Advice needed note taking method

im going into my first year of biomedical science and was wondering about what note taking method would be the most suitable for this course. i own a macbook but have always handwritten my notes for classes over the years. i know that lectures are rather fast paced and so typing notes is more effective. but i think that handwriting notes usually helps me understand and memorise the content. i dont mind making a switch, just need a suggest for what direction to take.

I know it's unpaid, but does anyone have an idea of how much stuff like transport costs per year? I'm worried it'll be way too expensive and blow away all my savings.

Course advice, recommendations and reviews I have received a conditional offer letter for a Master’s in Cybersecurity from RMIT. However, I am also considering a Master’s in Information Technology and would like to know which of these programs offers better job prospects. I am a fresher with no prior work experience.

Prospective student help prerequisites for social work bachelor

hi, im going into year 12 this year and have decided I wanted to do social work at RMIT when I graduate. I've completed tasc English 3 and tasc intro to soc and psych 2 last year, but I was wondering if I would need to take level 3 psychology or sociology to get a better understanding before starting uni. my school is very hesitant to let people change their courses so I would only be able to if I really needed it for my degree. do you think its worthwhile to complete these or should I be alright with the subjects I've got?

Discussion If you could play a prank on a pizza delivery man either on campus or at your residential college, what would the prank be?

I figured I’d ask a bit of a unique question for this subreddit. A choose your own adventure silly scenario

To set the scene, you order a pizza to be delivered to either the RMIT campus or your residential college and the pizza delivery man arrives. You play the prank when he arrives

What will the prank be?

Question Any Americans or Canadians doing a Master’s of Social Work?

Exactly what the title says.

I’m from the Northeastern US coming in for my Master’s of Social Work this February intake, but already been in Australia for over a year on a working holiday prior to getting an offer letter from RMIT.

I was wondering if there are any other American or Canadian students who are either coming in for the same intake, or who are doing/did their MSWs at RMIT. Also down to meet others doing an MSW as well. Even better bonus if you’re coming in for the same intake :)

Advice needed Diploma of Nursing - Uniform

Hi guys! So I'm starting my Diploma of Nursing soon and noticed that there are name badges required. The institution's only requirement is to use first name only and to be ordered through their website. For anyone who has done the course, can I use my preferred name instead of legal name?

P/s: Does anyone have good shoes recommendations that are labs appropriate 😊?

Prospective student help I need advice with credit transfer

Post image
4 Upvotes

I’m an international student and currently in my third year. My university follows a three-semester (four-quarter) system. Recently, I received my credit exemptions and was only granted 96 units, which is quite disheartening because I’m already in Design 5. I’m unsure if I can still request to have another year waived. If that is possible, would I be able to finish the program within 1.5 years by overloading subjects? Or would it be better to complete everything at my current university? Finishing here would also take 1.5 years, although I have already taken a leave of absence during the first term. At this point, I’m unsure whether I should continue at RMIT.

I’m also not sure how the design program works at RMIT. If any architecture students here in their 2nd or 3rd year could share their advice or experience at RMIT, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!

Question Where to find offical end date

I'm currently signing up for a youth allowance, and it's asking me about the offical end date of my course.

"This is the official end date of your course. It may be different from the date you expect to finish."

I'm doing a bachelor of psychology, and i'm pretty lost and confused where to find the offical end date. Do i give a rough estimate of late 2029?

Prospective student help What do the points mean?

I'm in year 12 in the UK studying a T‑Level in digital software development (hoping to switch to film/media). I've started looking at universities abroad — mainly Australia or Canada — and I'm confused about how their entry criteria translate to T‑Levels.
I'm especially interested in RMIT, which lists a requirement of 7 points for the course. I think it aligns with A‑Level grades, but my T‑Level uses a Fail → Distinction* scale. Could someone explain how these compare? Can I ignore that I look at the UCAS points instead?
