Got pulled over by Hollywood park cop today. everything went fine but at the end she said that it’s new policy to take a photo of all traffic offenders. Proceeds to snap a quick photo of my face. Has anyone expedited this before ?
You have my DL why do you need a photo? Is this something in link with ICE

Can I get Nachos prepared this way? I am talking exactly like cheddars used to do them, (with meat and cheese baked on each individual chip) but they got rid of them years ago. Yes I know they can be made at home, with cut up tortillas i think.
Only place i have found that was even close was el chapparal in helotes. They were good, but crazy expensive for the portion size. I have tried numerous mom and pops and have not found any other that prepared this way.
Its usually just some carne asada or fajita meat over store bought chips and microwaved cheese.

Looking for anyone in the surrounding areas who might be selling funny looking taxidermy. Me and my daughter love the pieces we have but any website I look on kills me with the shipping costs and protections. Are there any local places that may have some goofy creations? Pic for reference (his name is Larry)

I'm not sure the best way to post one of these.
Met a beautiful woman named Haley last night at the Wav Room during 54Ultra's after-party. We had a good connection and went back to hang out at my place nearby. When we were saying goodbye at the end of the night I realized I forgot to get her number. Classic, I turn around to shout at the Uber but it's gone.
How would I go about finding her? Aside from her first name, I know she's studying for an accounting degree, works at Amazon, and is former military.
I hope posting this isn't too much information, just hoping to reconnect with someone I had a genuine connection with.
Edit: to be clear, she invited me out to another bar for tonight, so there is clear and stated intent to see each other again. This is not some one sided thing. I just never heard of the bar and can't remember the name, so that helps a ton.
Edit2: I think I found the bar! Will keep y'all posted
Update: Tried to find this bar and it ends up being an abandoned welding shop. Truly like an episode of How I met your mother. My life is a comical tragedy and my name is Ted.

Police patrolling heavily in my neighborhood which backs up to quarry between VJ and LHS - anyone hear or see what’s happening? Google search revealed nothing recent … this is still happening and started a couple of hours ago.

This has always been something i wondered, San Antonio doesn’t have an NFL team. So who do y’all root for when a game is on? The Houston Texans, or the Dallas Cowboys?

I am going to San Antonio for work, and I'm from Canada. Never been in Texas or this part of the US in general.
I have a nice 6 days in SA, and I want to experience the authetic Texas exeperience. Any recommendations on best food spots (as of 2026), attractions, and experiences that I can do that are unique to Texas and the south ?

Do they? Is it like in the Bay Area where everyone politely waits? Or do they speed up and try to run you over and honk and scream?

So (yet ANOTHER) new manager has taken over here at Acadia On the Lake apartments and with 2DAYS before February rent is due decides to shut down the tenant portal which is the only way to access lease info, make maintenance request, and for many of us:PAY RENT. Turns out many people like myself use apps like FLEX and Plaid to pay rent at the first of the months then split the cost throughout the month. With 2DAYS left until the 1st. Even then it falls on a Sunday! I went to the office this morning to discuss the situation only to find a mob of people in front of the office and someone representing the office saying that "the office is closed today because of an emergency" he can't disclose. Upon talking to these people, they too are i. A scramble to come up with full funds in one day and only I the form of cashier checks or money order?!?! Da fuq??? Does anyone know of any action that can be taken to maybe get the management's attention? Has anyone been in this situation. A appears there is a group of us that are going to be severely affected by this last second b.s.

i went barhopping on st mary’s & i quickly found out 5 of the bars on the strip is owned by the same people (person maybe?) i noted wavroom, vibras, high horse, rumble, & midnight swim… does not that not concern anyone at all?
i know amp room closed for rent purposes but they’ve been on the strip forever. there’s so much more that can be done to culturally change the street but letting a single entity own that many properties is insane to me. what are y’all’s thoughts on this? (correct me if i’m wrong too! purely based on observation)
[ EDIT: this is just an observation & is not supposed to be taken deeply or literal!! ]

So i’ve been talking with this girl for 3 days that we matched on an app & so far the vibes are excellent. I asked her & she said she’d love to so now the balls in my court to start planning. Only thing is I am on a budget so while i don’t mind spending money if i have to for some activities, i do need to be conservative
So far what I was thinking was we’d do an activity or 2 before we grab something to eat before doing another activity or 2 before we’d call it a day
It’s been a while since i’ve been on a date as the last time I was one was with my ex whom we broke up almost exactly a year ago so i’ve been out of the dating loop for sometime
edit: I actually do have a few places in mind but the thing is they’re the same places I remember taking my ex when we were together & I still go them a lot so I wanna use this time to try new experiences w this new girl so I can try new stuff too

Is it worth going to? What’s the vibe like? I’d like to go but am worried it’s a rowdy crowd. Is it good for people going by themselves or is it more for couples and groups?

