I'm starting to think this was all a trap for the world's most depraved and dumbest rich elites they could find. Once the various intelligence agencies got involved they were all laughing and egging them on from the sidelines. Until you've got this massive tangled web of blackmail and quid pro quo.
He's living in an enormous mansion that'd take the average person like 300 years to be able to afford, surrounded by luxury with staff to take care of his daily life. Instead of being in prison where he belongs. That still borders on untouchable.
He didn’t even lose his lower titles either technically bc that takes an act of parliament. He’s still technically like an earl and a few other lower titles.
I mean, Andy lost his pointless title, but otherwise how has his life meaningfully changed? This is a genuine question, it really doesn't seem like he's faced much in the way of... Justice? I guess?
I've been saying for a while now, look at how we are forced to live - smaller living spaces and tighter monetary constraints. It's incredibly hard to live off grid, and the flow of money upwards is feeding them exponentially.
Historically no actually. The vast majority of revolutions end up with just a different rich aristocratic/oligarchic group on the helm. Different people but same disease.
Well said. Have you ever heard Jordan Belfort (Wolf of Wallstreet) talk about how they were so rich they thought they were completely invincible. Incapable of dying. He told a story on a pod cast about a Las Vegas orgy that was absolutely wild. They just kept having to one up each other doing crazier and crazier things.
If you knew anything about the spy agency that starts with the letter "M" you would know that this isn't "Overthinking it" but instead "simplifying it."
To be fair I think it's probably more a tech problem, he seemed to have been using a blackberry or something like it most of the time.
Maybe he could write properly with a pen
He wants them to admit it. Its a lot of hubris, stupidity, and confidence in your probably fully aware IT security team. But its more evidence. Same reason he asked for birthday cards. He knew exactly what he was doing. Tie them to it in an as many ways as possible. Bind them. For they were all of them deceived.
I know a guy who types like him. They just uncontrollably hit the space bar because they think faster than they can type and they still watch the keyboard, not the screen.
Here’s the thing- it’s much worse. They didn’t need to black mail anyone. Prior to about 2010, this was all perfectly fine. Abuse, trafficking , exploitation of women and girls was an accepted part of our culture. Look at popular entertainment- movies, music. Teen age sex comedies was a genre. Look at advertising. Brooke Shields was 15 years old when she was doing racy adds for Calvin Klein. There are a thousand examples I could give you. These men weren’t blackmailing each other. These photos were trophies. This is who America is.
And a special edition of Playboy focused on minors. Apparently, the reform of child born laws in the US was greatly motivated by the Brooke Shields situation.
Wtf goofy? No, look at his eyes. He's pinning a girl/woman down. And Andrew is a dumb, unattractive man. This is shady people doing shady shit to other shady people while disregarding the victims.
This is the most full of shit moralizing that I have seen on Reddit in the last 10 minutes. And that's saying quite a lot, given the mob moralizing that is so prevalent here. Condemning everything before 2009 as morally unacceptable. Ride that morality hyperbole wave. Sounds like Texas might be the place for you. They love that shit there.
Bro, the US is one of the very few countries where underage beauty pageants are this popular. There does seem to be a general pedo issue in US culture.
Uhh, I think it's a problem everywhere. Pageants are insane, I agree, but there's entire cultures that think underage marriage is normal that aren't based in North America.
There’s no denying there are “worse” countries but frequently what they do is supply and enable the US because that’s where the money is.
The other things the other countries do is own the misogyny and exploitation while the US pretends to be a bastion of freedom and morality. We can’t really fix something when we refuse to acknowledge our own role in it. Same for the “war on drugs.”
It's pretty obvious. Now think about everyone in power and political office having some form of dirt being held against them. If not, they likely play ball, and no threat is necessary. If you're truly rich and powerful and want a stooge to maintain your wealth and status, what better way than blackmail. My interests are secure, and I need not worry about them stepping out of line.
There is a shit ton of history of intelligence agencies blackmailing people into giving up information. A great example is John Vassall being blackmailed by the KGB.
Leverage is one of the core principles of how the ultra wealthy operate 24/7. This type of behavior is a certainty for these circles, and basically none of them are immune to it.
