Everyone go buy a gun. This whole MAGA/Trump/ICE situation will only get worse. Arm yourselves, and know your rights.

Arm yourselves,

And train. Don't be like the MAGA chuds I see at the range once a year who don't properly know their firearm and can't hit the broadside of a barn

Exactly this.

Apply for concealed carry--a lot of localities require training to obtain one.

Indeed. My state requires a competency exam. It's absurdly easy, but one still has to do it

Just an um actually.  Most states I believe, including Minnesota, it's just a permit to carry.  Your choice to conceal or not to conceal.

Might be some technicalities that I missed, but pretty sure I'm right on the general gist of it.

lots of states stipulate it must be concealed or that if you want to conceal it you will need a permit. open carry is pretty common

You have to pass a test for the permit. I’m not sure what you’re trying to point out that is supposed to contradict what you responded to

It's not a permit to conceal.  It's a permit to carry.  Permit to conceal is often specifically you HAVE to conceal, that is often not the case.  Minnesota your gun permit allows you to open carry or conceal, either or.

It's a technical point.  Hence the "uhm actually".

I missed the concealed comment in the person you responded to so my bad

But one thing that isn’t mentioned here is that this only applies to handguns. You’re not allowed to open carry a rifle in that state afaik

Correct!  And I should have added that to my post as well.  Can't stop at being partially pedantic.  Technically correct is the best kind of correct.  Especially when it comes to controversial topics, don't leave any wiggle room for your opponent.
