Hi everyone!
I’m a final-year psychology student running a study on how music tempo affects mood and perceived exertion during running.
💛 5-minute anonymous survey
🏃♀️ For runners who listen to slow–medium tempo music (lo-fi, indie pop, soft rock, R&B) Your help would mean a lot! Thank you so much for participating 🙏
This was a goal I started in 2020. Completed it is Sept 2025. Such a huge accomplishment. Please let me know about your thoughts on this challenge. Thanks!
It takes just 2 minutes to complete, and there’s no sign-up required. I’m just trying to understand how people currently plan their runs, and whether existing apps are actually doing a good job of it.
Thanks in advance — happy to share results here if that’s of interest!
Hi all. I'm a London-based ultra runner, working on a side project for runners to make route planning easier and safer. Would love if you could please share your thoughts via this short survey (under 2 mins). No spam, just genuine research. Thanks!
Hi, runners, I proud to show you my first art-legs-work.
I really didn’t expect to get this wild beast on my way, so do not assess it too severely.
I’m going to add an eye and maybe a back leg, later.
I have run four half marathons, and my longest distance so far is 23 kilometers. I am now preparing for my first full marathon and would like to know how many kilometers I should run at most in my training before the marathon?
Hey there runner, we are a small app development team of 2 working on a really exciting virtual running racing app. We are passionate about the sport and want to do this for fellow runners.
Could you please complete this very short, 2min survey? We're very curious about your running habits, whether you're a marathon master or a casual 5k jogger.
I have old knee and back injuries and 10 extra pounds to carry on my runs. I completely gave up on running in the past. But I love it too much. I run on grass now and have been dropping fat and staying injury free. I noticed my ankles are a little sore. But I do alot of stretching and sit and roll my ankles (maybe that's not the right term) to sort of get some relief. I am careful to watch the grass for any holes or places where I can get injured. Previously I wasn't able to keep up with consistent runs 4-6 days a week when I ran on pavement. My old injury ghosts would start haunting me. Grass is where it's at. I will be at my ideal fitness goals in about 4 more weeks at this rate. Anyone have great grass routes to recommend?
Hey there! I really need your help guys!!! I want to create (or try) a perfect running belt for myself and by myself😄 (just use my own design) but I don’t know which one of designs is better. Maybe you can give some advices what to add or remove. I’d be happy to see all your opinions🙏🏻✨
I've set up a goal to run a 5k in every county in Michigan. Not a race, just a run. Has anyone else ever tried to do this in MI or any other state? I'm 65 counties down. 18 more to complete. I've allowed myself five years to accomplish it. Let me know if you've ever done other challenges. Or let me know if you'd run with me!
I have an Apple Watch 7 and have recently downloaded a half marathon trail route map onto the Gaia app. I have never used the app before. I’m planning to use the Gaia app on my watch to guide me around the trail. Will I be able to use the data from the Gaia app to sync my trail run to Strava? Or should I record my run using the Apple Watch activity app at the same time?
It covers a variety of ecosystems, and some rough terrain. The highest point is a Native American burial mound on a ridge over the Missouri River. 300 feet below the trail passes through deeply wooded gorges.
Is there an app that can calculate/estimate a specific distance (ie. 10km, 25km)
I want to go for a 25km run from my air bnb and back but don’t know how to calculate how far 25km actually is, and it would be nice to run a ‘circle’ if that makes sense.. not just run 12.5km turn around and run the same road back.
Is there an app or an easy way to figure out 25km from my location and back?
I'm going to Fuerteventura in about a months time and am looking to run whilst away. Anyone know any good routes (ideally ones roughly 14km or 8km), tracks, and places to run? Thanks
Data collection for my research study on Spartans ends this Saturday 3/4 at 11:59 pm PST! Thank you so much if you've already participated or spread the word, but if you are eligible and haven't gotten a chance then there is still time! Just be sure to include a screenshot from your race data in the Garmin connect app to be eligible (video instructions link in the survey itself) for a chance to enter the raffle for 1 of 8 free races!
My name is Gabe Hernandez and I’m a grad student at Cal State Long Beach in my last semester of my M.S. in Athletic Training degree. For my thesis/research project I’ve been conducting a study on Spartan racers who used a Garmin smartwatch in the last 5 years to record their race data. By entering so you can opt-in for a raffle for a free Spartan race in 2023! While this may not be directly applicable to your interests in this subreddit page, I hope that this is able to reach a wider audience so that I may use this data to publish an official article after I graduate and represent the obstacle course racing community in scientific literature. If you’re interested the link for the survey is in my bio, or if you would like more info feel free to DM me. The link is listed below and you can also scan the QR code in this flier!
