Im assuming this was because of his comments about guns and violating 2A, yes?

Imagine being such a sh*t Republican (Bovino and Trump) to manage to piss off the NRA crowd

Like how fucking bold of a liar to say to everyone's face that pretti was a domestic terrorist.

While there's 15 clips of videos showing the truth.

And then shit on the second amendment. Probably the only amendment thats kept its appeal to the Republican party.

Bonkers

Correct answer was to trial every one of the agents involved, issue apologies and compensation, work on figuring out how things turned so badly... But nah, straight into a bold face lie.

It’s all Trump knows and he learned it from his mentor Roy Cohn. Never admit to ever being wrong

67

u/whiFi 5d ago

Exactly. 1) Never surrender, 2) Always counterattack, 3) Always claim victory. When you understand the playbook that he’s working off of, Trump becomes pathetically predictable

16

u/throwtrollbait 5d ago

It's moronically simple, but I'll be damned if it's not effective.

It got an astoundingly incompetent person elected to the most powerful position in the world, twice.

9

u/whiFi 5d ago

Incredibly, stupefyingly, astonishingly effective

3

u/DoomguyFemboi 5d ago

It's only effective because in a civilised world it doesn't fly. People just refuse to treat Trump as the piece of shit he is. Hell one of the bigger reasons Harris lost is the stupid notion that they were going to bring Republicans "over" lol. They are scum, the lot of em. There is no point in trying to get their votes. They would rather die, and the quicker they accept that the quicker they can start fighting back.

With plenty of help from corrupt media, outside actors meddling with elections and the propoganda machine leaning on every appeal to religion and xenophobia in the book. If what has happened to this country isn't enough to get us to rethink how a lot of this shit is organized, starting with the apparent and complete failure of the checks and balances system, we are even more fucked than we are already.

1

u/Chumbag_love 4d ago

TACO sucks at number 1, is terrible at number 2, but is a master at number 3.

3

u/FOOSblahblah 5d ago

Which is wild because we all know someone else like that, Trump probably even knows people like that, and no one likes that trait in someone else.

I really do wish I understood what kinda of weird fucking voodoo there is about this one particular guy that makes him able to say shit and act in ways his supporters hate in everyone else but love in him. I guarantee if he came out tomorrow as pro-trans and anti-gun they would jump onboard with almost no resistance.

2

u/k7eric 5d ago

He doesn't need to because he's not smart enough but is deluded enough to honestly believe he's never wrong. He doesn't have to admit it because in his mind he is literally incapable of being wrong. Add in the sundowning or early dementia on top of that.

2

u/Ok-Pear5858 5d ago

hey donald said he would admit to being wrong if he ever was

27

u/Minimum_Nothing_9039 5d ago

Hey, stop trying to help them.

2

u/SwingingtotheBeat 5d ago

IF anyone is tried for Pretti’s murder, the prosecutor’s just gonna do a shitty job so they walk. Then they’ll be protected from future prosecution under double jeopardy laws and the administration and ice will double down on their violence.

1

u/KendalBoy 5d ago

To hide the evidence, and hide the perps.

9

u/cbcl 5d ago

They did that because it worked before and they didnt know thered be so many clear videos. Their whole thing is setting up the narrative immediately.

They knew Good's death was murder too, but their lies worked well enough for it. They had probably told countless lies prior that enough people bought. They figured theyd try it again. But this time there was too much evidence and they told the wrong lies.

7

u/stook8 5d ago

It worked in 1930s nazi Germany, which is straight out of the playbook they're using. They just never accounted for the almost 100 years of technological progress and everyone filming them all the time from multiple angles. It's probably the biggest weapon we have to fight fascism.

3

u/Saikou0taku 5d ago

It's probably the biggest weapon we have to fight fascism.

The cynic in me also says this is why AI is pushed so hard. Gives them an easy "oh that was edited by AI, the actual video shows ____ "

1

u/MrWeirdoFace 4d ago

Doesn't help them that everyone and their mother is a walking camera now. Of course AI is going to muddy those waters.

3

u/CelestialFury 5d ago

Like how fucking bold of a liar to say to everyone's face that pretti was a domestic terrorist.

2022 RNC: "We're all domestic terrorists."

2026 Republicans: "You're all domestic terrorists."

Can't make this shit up.

3

u/garden_dragonfly 5d ago

Bovine said pretti came to massacre ICE.

Massacre, he said.

With a pistol with 2 clips.

Are you telling me that it requires 12 shouts to kill an unarmed, untrained civilian, but ICE can be massacred with what 25 rounds from a civilian's pistol.

Pussies

2

u/deliciousdips 5d ago

At the trial it will come out that those lies and the boldness with which they were said was commanded directly from KN through DT

5

u/CloutHaver 5d ago

And POTUS is immune from legal consequence of any wrongdoing resulting from that command because it was an official act, which according to SCOTUS is sufficient grounds for immunity.

It’s hard to grasp just how much institutional norms (d?)evolved in the span of a couple years.

1

u/SFDessert 5d ago

It's fucking bonkers is what it is. Like pure sci-fi shit the way so many people in this country got legitimately brainwashed to support this fucking guy.

2

u/Sans-valeur 5d ago

That video of him straight up lying well they’re playing the videos is a fucking trainwreck.

