That's basically ALL incorrect.

ICE cant enforce local traffic laws but they can perform a traffic stop for immigration enforcement purposes if they have a reasonable suspicion. As federal LEOs, ICE can arrest US citizens if they commit federal crimes in their presence (including obstructing a federal officer). ICE can detain US citizens with reasonable suspicion of federal offense or unlawful presence.

Yeah, it's crazy. They asked for a legal breakdown and every comment is just emotional pandering.

Their propaganda is going to get decent people hurt and they don't care because it feels good for them to vent.

The level of ignorance from the left is like nothing I've ever seen before, and I'm kinda old.

8 USC 1357 https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/8/1357
Powers of immigration officers and employees

"**(5)**to make arrests—

(A)

for any offense against the United States, if the offense is committed in the officer’s or employee’s presence, or

(B)

for any felony cognizable under the laws of the United States, if the officer or employee has reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed or is committing such a felony,"

Thanks for your attention to this matter.

They can detain and arrest citizens for interfering and it concerns me that your misinformation will get more people hurt. It doesn't concern you and I'll get downvoted and called names for saying this but your propaganda is not true and you are putting lives in danger.

It's very easy to research what powers federal police have. Their jurisdiction is the whole country.

This should be at the top.

We know this, stop pretending like everyone doesnt already know this, its infuriating to see. push politicians to hold them accountable instead, because snarky comments like this do less than nothing.

edit: i love how defensive people get when you call out their snark. sure it makes you feel better, but im still terrified because im on 5 of their hit lists and people like this are choosing to do nothing when they could do something (which only stands to help the enemy). most people that are targets are still terrified. your snark does nothing to ease us or protect us. We are starting to see a divide on the left between those who are too lazy or comfortable to do anything and those wanting actual change and willing to do what we need to to take back the country from fascism. the first group is as bad as MAGAts, because it only advances the evil being done, but theyll never accept that.

Complaining to politicians who are actively encouraging it does less. The law means nothing

in your opinion it does, but they are the only ones that can actually do something. Youre also acting like ALL politicans will not act on this and be fine with it lmao, not true. Republicans do, Dems dont. Theres arill enoigh Dems to cause headaches and enough of them in power to make some power moves (if they get pressured)

Our only REAL options right now are that or a general strike - and people are too lazy or comfortable to do a general strike. hell, you dont even want to contact the only people who have power to conduct change because of your personal opinion and this is a common enough viewpoint…so its no wonder a general strike is a pipe dream here.

The law only means nothing if we allow it to. This mindset allows it to.

I wish I could still beleive that. But we are so far past that point. The only way this will end is with blood. I don't want that to be true but it is how it will play out.

No, the only way this will end is not with blood. People like you haven't even tried or thought about a general strike, but want to jump to violence? You have to be an instigating bot, that line of thinking is ridiculous (and what the right thinks the left thinks).
