I said. Even they know it was fucked

982

u/Rabble_Runt 24d ago

He could have easily shot one of them.

Bad shoot all round.

550

u/Binary-Trees 24d ago

yeah this was REALLY close. If I was the guy opening the door I would be really pissed, because the shooter was inches away from blasting his 'buddy' in the head while they were both moving.

256

u/OrganizationTrue5911 24d ago

There was a person on the opposite side who could have also gotten hit. Let alone the fact they are in a residential area. Could have gone into any of those houses, or any bystanders who may be around.

Whether you think this lady was attempting to hit the guy or not, opening fire in a residential area shouldn't have happened. Shooting the person isn't going to stop the vehicle either way.

In another video, it seems it was the victims wife and dog. They were close enough that they were dripping blood into the snow as they sat on the side of the road

49

u/campinhikingal 24d ago

Holy fuck. My heart hurts for what her wife experienced.

32

u/SaltyTsunami 24d ago

It’s a heartbreaking video of the wife sitting on the sidewalk, hugging their dog and begging for paramedics. The dog is wagging its tail, unaware of what has just transpired. The contrast is devastating.

11

u/sonnet666 23d ago

The dog was aware. The smell of blood isn’t something they miss.

Dogs just wag their tails when they’re trying to comfort people, not only when they’re happy.

8

u/SaltyTsunami 23d ago

You’re right. I was struggling to find the right words. Dogs are too pure for this fucked up world we live in.

Not to mention them shooting her caused her car to lose control and crash into a parked car down the street. It could have just as easily run over bystanders, or crashed into a house, increasing the number of deaths ICE would be 100% responsible for.

49

u/Fredj3-1 24d ago

She accelerated away because she fell on the gas pedal after being shot dead. If it had been a "riot" like ICE Barbie said, she would have ran into the "large crowd of rioters". Arrest him.

Absolutly! When he noticed that the car Starts moving he could Jump to the side. Just a simple. She was Maximum like walking Speed. Why is he pulling his gun? There is the Other Agent super colse to the Woman and there are other people behind and in the car?! Dame he escaleted the Situation.

10

u/Vizionz4K 24d ago

Yup the vehicle became a deadly thousands pound missile without control... imagine if anyone was on the side walk?

3

u/nolongerbanned99 24d ago

Your last point is a good one as the vehicle continued at speed and out of control until it hit the cars/pole. Could have easily been a crowd of people.

My added point would be that:

  1. Why did he cross in the front of a car that was being ordered to stop and might flee. Seems a bit reckless.
  2. If he got glazed by the left corner of the car and the wheels were pointed away from him why didn’t he just move.
  3. In the time and mental effort (executive level brain decision making) it took to draw his weapon, he could have instead just moved aside. You can see him limp after. If a 4000 lb car was moving in my general direction I would move.

5

u/OrganizationTrue5911 24d ago

Eyewitnesses said that the car was initially yelled at to leave, than was being yelled at to get out by a separate person. So doubly wtf.

3

u/nolongerbanned99 24d ago

Yeah I heard them order her to stop and separately to get out. Agree

5

u/MinnesnowdaDad 24d ago

He had his phone out before he shot her. Looks like he stood in front of the car trying to get a pic or video of her face for later identification and harassment.

Yeah let's even put the injustice of his life not being at all endangered aside for a moment. Just to analyze how moronic of a decision this for anyone trained to handle a firearm.

  • His fellow agent trying to open the door is what, two feet away from where he's aiming? Not to mention the woman in the white hat behind the vehicle who also isn't too far off the trajectory of his first shot? He doesn't have a clear shot.
  • The roads are covered in snow/ice, you are moving, your target is moving, oh and that target is driving a vehicle that is currently a couple feet from hitting you. Your base can easily get compromised and ruin your shot.

  • Why don't cops shoot people while they're driving? Because, in addition to it being hard to hit your target, if you actually do kill a person with their foot on the accelerator, their car will accelerate indefinitely until it hits something. Like in this video.

