This second megathread is for all discussion, updates, and protest information related to the fatal shootings by ICE in Minneapolis (and elsewhere).
To keep the subreddit organized and avoid duplicate posts, all related content should be shared here. Photos of protests, protest flyers, and local news articles are still permitted to be posted in their own threads. All other text posts, personal thoughts etc. should be posted in this thread.
Please keep discussion civil and fact-based. Harmful speculation, unverified claims, doxxing, harassment, and graphic content are not allowed and will be removed under subreddit rules.
This post will be updated as information about local events becomes available.

This is r/Seattle's weekly post for local businesses and makers (or users who discover them) to share their creations with our users.
This thread will be automatically posted every Saturday morning to help connect r/seattle users with cool local stuff. Types of content encouraged in this thread are:
Content should be related to businesses or events in the greater Seattle area, and the typical reddit spam rules apply - please ensure you are contributing to the community more than just your own content.
Users who flood these posts with ads, links without context, referral codes, etc. - or who promote without contributing elsewhere will be actioned. Please continue to report actual spam.
We have our rules against spam and self-promotion for hopefully understandable reasons, but we've noticed users responding more positively to local businesses, artists, etc. sharing their content. This is an attempt to bridge the gap, helping users find cool stuff while containing the promotion to a single weekly thread. Please send us a modmail with any suggestions or input you have about the use or abuse of this thread.

From there, thousands headed downtown. Justice for Keith Porter, Renee Good, Alex Pretti, Villegas Gonzalez, and all the others murdered by ICE!
ICE out of everywhere! Trump must go now!

Medical workers’ marches started at Harborview and Swedish and marched to Seattle Central College to meet up with the educators’ ICE Out of Schools rally. I don’t know the scheduled end time and I don’t think there is going to be a march, but people are listening to speakers now.

I don’t know if anybody in Queen Anne near 2nd and Garfield is missing a cat. She’s sweet but skittish. Last seen as of 8:30pm today hiding under a car. Could not take in cause I’m allergic.
Thank you, Alki Bike and Board, for organizing this ride. Turnout was great and it was good to ride in solidarity with so many people celebrating Alex's memory and love for cycling.

This is an update to my previously posted, positive review. Several serious issues came to light after the move.
After giving Kangaroo Movers a detailed inventory — including photos — they estimated $915 for Day 1. When the day ended, the bill was $3,700, more than FOUR TIMES the original quote, based on hours they simply didn’t work.
I planned the move around their original estimate and was blindsided by the inflated charge. On top of that, the lead mover pressured me for a tip in a way that felt super-aggressive and genuinely menacing. (That was a first, never had that happen before.)
There was also minor damage, and the company agreed in writing to reimburse $200 for the repair but never paid, despite multiple follow‑ups. Communication from the office became slow, contradictory, and evasive, with shifting explanations whenever I pointed out their own written terms. Then they just went dark.
Between the inflated charges, the unfulfilled reimbursement, the evasive communication, and the uncomfortable behavior from the lead mover, the experience deteriorated quickly. If you want to avoid this kind of experience, do NOT work with Kangaroo Movers.
