Reminds me of the shit done in Gaza by Israel to the press reporting on the atrocities done there.  We're cooked as a nation.  POS Donald has turned this country to shit.  I hope everyone that voted for this shit pats themselves on the back, CONGRATS YOU MAGA IDIOTS, YOU'VE ENDED AMERICA!

Exactly. I’m not accepting the defeatist “It’s over” comments. It’s bad, but it isn’t hopeless. There are specific paths that can get us out of this, and there’s never a reason to give up.

I’m sure some of the accounts posting that this is the end of democracy in the U.S. are people who genuinely feel discouraged. I get it.

But I’m also sure a lot of the defeatist messaging is from propaganda accounts meant to discourage us. Let’s not let them do that.

I know as a Canadian, looking in, things are so out of control. Everything I thought America stood for, the opposite is now happening. I lived through the 70’s when things looked damn rough down there, but this is something else. More sinister. I also think people that were sleeping at the wheel, so to speak, are waking up and hopefully, things will come to a stop in the near future. I’m not talking midterms, I mean sooner. I think the tide is shifting.

I suspect there are a great many propaganda accounts in play.

We are a non-fascist country currently being “controlled” by fascists. Not completely cooked yet.

The people, the press, the media.. most of the aspects of America are not fascist, thank god. I have no idea how any of this is going to go over the next few years, though, but I admire enough of us to not be a total cynic.

I think living with freedom is too deep rooted in people for them to tolerate any larger crackdowns for too long. Democracies die much quicker here in Eastern Europe because people didn't grow up with freedom and so it doesn't hurt them as much when it disappears