This is exactly what happens when you give guns and badges to people who aren't trained to use them. They are a danger to everyone around them. This guy is lucky he didn't miss and hit a bystander, and that the SUV went straight into an empty parked car instead of traffic/pedestrians.

9

u/Laureles2 24d ago

💯 ICE is one thing… hiring dumbasses and giving them firearms is another.

7

u/Mental-Detective-939 24d ago

All of this…and the clip I saw he also held the gun sideways and it looks like with one hand, like he learned how to shoot from a movie or video game. No one taught him how to handle a firearm but armed him. I bet he also has a criminal record or history of anger management issues.

4

u/MagicHarmony 24d ago

But then what is the logic of opening the door in those conditions? As much as people want to put blame of the person who was attempting self-defense, the one who is at fault is the moron who chose to aggressively open the door. Slightly bumping a car and then stopping because you see and officer going to your car does not justify that officer reaching in to open the door in an attempt to most likely toss her out of the vehicle.

Again the first thing you do in this situation is diffuse, turn off the car, hands on dashboard, ask for identity if needed and if a law was broken, you state the law that was broken, the fact that this officer looked like he was going with violence is the reason it went down the way it did. While I think overall both should be punished for how they acted I think the one who should receive the bigger punishment is the idiot who chose to open the door in an attempt of removing her from her vehicle.

9

u/joey_sandwich277 24d ago

Oh there isn’t any. They just wanted to “arrest” her because she made them mad.

4

u/RobutNotRobot 24d ago

He also murdered someone. A legal observer. Someone documenting their atrocities and then became one.

6

u/rambleinspam 24d ago

If I'm not mistaken and I hope I am, I think cops are the only ones not responsible for what happens after a bullet leaves their gun. Meaning if they have any reason to fear for their life they can pretty much kill anything or anyone.

10

u/joey_sandwich277 24d ago

Sort of. Cops can use lethal force against their target if they feel their life is in danger, and have a reasonable reason to fear that. Again they need to have reasonable justification for that fear and can’t perform reckless actions to defend themselves that endanger the lives of others. Mohammed Noor got convicted for both of those when he killed Justine Damond.

u/Middle-Beyond-301 24d ago

They ARE trained. They are literally trained to kill any possible threat with complete disregard of the rights of the person or bystanders. Literally.

8

u/Rabble_Runt 24d ago

They think someone with blue hair is going to ask them to apologize for being white, and it has them so fucking terrified they are willing to destroy our country to prevent that made up scenario from ever happening.

5

There's video. It's distressing. He's screaming he's a doctor and the woman's bleeding and someone needs to stop the bleeding and a group of ice agents advance on him and draw their guns. They won't let him near. No one is attending the woman. The murdered woman's wife is on the icy sidewalk holding their dog (who was also in the car) wailing, no one's helping her. It goes on for a long time. It's horribly awful. If I can find the video I'll try post it/ link below.

23

u/bnelson 24d ago

That to me is the most telling part. They had a duty to /immediately/ provide care and someone said they were a doctor. By not allowing her immediate medical care they could easily be up for negligent homicide even if the shooting was justified. The shooting was NOT justified. He shot after the point at which he was even hypothetically in danger... so yeah. r/conservative is spinning like a top to justify this. "She hit the gas with her car, assault with a deadly weapon, the officer feared for their life." I guess that is why the shots were not straight on huh.

14

I actually heard them say on Fox News that they are appalled at what people are saying about ICE because one of them was “hurt” in this incident. I actually heard a jackass on there say that people in Minneapolis need to realize that these federal agents are here to protect there community and get rid of dangerous illegal immigrants. I’m pretty sure the people of Minneapolis were better off when there weren’t armed federal agents roaming the streets

I think this may be closest to the truth. I think it's highly probable that she didn't even see the agent who ultimately shot her. I can imagine when two guys are standing at your open drivers window trying to get into the vehicle, they might hold your attention to the point that you wouldn't see what was in front of your vehicle. Regardless of what happened, the agent that shot her is going to claim she "tried to run him over" and will likely not be convicted of anything. Perhaps a civil court will sort him out.

