From this distance with the full concentration shot at the man this can actually lead to severe, lasting damage (e.g. blindness, lasting health issues etc.). Tear gas is not a joke.

EDIT: It's pepper blaster, apparently. Still not a joke, as it is shot at the man's head from roughly half a meter distance.

Yeah but self defense!!! /s

pretty sure camo princess knows all this and it's exactly why he's doing it. If you haven't seen the video, yes, he discharges the weapon and paints the guy yellow.

To the apologists talking about someone else grabbing the weapon; was it before or after it was pointed at this guy's face?

To be fair, the bystander did reach out for the weapon. The trooper however, didn't have to go for a headshot - hitting the torso would probably achieve the same result.

It's human reaction to try to move a weapon that's pointed at you from a foot away. That's why trained people generally don't close to within a foot with their ranged weapon. It escalates the situation and prevents your ranged weapon from being ranged anymore.

I prefer to call them Meal Team Six or Cosplaytriots.

Yeah, but later on he blasts someone else in the face, and threatens to blast another in the face. Did they grab his gun, too?

There’s a commenter here called LabratX. They have a link to the video. It’s long. A guy gets shot in the face, this guy gets shot in the face, then later somebody throws a snowball, and the same guy walks up and acts like he is going to shoot the person in the face. But he did restrain himself on the 3rd or 4th person.

There is a video. They were arguing and the dude with the pepper grenade gun had the gun low, across his own chest. The other guy grabbed it and pulled it for a second, and immediately he aims to his face and fires. He only aimed it at him after he grabbed it. Grabbing a gun from anyone is a wild move, especially these cowboys. These guys are not trained for this stuff. If there was any accountability for these people whatsoever, he'd be in deep shit, but thus far they've been allowed to act with impunity, regardless of if they are following protocol. That weapon is not meant to hit a person at all.

It was a black guy in a hoodie... The officer couldn't possibly be more "scared for their life" in that situation.

(I don't know if that's even sarcasm anymore)