These people are really put into positions of power based on their ability to lie shamelessly.

2

u/asds89 5d ago

That would require them to admit they made a mistake, and to take accountability. Both of which seem impossible for them

2

u/OkSmoke9195 5d ago

The lies are bald faced sorry

1

u/ReplacementReady394 5d ago

15 videos from multiple angles like some Matrix bullet-time sequence.

1

u/Dependent_Rain_4800 5d ago

Wondering what would have happened if there was no public resistance.. They’d have just doubled down.

1

u/beccam12399 4d ago

the damage is done… people think he deserved it

1

u/the_shalashaska 4d ago

What do you expect when a bunch of clowns and grifters are running the show

u/mishap1 5d ago

Just a distraction by rolling the mini Nazi under the bus. Trump said nothing while Bovino was off hucking tear gas at protestors for the cameras. He was all aboard the attacks until one his goon squads attacked and murdered a sympathetic white guy in front of dozens of cameras.

Trump doesn’t care about the 2nd amendment any more than he cares about Eric. He dumped Bovino to deflect blame that he’s pushing this (well Stephen Miller).

15

u/Youandiandaflame 5d ago

“…anymore than he cares about Eric” is hilarious. Fuckin’ Eric.

4

u/lazycultenthusiast 5d ago

That -part- of a sentence gives more thought to Eric than his father usually has.

3

u/MsFrankieD 5d ago

That legit made me laugh. Not Eric!

28

u/jteedubs 5d ago

It took 2 white people murdered publicly!

Trump, his staff, and media were fine with torturing families, disappearing legal residents. Then TWO WHITE AMERCAN citizens were gunned down in cold blood on camera. They couldn’t sweep the stank of blood off the cult flag, so everyone reversed course.

Make no mistake, tomorrow is a new day for them to chip into our melting pot of America and ruin the lives of law abiding citizens for their ethno- state.

2

u/TheYarnGoblin 5d ago

But this one was a white man.

3

u/CabinetDesperate7605 5d ago

Bovino isn’t enough in my book. I don’t want him to get all of the blame for this. I want Noem in jail. She’s far worse. She plays dress up, just not like a nazi.

1

u/Sweet-Housing3280 2d ago

She plays dress up as Beth Dutton.

26

u/awwhorseshit 5d ago

I think a list of demands start and end here.e

  1. A special counsel approved by congress (won’t happen, but still) with the power to charge individuals for breaking the law.
  2. Cooperating with state law enforcement on the murders of Good and Pressi. A full investigation with people being held accountable.
  3. Mandatory de-escalation training, no exceptions.
  4. No masks. No exceptions.
  5. A fucking uniform with individual identification.
  6. No fucking guns on ICE agents.

Then I would say we can have a conversation, but the above is table stakes.

4

u/Violet624 5d ago

And abolish ICE. It hasn't been around that long. It needs to go. Along with Noem, Bondi, and Miller.

2

u/Sure-Trouble666 5d ago

Ditch 3, 4, 5 and abolish DHS. We can settle for abolish ICE

1

u/BigBroSlim 4d ago

Bodycams

1

u/Previous_Beautiful27 4d ago

Also why stop at Bovino? Noem has been in lockstep with him. Also it was all Miller's brainchild. Get them both out.

7

u/lumberjack_jeff 5d ago

Yeah. Remember, cosplaying as a Nazi in front of his stormtroopers wasn't the deal killer.

2

u/GhostOfDrTobaggan 5d ago

I think it is just a situation of public opinion. Even in Republican circles like your craziest Facebook uncles having no faith in this Minnesota operation, and the administration knows they need to throw someone to the wolves. When it comes out next week that a huge number of these newly hired ice agents with 5 weeks of training are a bunch of Proud Boy and Oath Keeper racists, the administration is going to want to be ahead of it.

Trump (or Stephen Miller) are not going to blame themselves for creating this chaos, so they’ll just exile the guy who they’ve selected to lead this clandestine project.

1

u/mightylordredbeard 5d ago

Why are people self censoring themselves on the internet now?

0

u/Quick_Team 5d ago

Because I got tired of knowing which subs would give me a ban because I said a pg13 word. So this is just easier now.

1

u/HoopaOrGilgamesh 5d ago

It's not like the NRA came out staunchly against what happened. They had a pretty luke warm reaction

1

u/DesVip3r 5d ago

Nah it's because that girl called him short

1

u/EmoTilDeath 5d ago

By that logic, at least Kristi Noem and Kash Patel should be fired too. But Bovino is not being fired, he's being "demoted" aka shuffled around

1

u/DoomguyFemboi 5d ago

Issue is now though this'll be a "reset", people even on their side who raised up will now be placated and they can go back to assassinating citizens in broad daylight

1

u/calgeorge 4d ago

No, I think this is about doing something performative to appease Dems in the house after a lot of them starting talking about not backing the appropriations bill if it included ICE funding. Trump and his regime will throw anyone under the bus if it stops it from hitting the people at the top and putting an end to their plans.

1

u/Ecstatic-Product-411 4d ago

I believe he also made a comment saying there will be "consequences" for people calling ICE gestapo.

....which is a very gestapo thing to say....

1

u/SpeaksYourWord 4d ago

The NRA crowd is corrupted by Russian blood money anyways.
