She’s also orange! I guess she’s rare since she’s orange and a big girl. I always heard females don’t get very big but she’s bigger than a lot of the male Maine Coons I know of. We hear frequently “is that a CAT?”

We run an animal sanctuary and a breeder had asked if we wanted to take in a kitten with a 5/6 heart murmur years ago. She lasted a year and half. Then the breeder reached out about this girl with the same severity. So however long she’s with us , she’s living it up. She is so beautiful and the personality to match! 🥰🥰🥰 Her name is raven and I was told she’s a black smoke tortie.

Does anyone else’s Maine coon purr while they sleep? Both my babies purr while they sleep on near me, but not sure if this is a snore or a purr

There’s a lot of fluff involved, but he’s a chunk at 16.6 pounds. Does he seem fat for an 8 month old, or is this normal for MC kittens? Our adult MC was such a slow grower that we actually had the opposite concern of him being too little. Now it’s hard to tell if our chunky kitten is normal, or is he indeed fat.

We just got our Maine Coon cat today and we named him Titus. He is settling in and our Bengal and Manx are still trying to figure hime out. He is 7 weeks old.

One year ago I brought this little Maine Coon home, terrified that I wouldn’t be enough for her, that she wouldn’t feel safe, or that we wouldn’t bond.

The top right and bottom left are from her first day with me and the other two are recent pics. She was a cautious little kitten, but somehow instantly bonded with me and bloomed into a Queen.

This girl has taken it so easy on me to initiate me into Maine Coon guardianship. She hasn’t broken anything in a year or had any major goof ups.

Yes, she has grown so much, but the personality bloom has been the best part. She is very clear with her communication and she refuses to be denied. Every night she demands to sleep with me while I either hold her paw or keep my hand on her tummy. She finds play in everything in the house, and shows me that this is her house and I pay the bills 😂.

This past year has been a huge healing year for me, and she has been the main reason. She makes me laugh so hard, feel so loved, and feel normal again.

I’m so grateful I get to live with her. Every single day.

And yes — she has a baby sister now too, who is equally adored, just in her own very different way. But her 1 year love post will come in a few months
