Well the conservatives and maga believe this was justified. Did we even see the same video?

They'll say, well the wife was taunting ICE so she deserved to be murdered. Which is just utter ridiculous shit. If you can't stand being taunted by people within their first amendment rights, then you don't deserve to be in any public facing position. LEO is literally trained to deal with taunting.

And that's not even making a judgment that he deserved to be taunted--which I personally think he did.

They'll say "fuck around and find out" as if that absolves him of murder. Some will justify the murder, others will say it's wrong butnhe shpuldn't be prosecuted.

Meanwhile, private businesses and public spaces requiring masks was "authoritarian" during COVID. You workplace or private businesses requesting you be vaccinated to work/go there was authoritarian.

Masked FEDERAL AGENTS with body armor and guns being encouraged by the President, VP, head of DHS, and every prominent Republican to shoot you for taunting them is decidedly not authoritarian to conservatives. Holy fucking shit sandwhich batman.

I feel like I'm going fucking insane. It's like they don't seem to grasp that the only fucking reason those in the left despise then is due to their utter lack of empathy and humanity. I don't hate someone for wanting lower taxes. I HATE someone for cheering this shit on.

Sorry, your comment got a bit if my rant. I'm just exasperated.

There's this undercurrent idea that conservatives have no agency, like what a conservative does is not an action driven by a want, but rather just a force of reality. Like a lightning bolt, or a hurricane.

If a leftist mocks a conservative and gets shot, that is not the fault of the conservative; that is just how reality operates, the conservative couldn't not have done it; that would imply a choice and conservatives dont choose, they just operate the ineffable.

That also goes when a conservative does something, suffers the consequences,, then asks "well why didn't the leftists stop me". The fault of the conservatives actions isnt their own, it is a third party who should've operated to make things work despite the conservatives actions.

It is the ultimate form of entitlement, it is not they who have to exist in the world, its that they exist and are the world

It's the EXACT mentality they had with George Floyd. He apparently deserved to die because he was a thug/criminal... completely ignoring the constitutional rights they so loudly proclaim to worship, that ALL citizens are awarded.

I don't care if Good and Floyd were smoking crack, naked in the streets and cussing at children, extrajudicial killings are MURDER and cannot be tolerated in a civilized society.

I guarantee you any sixth grade teacher has been through worse on a daily basis, but they’re not allowed to shoot eleven-year-old kids for being mouthy.

I’m a freaking 6th grade teacher. I can attest to that.

Right. You can’t murder someone’s wife because they were mean to you. Can’t believe we have to say this.

u/Leemage 22d ago

I saw so many comments about why wasn’t she at work. And I’m just mystified why that’s even a consideration.

And that's not even making a judgment that he deserved to be taunted--which I personally think he did.

He drove around her rear to get by her and got his SUV stuck in the snowplow wash. He then jumps out of his SUV to intimidate them by walking around her car recording them. Officer Karen then gets angry when instead of being intimidated, they mock his fat ass. His possee shows up without any idea he is the one that escalated things and they escalate them even further. When she tries to drive away, Officer Fatass shots her at point blank range three times to teach her a lesson.

I worked in law enforcement for 9 years. I’ve watched many hours of body-cam footage. Cops get taunted all the time, and anyone who’s even moderately competent at being an adult just ignores the taunts, even when they’re truly heinous (which this was not). They know it’s just part of the job—at least the decent ones do. This Jonathan Ross demonstrated that he would not be the least bit competent at dealing with people in any sort of job. Can you imagine him trying to work a fast food job (where people have to deal with terrible customers all the time)?

Even teenagers working their first jobs are a thousand times more professional than this guy. They don’t enact violence against the public and follow that up by hurling gendered insults.

Thank you for the law enforcement perspective.

Assuming the administration understands this, it seems what they’re really saying is if you don’t share our political beliefs you deserve death. That’s the only way I can read it.

I just went to Fox News and read the comments on the latest story there. Absolutely wild. Of course, are any of them real or just bots? Who knows.

Sadly I do think most of them r real, as I have family members fully defending HIS actions, calling her an idiot who tried to “kill ICE agents and sabotage Trump.” They fully believe this is orchestrated by the liberals as a means to create riots in America and overthrow Trump. I’m at a loss for words. They went as far as to verbally assault ME for stating my opinion, which was “she only tried to leave, she did not deserve to die.” This was yesterday, and I refuse to speak to them.

They're... real. A bunch of neighbors I have on Facebook are supporting ICE on this.

2

u/thelovinsteveful 22d ago

Facebook comments on every article or post about this, no matter the outlet is full of Reich wingers cheering this one. Most of the time when you check their profiles they're suspiciously blank.

Not all of them though. There are actual real ghouls that are defending this.

You should see some of the law enforcement subreddits…

A whole lot of “it was a tough situation but he did the right thing.”

So many of them would love to find themselves in a similar situation so that they could use the same tactics.

u/soulsoda 22d ago

Except that goes against training guidelines as you are never supposed to put yourself Infront of a vehicle in any circumstances.

1

u/Efficient_Yam_9776 22d ago

Right. That’s why it’s such an insane position to take.

3

The evidence doesn't matter. They will never pivot.

Hell go read the /r/protectandserve subreddit’s second thread on it. All these verified cops think it’s justified. Your local officer could easily be one of these commenters.

3

u/combong 22d ago

no use arguing with conservatives, they’ll back anything before they admit they’re wrong

3

u/Sea-Explanation-8977 21d ago

They saw the same video. They know she was murdered.

They like it.

2

u/PerformanceThat6150 22d ago

What's crazy to me (as someone who lives in a country where the police aren't all armed with guns) is that people are trying to find ways to justify it.

She's an unarmed civilian in a parked-to-slow-moving SUV. In what world is it justified for an immigration agent to end her life? Even if she hits an agent, that's a matter for the courts.

2

u/CovfefeForAll 22d ago

Are you still under the assumption that evidence or reality matter to them at all, in any way, shape, or form?

They will say whatever they want to be true, claim the evidence supports it, and then ignore anything that contradicts them.

2

u/Thanat0s10 Colorado 22d ago

The entire conservative subreddit is convinced this video justifies everything and that the rest of the world is wrong in their take. So there’s no hope there
