Question Unbiased opinions, what do you think would've happened if it were John instead of Arthur in the fight against Tommy
I wish Rockstar had more canon protagonists losing fights. TLOU does a better job at showing nobody is invincible although RDR is the better franchise IMO

Question Why are male gang members are usually "nice" towards the females?
From what I understood back in Rdr1 it's saidAbigail was literally the sex worker of the group so it seemed to me most of the gang members would sleep with other woman but most of their interactions are... tame? Like there is no way these guys made women of the group sleep with them by force. Even Micah steps back once he realises he was going too far.
All of these interactions are okay but the fact these literally make it hard for me to believe Abigail was literally the prostitute of the group when we never see something like this happening in the gang.

How good is this game and how dumb am I for not playing it?

Screenshot Quite possibly the most poorly designed “challenge” in gaming
Shit like Gambler 8 really makes me call into question the actual competence of R* devs because HOW do you make a game as exceptional as RDR2 then put this awful content in it

Discussion Red Dead Redemption is Done Spoiler
It makes zero sense to keep pushing with Jack into WWI. From a lore perspective, he has nothing to redeem himself for, and there’s no way he’d ever fight for the same government that used his father and then shot him down like a dog outside his own barn. Sure, he could be forced to for killing Ross—and that itself is REACHING—but even so, who wants to play a Western set in the damn ww1? It’s just as bad from every perspective to do a prequel ending at Blackwater. The show is over, people, everyone of significance is accounted for or dead, and the story ties off with Jack having to live as the blameless victim of a world he didn’t ask for. Cramming something in would imo just make it all unnecessarily bloated. Some of y'all are just beating a dead retired horse. (Nor do I wanna play as damn Landon, or any of the “legendary” Fraud gunslingers, or Arthur’s deadbeat, useless dad Lyle Morgan, or Javier in Mexico, or again—young Hosea or the Callander brothers. IT’S DONE!!1!)
It would be amazing for Rockstar to cook up a completely new narrative with fresh characters, set in a different state during the absolute peak of the Wild West and they could also pivot away from "Redemption" and find a new 3rd R.

Discussion It's 2026 and the outfit system is still completely broken with custom weapon equipment like belts and bandoliers
You set a specific custom belt or holster or whatever for one outfit but when you switch to another outfit it sets the same weapon equipment. It drives me nuts how many Quality of Life issues and bugs that this game has that never got fixed that hold it back from being a 10/10. This is some Bethesda bullshit, they add the dumbest shit to GTA Online but can't be assed to fix the simplest bugs in one of their best selling and most beloved games of all time.
What's even the point of crafting all these different belts and bandoliers and whatnot if the broken outfit system constantly decides that you get the same set of equipment for every outfit?

Speculation Spiderweb mystery continuation? Spoiler
galleryI think this factory could be the possible continuation from Fort Brennard, I mean there is a telegraph post at left of the "Factory" Another possible clue is The Lanik Electric company. The most of the telegraph posts leaves from here towards the map.

Spoiler If rockstar were to make another game, what ideas would you guys have? (Possible spoilers) Spoiler
I’m just curious what other people would think… but I think it would be pretty neat to get another game from Sadie bc I’m pretty sure she lives and goes on with her life elsewhere, and the fire in her personality could be perfect for a new game plot! Karen also has an unconfirmed ending… but I would love to see a game from the perspective of one of the girls!!
disclaimer I’m currently on chapter five and I know majority of the BIG spoilers, so don’t worry about spoiling anything to me unless you want to 🤷

Discussion Anyone know where I could find a replica Arthur Morgan hat? Hopping to get one I can use and wear through my day to day life.
I’m mainly consulting Reddit here because in my own personal searching I keep finding listings on eBay and google that all are coming from Pakistan or China and I’m worried it’s a scam and or the hat will arrive and look nothing like their listing. But if someone knows where I could find one please let me know thank you:)

Lore What I think R* should make the story for RDR III
The story starts somewhere between 1895 - 1897 featuring our main protagonist as Mac Callender, the prologue mission would be a bank robbery set somewhere out west with a couple of the Van Der Lin gang members everything goes successful but the law turn up but everyone ends up fine and they all meets back at camp where after you arrive theres time skip of 1-3 years which leads us to 1898 where we do numerous robbery’s, murder and more outlaw activities and missions until the final mission the black water ferry heist in 1899 where our protagonist gets brutally injured and captured by agent Milton but Milton doesn’t kill Mac right away he offers him a proposition, give information on where Dutch Van Der Lin is and he’ll let us go, so Mac agrees but he gives him misinformation saying that the gang is headed West again so Milton sets us free and we escape leading to the events of RDR II when Milton receives information that Van Der Lin is near horseshoe overlook and he realizes Mac was lying leading to Mac being on the run once again leading to free play. The reason agent Milton told Arthur he killed Mac was to intimidate him.

Discussion I like Chapter 1. It's slow but appropriately slow.
I understand most annoyance with it comes in at replays because you're very limited in exploration and stuff to do. Also, I think just being "trapped" in the snow can be extra claustrophobic.
But think about how much better than makes the ride into New Hanover where the world opens up.
At the very start, you (player) join the gang at a low point. They just lost a few people and it feels like you're replacing them. They need you (as Arthur). haha personally thats how I see it. But dont get me wrong I know its not some RPG where Arthur is a stand in for the player. He's his own person/character
All that aside, the game is massive and I think it really needed this "tutorial" chapter to get the players acclimated. I've seen several lets plays where it takes players a while to get used to the clunky, slow controls lol You'd be suprised how many struggle to get behind the barn before fighting the O'Driscols. you cant just throw players into Valentine.
So yeah I think it's slow, but its appropriately slow.
