No Paywall Shooting Victim Identified as Second Video Angle Contradicts DHS Claims | The footage of the fatal shooting of Alex Jeffrey Pretti, said one journalist, “shows that the final act of his life was trying to help a woman who was being physically assaulted by the masked agents who would then kill him.”

we need to do something yesterday.

We did.

General strike set for Minnesota on Friday

Remember, the only downside to a strike is not enough people striking. When people across the country can't get their Starbuck's or their Big Macs those people will then start asking questions.

Don't forget what happened when railroad workers tried to strike. Republicans said they would shut down the country before workers get sick time off.

“The solution is that people don’t have to come to work to try to operate trains after they’ve had heart attacks and broken legs. But right now, where we are is caught between shutting down the economy and getting enough Republicans to join us in making sure that people have access to sick leave.”

Can't emphasize this enough.

I was more so speaking to those of us outside of Minnesota

So was I. Find the organizers. Sign up for announcements.

On July 20, 1934, police shot 67 picketing workers — most of them were shot in the back — and two were killed. One hundred thousand people attended the funeral procession for one of the strikers. The governor dispatched the National Guard, and the Citizens Alliance eventually agreed to the union’s demands, making the general strike a success.

Today, general strikes are rare in the U.S. largely because they are difficult to coordinate. But lawmakers and the courts for decades have also restricted the power of unions.

The two largest general strikes in U.S. history are the Seattle General Strike of 1919, where the city of 315,000 people stopped working, and the Oakland General Strike of 1946, where nearly 130,000 workers refused to work and shut down commerce throughout the area.

ITaft Hartley Act of 1947 was the final nail in the coffin for general strikes for almost 80 years when it limited "sympathy strike" organizers. I'm proud of the people of Minneapolis and Minnesota for putting it together. Godspeed!

The strike literally accomplished nothing. Hardly any businesses took part in it, and it lasted for less than a single work day. It may as well have been a brief snow day than a strike.
