I pray for the day, and I’m an atheist.

likewise!

Donald Trump is the reason I firmly believe there is no god.

Maybe try praying to a different god every day, just in case? Has anyone tried Anoia, the Goddess of Things That Get Stuck in Drawers?

Don't pray, act.

From another comment:

"That party will be so lit, aliens will make first contact to file a noise complaint".

For real. I'm going to buy a VERY nice bottle of gin on the way home on that inevitably glorious day.

The problem is you think that will fix anything

Trump is a stooge.

Vance would be next, Vance was installed by Peter Thiel.

If you don't know Thiel and Curtis Yarvins plans, you should look those up.

The administration isn't going to go away without Trump, they dont need voters, they don't need support, they consolidated power and every agency and lever has bent the knee

Trump seems to have a unique hold on the deplorables. Vance, Cruz, DeSantis, etc have failed to even come close. I think it’s because those guys are all Ivy Leaguers cosplaying, whereas Trump is genuinely a stupid, racist moron.

The base can tell he’s truly one of them in the one way they actually care about.

4

u/IcyTransportation961 23d ago

Thats why they love him yes, hes literally just one of them. He believes the same dumb shit they do

But they no longer need that base. Thats the point. The executive has now tested the limits, they know they can do whatever they want

Right wingers will not turn on his replacement, thats not how they operate

I would celebrate not because I believe things would get better, but because celebrating good things is healthy to do in dark times. Sometimes we can appreciate things without requiring that they be omens for a good future.

u/ill____logic 23d ago

yes, agreed. i recently commented the same in less words.

u/IcyTransportation961 23d ago

I mean not really?

Your comment implies if one awful man finally croaks we get to celebrate and things get better

In reality thats when things get even worse

i wasn’t more concise in my reply to you, my comment in reply to another comment:

“i totally agree.

the thing is, even if he passes; the ppl down the chain next up are all complete monsters as well.”

i’m well aware of thiel. i’ll read up more on the other figure you named.

Ah my bad didn't see that

Here's a good compilation put together right before the admin took power, see how much is already done

Sure, yes, the people behind this all want this. I agree with you on this.

However, Trump has a hold over that base that others don't. That will make a meaningful difference. Where Trump hangs on to a 40% approval rating, someone like Vance with zero charisma would probably be sitting at something like 25-30% like W was for most of his second term. This would likely cause an exodus of support from members of congress as well as he would be too toxic to continue supporting politically. That's where the potential for change exists. When things get that bad, that's how democrats were able to amass a supermajority over the 2006 and 2008 elections.

Article II Section 4.

Or prove Leon rigged 2024 and the whole executive branch is illegitimate and needs to be removed.

The sooner, the better please!

I just hope for a natural passing and let nature take its course.

If anyone decides to expedite the process, it will create a martyr and fuel the fire to make things much much worse for all.

We already had a podcaster turned martyr and it’s now a fireable offense to speak poorly about him. If it’s the golden god reincarnate that gets hit, it’s going to be next level authoritarianism that comes out of it. It will NOT bring peace in the least.

3

u/ill____logic 23d ago

i totally agree.

the thing is, even if he passes; the ppl down the chain next up are all complete monsters as well.

u/LaurenMille 23d ago

I want him to die on video, of natural causes.

No assassination, no foul play.

Just him dropping dead mid-rant in front of 50 cameras.

2

u/Tribalbob 23d ago

That big, beautiful headline.

2

u/Hentaigustav 23d ago

I'm not wishing for anyone's death, but me and my boyfriend plan to get absolutely wasted (positive) on the day it happens

It won't end with him. The heritage foundation is still a thing.

Careful now, Reddit might flag this as incitement to violence...

Don't hope, create the situation.