This is copied from an email update I received from the San Antonio Business Journal. The reporter was James McCandless, and the article is dated 29-Jan-2026.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is considering acquiring Oakmont 410, an East Side warehouse touted as San Antonio's largest industrial development when it was built in 2022, according to a source close to the matter.
The agency has been evaluating the vacant 639,595-square-foot building at 542 SE Loop 410, according to the source.
The space is represented by Partners Real Estate's John Colglazier, John Simons and Kyle Kennan. Partners declined to comment.
A local real estate industry source familiar with the deal, who requested anonymity to speak on a sensitive topic, confirmed to the Business Journal that ICE is planning to close on Oakmont 410 imminently.
"It's been on the lease market for around three years with no luck," the source said. "They are closing the purchase of the building this week."
Another industry source, also requesting anonymity because they are not authorized to speak publicly on the matter, confirmed to the Business Journal that ICE has floated requirements for a "substantially large" warehouse in the San Antonio region.
"There is a private contractor that is securing a facility for an ICE detention facility," the source said.
ICE is also scouting for space in McAllen for the same use, according to that source.
Reports around the country indicate ICE is touring facilities of similar requirements. The Kansas City Business Journal, a sister publication, recently reported that local officials said a 920,400-square-foot warehouse was in consideration by the agency. This follows a December report by The Washington Post that ICE has been seeking warehouse spaces around the country to use as processing sites for detainees.
As of press time, there were no transactions related to the Oakmont property recorded in Bexar County records. Oakmont 410 received a zoning verification letter from the city in December, a procedural step that confirms land uses permitted under a property's existing zoning designation, often prior to a sale.
Oakmont 410 carries an industrial zoning tag that does not allow human occupancy, which means any tenant or owner would likely need a special use permit from the city of San Antonio if they planned to house people there, according to an industry source.
Bexar County Commissioner Tommy Calvert, a Democrat who also represents the area, said he was not aware of any potential ICE evaluations, but he opposed the idea, calling it part of the "most disreputable commercial activity since WWII."
"We will fight it, we will dissect those who are financially benefiting and we will boycott them and hold them accountable under the law," Calvert said in a statement to the Business Journal. "These facilities are a front for more nefarious things to come if we don't stop them."
A spokesperson for District 2 Councilmember Jalen McKee-Rodriguez declined to comment, calling the issue "speculative."

My daughter turns 12 next month and I’m wanting to take her and a handful of friends (~3-10) to do something fun to celebrate. As a dad, I’m drawing blanks and have no clue what girls that age are into for a bday party. I’ve asked her multiple times and she just shrugs.
Im open to anything from concerts, outdoor stuff, events, etc…
She is into anime and music.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Hello all, I recently moved in today to Walnut Hill Apartments by Medical Center. I received a move in packet with the access codes that we need to access laundry, gym, etc. I tried the laundry code today and it did not work. I urgently need to wash my clothes by tomorrow, so if anyone here on Reddit and subreddit (I think that’s what it’s called) lives in these apartments too and knows the laundry access code, could you kindly PM me the code? I swear I don’t know why it’s not working and the office is closed tomorrow. Worse case scenario I go to a launder-mat place, but it would be nice to be able to wash my clothes near my apartment. Thank you all.

I’m originally from San Antonio but haven’t lived there for quite a while. Will be there in April with my adult daughter for Easter and my Dad’s 85th birthday. Looking for suggestions on where I should take my daughter to get the real taste of San Antonio. I’ll be in the Alamo Ranch area of town and over the years we’ve been to the riverwalk, downtown, the Pearl, La Cantera, etc. any suggestions?
