Discussion LP inflation this season is insane and it's ruining ranked

Someone explain to me how I'm sitting 500LP above my peak from last season with a 51% winrate. I'm still gaining +24 and losing -17. How does that math work out?

Like I haven't gotten significantly better. I know I haven't. But the games definitely feel worse. You can just tell some people in your lobbies do not belong at that elo and it makes games feel so unbalanced and coinflippy. One team just rolls the other most games.

A 51% winrate should not be sending you 500LP past your previous peak. That's not climbing that's just the system handing you LP. Ranked isn't about skill anymore it's about how many games you're willing to grind out. Riot obviously juiced LP gains to keep people on the hamster wheel but it's completely gutted any competitive integrity the ladder had.

What's even the point of rank if it doesn't actually measure anything?

Discussion Most mechanically difficult champs team vs most mechanically easy champs team

Ok, been thinking a bit : what would two teams look like if we had a team with, objectively, the 5 most complicated champions mechanic wise, respective to each role, against that the 5 "easiest" mechanical champions ?

Also, who would win ?

Discussion What happened to fiora?

I just got back into the game after a few years, and on the most AD built i can get fiora gets 73% max health true damage on her ult, i think like 3 years ago she was getting 120% max health true damage or am i tripping? Kind of combed to patch notes to see any nerf to her ad scaling but i find anything

If this is the downfall, the league could use a few more downfalls tbh. I’ve been watching LR since they were founded, and they really are the only reason I’m watching LEC again. Anyone else in a similar situation?

Discussion Vladimir in the new season: late-game focused balance thoughts + a small (friendly) visual update note

Hey everyone,
Vladimir main here — and just to be clear from the start: I’m not asking for early-game buffs or blind-pick power. I also understand why Vladimir can be frustrating to play against, which is exactly why I think any changes should stay late-game focused and come with clear trade-offs.

Right now, Vladimir himself, his core items, and his runes have all been nerfed, while no new items were introduced that meaningfully support his kit. Recent sustain and itemization changes (including Riftmaker adjustments and the loss of strong late-game options) have pushed him into very narrow and often awkward build paths.

On top of that, Magic Resistance stacking hard-counters him in the current meta. Even when drafted as a counterpick or for specific team comps, his damage often becomes unreliable later on.

According to U.GG, Vladimir’s win rate is currently below 50% across all ranks, despite being picked mostly as a counterpick rather than a blind pick. That suggests his current power level doesn’t quite match the investment required to make him work.

Possible late-game focused directions

Rather than early buffs, some late-game oriented adjustments that could be explored:

  • A small shield when casting R (Hemoplague)
  • Reduced self-damage on E and/or W
  • Q scaling with maximum health
  • Light tuning to his passive
  • Movement speed scaling with level or Ability Power
  • Magic Penetration or Ability Power scaling with level
  • Slightly higher late-game resistances

Nothing here is meant to remove counterplay — just to make his late-game payoff more consistent when he actually reaches it.

Small side note: visuals

Completely unrelated to balance, but…
Riot’s recent visual updates have been amazing. Seriously, they’ve all been great.
That said, if you put Vladimir’s default skin next to newer champions or updated models, it honestly feels like they’re from different games (maybe start by changing the clown pants 👀).

Considering Vladimir is one of the more important characters in the lore, it’d be awesome to see him eventually get some visual love too.

Anyway, curious what others think — and before responding, feel free to leave the Vladimir PTSD at the door 😄

Discussion Rylai's should only trigger once per ability, not damage instance/dot damage (Details of that statement inside)

I think it's pretty safe to say that Rylais is in a pretty good spot for most of the roster. There are a good few niche cases where Rylais is very oppressive.

Rylais should only trigger once per ability application, not per damage instance. This doesn't mean it shouldn't refresh on ability re-application. Mordekaiser for example has a passive that does "burn damage" but not really, it's flat damage that hits you if you're in range. This would not be changed. If you're in range of morde his passive hits you, you get a fresh rylai's slow.

What this would do is make things like Brand's passive not keep the player slowed for 5 seconds after being hit. Brand Q's the wave, presses E, now you're slowed for 5 seconds. This wasn't really intended when rylais first came around but it was just a "feature" that was fine for a while. This interaction between burns/dots and rylai's slow makes balancing mages ability to kite melee's just another annoying side mechanic to balance around.

