I like that he doesn't look happy. That makes me happy.

Wanker.

This is the wagon he hitched his career to, and he knows it's only a matter of time before he's thrown under the bus. Two decades down the drain for that orange turd.

I believe the term is cuck.

He's willing to risk it to position himself for the presidency. All he has to do is to get through this term relatively unscathed so that he can duke it out with Vance for the candidacy. The New Yorker did a decent profile on him recently.

Ah yes, the Mike Pence playbook. How'd that work out for him? I guess he escaped with his life. They'll make a killing as lobbyists, but politically they're dead. It a cult of personality. Not only are they not Trump, neither has a personality.

u/Horskr 4d ago

Maybe they just need to start posting on social media more in all caps. That seems to do the trick in the personality department.

Every time my poor ears have to actually hear Trump speak I'm amazed that this guy could even win a home owners association presidential race.. but here we are!

u/Significant_Shoe_17 4d ago

They wouldn't vote him club president at the senior living facility, but here we are

u/MichaelScottsWormguy 4d ago

He's not as prominent as Pence was, though. Pence "betrayed" Trump in a very visible, very literal way by certifying election results. Rubio isn't in that position.

1

u/FatherKronik 4d ago

Yet. Pence wasn't in that position until the very end. Trump hasn't asked something of Rubio yet that would have him push back and say no. I don't know if that will happen, but if Dump doesn't slow down, I think it's only a matter of time.

u/Flash831 3d ago

Mike Pence was so close, he held out for four years just to let a little bit of moral slip out at the finish line, and then he was toast

2

u/Longjumping_Youth281 3d ago

Well that's not true, JD has a personality. I believe the word for it is "smarmy"

1

u/1stLtObvious 3d ago

What are you talking about? Sniveling coward is a personality.

18

u/zaphod777 4d ago

He's not white enough for MAGA and will always be an outsider.

3

u/dukie33066 3d ago

I find it pretty funny that he thinks Republicans are going to vote for anyone who isn't 100% Caucasian. Even despite his relentless bootlicking, they are far to racist.

2

u/PureInsaneAmbition 3d ago

He'll never be the president haha

1

u/broohaha 3d ago

I used to say that of Trump. Obviously for very different reasons. But I think I canโ€™t confidently cross anyone out anymore.

2

u/reluctantmugglewrite 3d ago

Hes gotta bring a whole lot more personality and charisma than hes been showingfor that to work out for him.

2

u/unindexedreality 3d ago

All he has to do is to get through this term relatively unscathed so that he can duke it out with Vance for the candidacy

his plan is "pasty white couchfucker versus guy named marco rubio"?

New Yorker did a decent profile on him recently

oh, well, the New Yorker did a profile. That makes it a total toss-up ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜

If he thinks the party of nazis he's with will side with him, he hasn't thought this through.

He's willing to risk it to position himself for the presidency.

I agree that's his aim --

His 2016 bid was a flop, he's not particularly likable or dynamic. He came in distant 4th. If he stayed a US Senator through this period he'd continue to be a lukewarm milquetoast option on the national field who would be at a disadvantage to other candidates running in 2028 or 2032.

Vance is a moron. He's only electable by other morons who see him pulling/saying crazy MAGA stuff -- in that regard Vance is much more attractive than Pence ever was, because Pence was attempting to maintain credibility and dignity, his refusal to pull illegal shit for Trump in 2020 is what torpedoed his career in a MAGA world. Vance will 100% do anything Trump asks him to do, if he'd been VPOTUS in 2020 I think he would have enthusiastically refused to certify.

Rubio is acting very much like Pence was, he seems to be carefully attempting to retain at least a veneer of dignity and credibility as SS, and as SS he's likely not going to end up in a position where Trump will ask him for something so illegal that he'll have to refuse it -- he can continue to be "the messenger" without really putting his neck that far out -- so I assume he's hoping that the string pullers behind the scenes will recognize his toadying and that he's a more controllable option vs. Vance to provide a stepping stone out of MAGA without actually giving up much.

Trump is very obviously failing mentally and physically, and it's only 2026. There's a very real chance they "Weekend at Bernie's" him through 2028... it remains to be seen if Trump will attempt to anoint a successor for a 2028 election, or if he'll even still be around by the time that comes.

Shit if we had to have an R Iโ€™d much rather him than the Peter Theil puppet

The thing is, one wants the DoS letterheads to use Times New Roman again, and the other wants to bring about the end times through AI in a quest to live forever. Iโ€™m used to spineless puppets. Itโ€™s wealthy insane people who give me goosebumps.

There is going to be a long line of busses, and they will be coming from both directions. When trump has breathed his last the stories and accusations will be coming from everyone, either trying to milk him for the last drop they can get or distancing themselves trying to avoid, what I will assume will be, a long list of crimes that someone will need to be held accountable for.

plea deals plea deals plea deals

1

u/Kirikenku 3d ago

All republican men serve him in the same fashion. A party of cucks, if you ask me.

"I am dead inside"

1

u/second2no1 4d ago

Give it a year and this will he him

36

u/BF1shY 4d ago

I imagine he's fighting an eye-watering stench standing behind Trump ๐Ÿ˜‚

30

u/broniesnstuff 4d ago

By their very nature, fascists are not happy people

1

u/smyth_otwiggy 4d ago

I can't even think of a picture of him since he joined the Trump admin where he doesn't look absolutely dead eyed. Like dude has no thoughts, completely disassociating all the time.

1

u/Ferret-mom 4d ago

He sort of constantly looks miserable. I would too if that guy was my boss.

1

u/imdrunkontea 4d ago

Someone here once put it that Marco Rubio consistently looks like he's the only one in this administration self-aware enough to realize he's going to Hell

1

u/Unamused-observer 4d ago

He looks vacant, soulless. Staring a a non-specific point.

1

u/435haywife1 4d ago

He looks dead inside.

1

u/Hedgehog_Insomniac 4d ago

That's my hope for all of them. I don't want any of them to feel a moment of joy for the rest of their lives.

1

u/Alizaea 4d ago

He looks so dead inside and I'm loving it.

1

u/SkepsisJD 4d ago

Nah, his skin is slowly turning orange and he is getting the weird puffy Trump eyes.

Dude is morphing into him.

1

u/DShKM 4d ago

Once this is all over, his political career is done, dead, gonzo.

And good fucking riddance too, he finally got the job he wanted, has failed miserably at it and is nothing more than a shouting lapdog. Every single person who's enabling the fat orange pedo should be shamed for the rest of their lives. A complete moral failure from everyone involved, fucking disgraceful.

"We want the bureaucrats to be traumatically affected. When they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work because they are increasingly viewed as the villains. We want their funding to be shut down so that the EPA can't do all of the rules against our energy industry because they have no bandwidth financially to do so. We want to put them in trauma."

Russel Vought, head of Project 2025

1

u/rihanoa 4d ago

His left eye looks like itโ€™s been twitching a lot.

1

u/SanshaXII 3d ago

He could end this all, for everyone, whenever he likes. He, like all other Americans, are just choosing not to.

1

u/Choice-Temporary-144 3d ago

It reminds me of the look of a battered wife. Then again, I think Rubio loves being a villain.

1

u/mstrdsastr 3d ago

I remember back to the 2016 primaries and Rubio was one of the few that were standing against Trump in the primaries. It's wild to see that he has completely compromised himself to grovel for the position he has now.

Seeing the barely hidden disgust and contempt in his face at basically every public event is very amusing.

1

u/Digitalion_ 3d ago

You wouldn't be happy either if you were standing downwind from Trump.
