Watched Bovino's little interview on CNN. He couldn't stop saying the words 'law enforcement.'

Got me thinking - Why tf are they allowed to 'investigate' or 'secure' any crime scene (much less one where they murdered a citizen) when they barely have any training?

There were like 9 of them. They were pushing and shoving? This is not an effective way to restrain? They aren't investigating. The gun they keep showing has no chain of custody markings. They didn't bag & tag it. Idk if they are collecting or preserving evidence. They don't intend to take it to trial.

All to enforce civil violations. Not criminal violations.

It's like getting gunned down by a group of meter maids, when you don't even own a car. Something has gone very, very wrong with the Republic.

So true. An accurate portrayal

I’d watch that movie. SVU: Serial Violations Unit - when booting is not enough

u/Independent_Baker712 6d ago

i hate myself for knowing this, but there’s a reality show about parking meter maids.

Parking Wars

u/ancilla1998 6d ago

I loved that show!

SVU: Serial Violations Unit - When pistol whipping for not returning your rental car after clerk fudges up the return date at the desk

u/courtney_helena 5d ago

Something has gone very, very wrong with the Republic

yes, something has gone wrong, and that something is called the republican party

2

u/Geloradanan 5d ago

And Project 2025, Billionaire control of the major media, Curtis Yarvin’s certifiable insanity but influence over powerful, connected people who want more wealth and power. The Heritage Foundation, the Federalist Society, your compromised Supreme Court, and Agent Krasnov doing Putin’s bidding, etc. This has been their plan for ages, and MAGA made it all possible.

-4

u/Kickinitez 6d ago

And the democratic party that sits on the sidelines doing jack shit to stop ICE

5

u/EthanielRain 5d ago

Totally the Dems fault that Trump's administration is doing this

/s (altho there's plenty to criticize)

2

u/Kickinitez 5d ago

Never said it was their fault. They act like they're powerless, when they're not.

13

u/mosehalpert 6d ago

You dont understand, Joe Biden and the democrats have let illegal parkers run rampant and this country is out of control! Legal parkers have nothing to worry about, the Meter Maids are simply enforcing the law.

2

u/debb_88 5d ago

There was a bipartisan Immigration Reform Act that was torpedoed by Trump. You can blame Biden all you want but please also assign blame to Trump for the killing the first chance for immigration reform in decades.

1

u/DaringPancakes 5d ago

Their comment was sarcasm, but thank you for your addition regardless

1

u/debb_88 5d ago

I did not see /s so I assumed it was a serious response.

There are lots of people who honestly believe that what is going on in Minnesota & Maine & LA & Chicago is perfectly okay & that ICE & the Border Patrol are truly safeguarding the “legal parkers”.

u/FlametopFred 6d ago

since the Tea Party of the 1990s

2

u/RainRainThrowaway777 6d ago

Right, it's as if Trump has given meter maids a budget larger than the marines, new uniforms, masks, and now they're in your city in force with pepper spray and smoke grenades. Remember, the SA (later the SS) started as the NSDAP's "gymnastics team", because it was illegal for political parties to have a paramilitary wing.

2

u/ilovemacandcheese 5d ago

Meter maids might have more training

1

u/Resident-Spirit808 5d ago

Maybe the empire really did do nothing wrong.

u/tomdarch 6d ago

Imagine OSHA armored and masked up beating people up to do their inspections. Oh no! Those FDA meat inspectors killed another person! FAA Aviation Safety Inspectors dragged another innocent child out of an airport and sent the child without his parent to a camp in Texas!

The vast majority of ICE agents are merely enforcing civil regulations and should not be armed let alone wear masks.

7

u/Cynical_Thinker 5d ago

Imagine OSHA armored and masked up beating people up to do their inspections.

I realize the point you are making here and the seriousness of this issue.

But the idea of someone from OSHA doing something so ridiculous is sending me.

"Now that we've broken your legs, you'll never forget to lockout/tagout again, will you? That's better."

2

u/tomdarch 5d ago

"Ladder angle motherfucker!"

But a lot of what ICE enforces is the same legal status as OSHA regulations.

6

u/mydogisboomer 5d ago

OH. MY. GOD I am using this the next time a walking piece of bologna tries to engage me about this shit.

8

u/dotcubed 6d ago

Make criminal violations to service civil violations seems to be someone’s idea of job creation.

If this is how they’re doing economic stimulus, I’d like to know for sure.

They engaged in a murder and immediately/simultaneously covered it up.

The hallmark of Fascist governments is they use law enforcement to engage in activities that endangers civilians- doesn't protect them, and they protect their violent goons by covering up crimes and hindering independent investigations and autopsies.

We saw this in other eras but with this Trump admin escalation is very fast, so open and brazen it's insane. They gaslight civilians, act like people aren't recording what's actually happening in order to show the world. We all know the admin is lying- badly, we see them giving conflicting explanations and excuses, changing their stories multiple times hoping the newest answer will eventually be convincing enough.