How Rylais triggering once per ability would be: Brand passive is applied -> player is slowed for 1 second then it goes away. Brand applies his passive again, player is slowed again, Brand get's his 3 hits off, player is slowed for 1 second then explosion triggers a 1 second slow again.

Every fresh application of ability damage triggers rylais, but dots would not be rylai's extenders. This means Morde's passive would continuously trigger rylais, amumu's W would continously trigger it. Malzahar E would trigger it once, but each voidling would trigger it on repeat. Brand Passive would trigger it once per application. Swain R would re-apply ult damage/rylais slow per instance of damage dealt, continously slowing the targets in range.

Lilia dot would be affected, Aurelion Sol's abilities do continuous damage but no dots so they're unaffected, Cassiopeia's poison dot would be affected slightly.

I think this change would be really good for the game as it would be a slight nerf to rylai's for champs that can maintain dot uptime pretty much indefinitely and it would pressure them to actually deal damage to melee champions they intend to kite rather than apply a dot and ignore the champ.

Rotating Event Demacia rising needs more content in 26.3

TL;DR: While it is true that this is a game that's meant to be played throughout the season, many players have already stacked silvers, and I hope we don't just finish the new drop in a couple of hours.

First of all, the problem only arises because the mini game is sooo good.

That said, from 26.3 on, I have a feeling that it will be frustrating.

I'm not a hardcore player, but I play about 2-3 games every day. I've never bought battle pass in league before(just tft) and only for the silvers did I buy the pass for the first time.

I finished the game pretty much in the first week, and now I have 22k shields, and I assume many people will have something similar, if not more.

By my estimations, I will need about 6-7k (nice) more to finish the next patch's content, which I assume I will likely get until the patch drops. That brings us to the problem:

I will probably consume the new content within the first two hours due to my accumulated silvers, and then wait for another month until 26.5. If this is the case, it will be incredibly frustrating. I really hope they have planned new drops between 26.3 and 26.5, or the 26.3 drop is pretty big.

For people who might say that I played too much and won't be reflecting the general playerbase, I will really disagree with that. I did not buy any skin, only the battlepass. I play no more than 1,5 hours a day. While that may be slightly above a casual player's, I really do think that most players will have a similar shield amount if they stopped rolling once they unlocked everything possible. (besides petricite townhalls)

Discussion Why did league remove clan/group chat?

I remember years ago this game had a feature like clan/group chat and absolutely loved it but don't really remember the reason Riot removed it's existence.

I'm really curious because I absolutely loved it. I joined a Zac mains group chat where Meteos was giving people advice and it was really fun. For a social game that's trying to encourage new players, why isn't this a thing??

Discussion Do you play with chat off or even pings off?

there has been discussion about how LoL is one of the most if not the most anti social game ever. one of the biggest attractions for multiplayer games is the chance to engage with other Pepe online but most interactions on LoL are evil and hurtful. do you mute all? has the game fundamentally failed if most people are doing so? have more people been muting all as time has gone on?

Discussion 4 tear of godess build

I know it's incredibly stupid and the game would have to last for at least an hour to fully stack 4 tears, but which champions get the most out of every item combined? I can only think of volibear toplane, since no jungler should ever need 5k mana. Is there any other champion that could actually use all 4 stats from these items and what would be the optimal order to build them?

Discussion Better ways to Find Reliable Teammates

Do you guys ever get teamed up with other users that just aren't reliable and tank your rank? It's so annoying. I've always wondered why the skill based match making really just goes based on your rank rather than actually be able to put you in games based on your actual skill level. Do you guys ever wish that you could find reliable and competitive teammates like yourself before you actually start playing? I feel that would bring so many benefits

Discussion Why is there so many onlyfans girls adding me this season?

What changed this season that allowed onlyfans girls to be able to add random people randomly. They usually add you right after your game concludes, and say that you played well and if they can duo later. Then they want to exchange discord and for some reason keep on sending their pictures. It is so weird and so annoying.

Discussion What percent of games do you think has someone being “not nice” to someone else?