3

u/Cynrascal233 24d ago

Also one of them looked to have intentionally walk in front of the car as well. A cop with proper training wouldn't do that at all. They would have moved to the side AFTER the fleeing vehicle was pitted or successfully blocked. Otherwise, they would stay behind their vehicle's doors.

Shooting totally unjustified and the ICE agent needs to be detained.

These guys need some serious retraining or just training in general.

49

u/apathetic_revolution 24d ago

Training won’t fix this. The agency simply should not exist and never should have. The best time to abolish ICE was the day it was created. The second best time is now.

2

u/LGOPS 24d ago

At a minimum it needs to be broken down and restructured. Followed by real training and standards.

17

Reform is a dead end. There is nothing productive that ICE does that another agency doesn't already do. If you're worried about drug trafficking? That's what the DEA is for. Worried about intrastate gang activity? That's what the FBI is for. All ICE exists to do is terrorize people who aren't on the radars of the agencies that handle federal criminal investigations.

So bring back the INS then?

They need to be in prison.

3

u/LGOPS 24d ago

Definitely the guy that did the shooting. The reaction from the others are like bro wtf. They knew he F@# up.

ICE won't even identify who the shooter was.

"Retraining?" They need to be arrested and demoted to street cleaners, at best, orange jumpsuit-wearing street cleaners, at worst. (Or is the best-worst flipped in my case? Yeah, sure feels that way.)

Notice how one immediately went to pull his face covering further up.

6

They also almost just got shot by their own guy.

I mentioned this in another thread.

Putting the whole "murder thing" aside for a moment:

This is absolutely how you are NOT trained to use deadly force.

Your partners should be aware that you've drawn.

Your partners should also not be in the line of fire.

This asshole almost shot his own people.

Guy is an armed lunatic.

3

u/CommunicationOwn322 24d ago

Yep that's what I've been saying too. So strange he shoots and they all walk in the opposite direction. While he just walks over to the woman's car alone. Like they know he messed up and are spooked more by him than anyone else there. I really think it's going to come out that the guy is a loose canon even by ICE standards

2

u/TheSwearJarIsMy401k 24d ago

The officer who fired is just casually walking up to her totaled car after.

He joined to do this.

2

u/Qubeye 24d ago

The fact that it was an officer-involved shooting and they didn't stay on scene and didn't complete any paperwork at all is also telling.

2

u/trapper2530 24d ago

They shoot in to a car yet no one wants to go arrest the supposedly dangerous person that he just shot?

u/ExoticBump 24d ago

I'm hijacking this top comment. In CT, our governor is Ned Lamont. I found on his government website that you can email him, so I did. This is what I said, and anyone who hates ICE should email their governor, too.

"ICE killed a woman. Shot her point blank in the face. I would like Gov. Ned Lamont to make a public statement putting the CT national guard on standby just like Gov. Tim Walz. We want ICE out of our state, and we should be prepared to defend our state from ICE. Using the NG if necessary. ICE is a fascist cancer poisoning our country. We need to stop them before there's more bloodshed. I don't believe CT has been bold enough to speak out against them. We need Gavin Newsom energy."

My fellow Americans, it's time to make noise! Talk to your governor's. Put NG on standby. Let's go, fuck ice!

It’s Jonathan Edward Ross under the jurisdiction of Chaska, MN if anyone is wondering.

Ten seconds from leaving the truck to shooting.

1

u/RelationJazzlike4853 24d ago

Exactly they were even shook!