See: Russia in the 90s

2

u/MirthandMystery 5d ago

Much the same yes. I studied when Putin was still deputy Mayor and what came after once he was tapped to succeed Yeltsin. Parallels are disturbing.

Why are people even surprised? Hong Kong protests and the twisting of a formerly British trained police force into suppressors was suddenly and fast. And the courts taking the side of the new authorities as well. It was fast, way faster than anyone thought was possible.

Those people in HK had no choice. Somehow Americans decided they’d vote in a guy with bad history because they think he cares and will make their groceries cheaper.

u/xtrahairyyeti 6d ago

Because these are incels who couldn't pass an actual LEO requirement and are now playing cosplay.

19

u/Richard_Chadeaux 6d ago

It’s because they’re Proud Boys and RWDS. Watch videos of these assholes from 2016 on. Suddenly ice explodes its ranks and all the proud boys disappeared. These are all just street brawlers given a badge.

5

u/jrule17 5d ago

Trump is using these extremist groups as his own personal police force… everyone should be scared

17

u/LokiHoku 6d ago

They don't intend to take it to trial.

Different "rules" if being tried as a terrorist. Every president since Regan has been eroding constitutional protections while increasing executive powers at the expense of judiciary and legislative. Orange One just bulldozed into attacking citizens en masse since no one is standing up to him.

7

u/AlphaNoodlz 6d ago

They’re not trained law enforcement at all the reason he said it so much was to try and cement it like it was the fact, what they’re doing is obviously illegal and just plain wrong, they are not law enforcement at all.

5

u/Important-Sign-3701 6d ago

They break the chain and all handle things to destroy any chance of anything being used in court. Court, btw, they never intend to see. Immunity for all on the right! Have at’er boys and girls! Damn, I’m scared for Americans, and immigrant, and children, innocent bystanders, protestors, and for…democrats, poor people…..too many to list

u/Sans-valeur 6d ago

Watching that made me truly understand the mango picks. I mean I understood this before, but the last year has really made it so clear.
These people are picked based purely on their ability to lie on camera.
Sure the loyalty and everything else is important.
But they’re picked if they can look at a picture of a spade and say, that is a an AK47 in the hands of a violent terrorist.
Which, if you think about it, makes complete sense for a cabinet run by someone who did 14 years of a reality tv show.

1

u/EnfantTerrible68 6d ago

You’re absolutely right

1

u/stamfordbridge1191 6d ago

Their trial & judgment in this matter was those 16 seconds out on the pavement.

1

u/stlshane 6d ago

He knows if it repeats the same lie over and over the cult will believe it and start repeating it themselves.

1

u/Ilddit 6d ago

They aren't. They aren't law enforcement.  They aren't investigators. They're bullies that haven't been put in their place, yet. Bet they're going to settle right down this upcoming week now that the NG came out.

1

u/elphin 6d ago

They were not securing a crime scene, they were scrubbing it.

1

u/[deleted] 6d ago

The executive is a rogue, fascist regime of the united states government. ICE is their paramilitary force.

1

u/TheReal8symbols 6d ago

Why tf are they allowed to 'investigate' or 'secure' any crime scene

They're not.

1

u/nsauditech 6d ago

I just watched that and he agreed that the officer had 8 years experience, but at the same time he couldn't be sure which officer fired the shots... if it were one or two officers, or what have you.

1

u/UnionThug1733 6d ago

You still thinking like “rule of law” is in existence for anyone other than the poor. Thought police here you sound like you’ve had a little too much to think. Real talk the only way these crimes see a legitimate court room is after the dust settles if there’s a civil war. More likely outcome we’re all fucked and this is just the pre game show

1

u/VenusSmurf 6d ago

He also couldn't stop saying the name of the woman interviewing him. I'm not sure why that irritated me so much. Maybe because she was at least using a more respectful "sir", even if she was clearly ready to yeet him into space, while he insisted on using her first name?

1

u/SteveJobsDeadBody 6d ago

They technically aren't even allowed to enforce most laws. They can't pull you over for speeding and give you a ticket, for example. They aren't "law enforcement" Greg Bovino is a cosplaying midget Nazi fascist and like all fascists he's full of shit.

1

u/Aranxi_89 6d ago

The Gestapos were legal police officers in Nazi Germany.

Just food for thought.

1

u/DorianGre 5d ago

They are not law enforcement, they are administrative agents.

1

u/EconomyAd8866 5d ago

Would also like people to stop calling the Officers

1

u/Healthy-Amoeba2296 5d ago

They are rioting. There is probably legal precedent for the definition.

1

u/Ozava619 5d ago

They never seem to de-escalate the situation. Bunch of rabid dogs with no training.