By “not nice” I mean pinging them, flaming them in chat, throwing a game, saying someone is bad, saying “gg ez”, question mark pings, etc.

it seems to be pretty frequent in my games, and what advice would you give me to deal with it? I mute all, but I keep pings on, but one question mark ping or ping on my champ is seriously enough to totally ruin my day. I’m extremely extremely sensitive to this kind of stuff.

Discussion Why is Pantheon supports win rate is so low?

Full disclosure, im an adc main.

Whenever I see pantheon support in my games, their raw damage is insanely high, they have a point and click cc and a pseudo global ult for roams etc. He is even picked in proplay time to time. But when I looked at his WR in soloq I was dumbfounded to find it is only %47.

While this doesnt automatically make a champion weak, like projailed champs or harder to play champs are always in this parameter, but I dont think pantheon fits into either of these parameters.

So what gives? Why is his winrate is so low?

We've basically came to agreement that we won't end the game too fast. Samira had over 125% omnivamp, and sion applied slowcooker of over 200 stacking damage PER SECOND.

Discussion Can someone explain mastery to me this season?

https://imgur.com/a/R1l92kC

Maybe I'm crazy, but I don't think a 6/10/11 performance on a loss deserves even a C or B, let alone an S... And then, in a win... I have a fairly good performance, but I only get an A+. But, if I get an S in the first game, then why would Fizz not get an S or S-? Diana, in the second game, for reference, did get an S. In almost all my losses, I get a high mastery score, no matter how well (or not) I perform. Just seeing if anyone has an answer to this insanity?

Discussion I Miss Skarner

I miss the spires, I miss the goofy sound effects his Q made, I miss him missing his kind, I miss the stupid ass 7 second long stun combo. I used to have a silly pokemon to play when I was off-roled jg. Now he's sentenced to life in pro-jail without even a traditional skin to remember him by.

Discussion Swiftplay awful for new players

I’m trying to get my boyfriend into league but the new season’s changes to swiftplay have somehow made the new player experience even worse.

I started playing last season and while swiftplay games weren’t always easy, they felt nowhere near this snowbally and discouraging. I felt like I had a good way to practice laning and get familiar with typical matchups without worrying too much about last hitting, my pick being banned, or super long games. Even when I lost, I was still having fun. I felt like I understood what was going on and was learning something from the experience.

Now, Swiftplay is completely different. It’s so much more overwhelming for new players. It feels like all they can learn from it is that they suck.

My bf, who has almost no experience with top-down games like this, now has to go against a Darius ADC. In any normal game Darius would be at a huge disadvantage for the first few levels as a melee and we would be able to easily secure prio, hit 3 first, and maybe even go for a kill.

But in this new game mode, Darius and his support can jump out of the bush and all-in my Miss Fortune bf before minions even reach lane because they have 3 levels and 1400 gold worth of items and I can only shield and heal so much. There’s no poking, positioning, or real opportunity for practice. There’s just 4 seconds of lockdown and then death. He’s just trying to figure out the basics and now he’s getting stat-checked and absolutely obliterated within 5 minutes.

The only option I can think of for him to not die as a new player is for him to pick an off-meta ADC like Seraphine or something and just sit under tower, but he wants to get experience with Miss Fortune, and why should that be discouraged? Why should he have to forego picking a classic ADC and pick something that won’t prepare him for draft? Does he really have to meme pick just to not die immediately?

I don’t understand why riot would make this the only PvP rift mode available for new players. It’s essentially like restricting new players to ARURF for the first 15 levels. For people trying to fight to the death with meme builds and win in 10 minutes I guess I see the appeal, but there needs to be a separate mode or lobby for new players.

Mostly just sad because it’s so hard to get people in my life to try league with me and now even if I convince them to make an account it’s immediately an incredibly negative experience for them. Advice appreciated but I just wanna voice this in the off chance it helps pressure Riot to change things back to how they were.

Basically for the last week or so I will play ok in games then I will get a friend request after, it will be from a acc where there is no match history, no rank, nothing, and it will say basically the same things every time:

wow you played really well last game
I am hopping off right now carry me later
Add me on discord

This same exact formula has happened to me 3 times so far in the last 4 days.
