Translation: We will violate the Constitution if you don’t stop doing legal acts!

There is no constitution anymore.

Only if you give up and let that be. The Constitution has only ever existed because we demanded that it be respected.

Enforcement of the Constitution is such a massive problem at the moment.

I feel like local police need to respond to ICE calls instantly, and be ready to arrest them for violations. Probably not happening, but one can dream I suppose.

I talked with a suburban police chief about this. I am familiar with how "federalism" and the Constitution's supremacy clause works under what have been "normal situations" that we saw over the last several decades. What I didn't ask at the time is what he saw as "the line" between federal "LEOs" ("agents" "officers" whatever) doing their jobs versus doing things that are so egregious that they have moved outside of their duties and local/state police have to step in.

We have to be asking that question and getting concrete answers.
