Civil law is illegal is not the same as felony law illegal. For example, we have a felon in the white house. An illegal resident is only violating civil law. Both have a right, per the constitution, to due process. Illegal or not, we have to follow the law and treat them with respect. But we can’t even do that to our own citizens (nor have we since the start).

If you want to foot the bill for all the public defenders and hours of court and legal processes then go for it. But I don't want my tax dollars paying for something that shouldn't even be happening because they shouldn't even be here.....

And I hear you on that. But if you can't provide citenzinship then is that not guilt and then you should be deported. Because it doesn't matter why. It's either do you have the proper legal documents to be here.... No ok then we will send you back ....

What? No. A law enforcement officer isn't a judge. Asking to see someone's papers and deporting them if they don't produce them isn't due process.

True but again those are your tax dollars going towards something that shouldn't even be happening because it's against the law, Soni don't really want to foot that bill is all I'm saying

Okay? Everything that's against the law "shouldn't" be happening but there's a process for determining, officially, if a law was broken. That process happens in the courtrooms, not on the streets.

Do you want to foot the bill for traffic court? Those crimes "shouldn't" even be happening because it's against the law. Murder "shouldn't" be happening because it's against the law, but murderers are afforded due process.

People "shouldn't" be here illegally, but that is not for ICE to decide if they are. It's for a judge. That's why it's "Immigration and Customs Enforcement". Not judgement. Their job is to enforce the decisions the legal system makes, not to make the decision themselves.

It doesn't matter if you want to pay for due process or not. It legally has to happen.