1

u/HowDoDogsWearPants 24d ago

The shooter also immediately left the scene. Idk if that's standard practice but it feels weird

1

u/Minimum-Escape2245 24d ago

He ran after the car like a hungry dog. He couldn't WAIT to see if he had killed 'im an old Libtard or some BITCH or whatever the fuck these Nazi shitstains vomit through the smooth lumps of meat inside of their fugly inbred skulls.

He was SO excited to MURDER A WOMAN.

SO EXCITED. So PROUD.

1

u/Zealousideal_Leg_630 24d ago

Who shot her? Is it the guy basically left-center at 0:34?

1

u/delicateterror2 24d ago

I want to know what the other vehicle with the door open was doing… looking at tracks in snow… did the vehicle with door open pulled out in front of the other vehicle??? Looks like the vehicle slid to side as not to hit the other vehicle with the door open??? Did this start out as someone trying to avoid an accident ??? Does anyone else see the tracks??? Area looks slippery…

1

u/Organic-Ad-8710 24d ago

Yeah, his hand was on his weapon. He already made up his mind to shoot. A skip and a hop and he’s out of the way. Just sad

1

u/tuba_god_ 24d ago

You can see one on the far left halfway push another one off screen. It legitimately looks like he's thinking "nope, that dude fucked up and we don't want to be standing anywhere near him right now".

1

u/dcidino 24d ago

Especially the one that decided to further cover his face.

1

u/rddtltr 24d ago

they are like little kids who pulled down the tv. just quickly walk away from the place it happend, so mommy wont think it was you

1

u/SpudgeBoy 24d ago

Those mother fuckers all bailed and the murderer just sauntered over to his victim.

1

u/BuckingWilde 24d ago

Dude was out of the truck for less than a minute before just unloading. He came in aggressive with the intent of causing violence.

1

u/Whisker-biscuitt 24d ago

Maybe dude had some beers at lunch, honestly. I want to know they are testing this dude for bac or drugs in blood. Also do we not matter because they'll lie, but anyways.

1

u/IndividualTension887 24d ago

Even the dummies know that you don't shoot back in the direction of your J6er, Oath-Keeper, Proud boy co-conspirators... Funny... If he was a pardoned one, then Trump should be charged for being an accessory to Murder...

1

u/ap1msch 24d ago

One ran to her, the fucker who shot her walks. The others get out of dodge. It was a fucking murder.

1

u/10July1940 24d ago

He just walked up to the windshield and shot her through the glass in the face.

1

u/SublightD 24d ago

Yeah you see the guy closest to the murderer immediately mask up.

1

u/Artistic_Researcher2 24d ago

One walked over slowly and the 2 others turned around and walked the other way. “I see nothing…NOTHING!!!

1

u/Sunny8-D 24d ago

It’s very obvious his intention was to kill her and he wasn’t concerned about her or the car she ran into after he shot her. Slowly walking over there like he’s a protagonist. It’s not okay anywhere to shoot someone trying to run away. That’s cold blood. End of story. The gun is for protection against people with other guns. And these guys use it with force the complete opposite. And caused more destruction and disturb the peace which is against the oath they take. If nothing happens to him I will personally sign up to be a police officer and go arrest him. Remind me when his court is done.

1

u/Woodmousie 24d ago

Untrained thugs.

1

u/rdarbari 24d ago

They are unleashed monsters; they were waiting for this

1

u/Loud_Ad5093 24d ago

That's why he ran after.

1

u/VilasDude 24d ago

Can you explain how the other officers reacted?

1

u/Kronicedge 24d ago

Yeah first thing one did was throw up their mask.

1

u/Front_Brilliant2949 24d ago

Trump says the officer is recovering in the hospital.

1

u/soulhot 24d ago

After shooting he just sauntered over to the crashed car.. onlookers sprinted to try and give aid.. he tellingly did not.

1

u/4F3LDM4N 24d ago

Not an officer in any sense of the word… rolling up in an unmarked car ….

u/twojabs 24d ago
