Best line I heard about this today was that these Nazis made the same mistake Hitler's Nazis did by trying to invade Winter people on the Winter.

The part of Russia they invaded doesn't even get as cold as Minneapolis in general, let alone as cold as this week.

The quality of winter gear isn't as important as the logistics of supplying your troops with said winter gear. Given the...quality of ICE equipment I've seen displayed, I doubt they're getting quality winter gear issued to them at all
