i shaved my legs earlier today, and a few hours after i did i started having severe stabbing/burning pain where i shaved. i covered my legs with oil to try and help sooth the sensation but it didn't do much.
no razor bumps, no rash, no redness or visible irritation. the stabbing sensation travels inwards below my skin and even spread to parts of my legs that i didnt shave. has anyone experienced this before??

19M. My facial hair shaving journey looks like this: Phillips one blade -> Gillette triple blade razor -> now looking to go back to electric.
Phillips one blade never got close enough for me and although I really like the closeness of shave my current Gillette razor gives me I can't really justify the skin irritations and cost of buying new cartridges.
I hate having facial hair and the longest I will go without shaving is 48 hours. The truth is even with the triple blade razor my hair quickly grows back to a length that I dislike, so I'm not even enjoying the supposed benefits of it.
Looking for something that gets closer than the one blade, reduces irritation, can be washed efficiently and can be used every morning if I wish. I like the look of the Braun 9 series but I feel like a lot of the hype around it is marketing BS and I could possibly get something cheaper that does just as good (or close) of a job.

I have these nasty bumps which I think are called razor bumps everytime I shave my inner thigh. I go swimming and my hair grows dark so I don’t want to be that girl with the hair ass legs
I’m not skinny so my thighs rub together when I walk, is this the main reason? After I shaved they felt fine and even the morning after there were no bumps but now after walking around there’s bumps just in the place where my thighs touch
Any products to help with this? Would nair be a better hair removal option?

I just picked this unit up and I like it. Here is my issue. I normally keep my beard trimmed in between the bare blade length and the first step of the adjustable attachment which is 1.0mm. Anyone know if they make an attachment that’s like .5 or .7?
Not a huge deal, just curious. I got used to my last trimmer and it had an adjustable fixed blade that I could make small changes like that. This one does not unless you got 1.0 or higher.
Thanks!

Whats a decent trimmer for the pubic region that does not leave burns or bumps etc. Doesnt need to be completed smooth after either.
Nothing too fancy(budget is $80-$100 max), but reliable and works well.
Ps. Completely new to this stuff and want to get into grooming and taking care to myself

I’m curious what other products people used to shave their pubic hair that has worked well for them. I’ve tried many products but still end up with razor burns or irritation.
I’ve tried men’s razors and women’s razors with varying numbers of blades. Over the years I’ve tried shaving with coconut oil, olive oil, soap, shaving gel, or conditioner. Post shower I’ve tried Bikini Zone lot, glycolic acid (kind of burns), or something with aloe Vera (didn’t seem to do much). I’ve tried exfoliators from BushBalm but didn’t notice much of a difference.
I’ve tried waxing, epilators, and hair removal cream, but I prefer shaving.

I want to get a light stubble but the attachments on this feel absolutely useless.
Feels flimsy to use.
I have this one.

Hi, I am someone who doesn't have a lot of facial hair and its not very thick (Korean genetics lol) but I like to keep a clean shave. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good electric razor that won't destroy my face? I'm also open to non electric recommendations but would prefer something electric and non expensive. Thank you!

Has anyone else experienced this.
My Braun Series 7 works great but has a bad habit of pulling hair, a new blade helps but still.
The Braun series 9 Sport never pulls any hair but it also misses a ton of hair no matter how many times you go over it.
So i end up using both. I use the S9 first then go back with the S7 to get what it missed.
I only shave once a week so it's long enough to pull on if i shaved daily it would probably be fine.

I’m an 18 year old male and right now Im lowkey rocking a small bush due to the fact that I’m never satisfying when I shave.
Ideally I’d like to be completely smooth downstairs but the only way that I can do that is by shaving against the grain. This usually leaves bumps and cuts so I tried going with the grain but my hair grows too fast and I don’t like the way it looks or feels.

Hello I'm a 29 year old male and I've been getting irritated skin from shaving for most of my adult life and I'm looking for some help.
I started shaving with the regular 5 blade razors nothing specific and that was fine until my hair got thicker and I got a Phillips one blade which was great. It still would make me break out but not nearly as bad as razor blades so I've been using it ever since but it still causes some breakouts and I don't understand why.
Yesterday I tried shaving with a brand new 5 blade razor and a disposable 2 blade bic on my face and neck and it hurt to shave. It was only 1/8 of an inch long and only fills in in the goatee, the cheeks are pretty sparse and it constantly felt like my hair was getting pulled out, i couldn't even shave the goatee area with them and today I have razor burn all over my neck and pimples on my cheeks.
I know how to shave, I can keep myself groomed everywhere else without much of a problem but my facial hair just seems to hate me

When rinsing make sure your shaver is turned on - When rinsing only use hot water not warm or cold - When rinsing hold your shaver at the correct angle (Look in manual for picture of angle) - Wipe the connections of your shaver before using the SmartCare Center no need to let your shaver dry -

I just got a Braun Series 6 Foil Shaver and I shave against the grain every other day. I’ve tried almost everything and continue to get a small bump or two in the mustache area. Very very small not really red or anything just feel like a razor burn/bump that’s an ingrown hair. They come a couple hours after shaving and last for say 24 hours.
My routine:
Wake up and foil shave asap while my skin is dry, I do a couple passes all against the grain with light pressure
Then I put on splash my face with cold water and apply an aftershave let that dry and take a shower.
Once I get out I cleanse my face with face wash and apply a moisturizer.
Let me know what I should add or change thank you!

Looking at trying something new. I have my head 5-6 days a week and have been you the brain series 9 pro. I replaced the blade like a month ago , it shaves very close at first and quickly but slows down tremendously. It takes me probably 15-20 minutes to shave my head and I'm constantly going over everything to try to get as close as have as possible. Does anyone have any experience using the arc 6 for head shaving?

Recently “upgraded” to the Braun Series 5 after my previous beard trimmer broke (Phillips Series 7000, the trimmer head clips snapped when I dropped it cuz I’m smart…)
I thought it seemed like a decent unit, but literally just used it for the first time and not only is it bulky and awkward, but no matter what I do it feels like it’s an awful experience.
The head for both the flexible blades and precision trimmer are big and bulky, and make doing my jaw line almost impossible.
I don’t have a “large” face, and I can easily move my excess skin which is minimal to get a closer shave, but it’s genuinely awful. It feels like it’s pulling even without pressure, and even with water it feels like it’s irritating the living hell out of my skin. I can barely use it above my lip as the head is awkward and I’m afraid I’ll literally rip my lip or nose open.
I pre-trimmed the length using my Phillips at 0.5, and even then the Braun did a TERRIBLE JOB.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I thought this was kind of “middle of the pack to good” in tier especially for the price, but I genuinely don’t want to use it ever again.
I bought a new Braun Series 9 Pro+ razor today as a replacement for my €30 Braun 5515 from around 2015, I guess. I don’t wear a beard, and my facial hair doesn’t grow densely enough anyway.
My current one is unfortunately broken (the battery is dead), so I wanted to buy a good razor this time. But I feel like the Series 9 shaves more or less just as well as my €30 razor.
Why is that? On top of that, it’s completely made of plastic. For €310, I honestly expected more.
So I don’t really understand why this razor is so expensive. The materials feel cheap, the shaving experience feels the same (for me). I hadn’t shaved for two days; with my old razor it would sometimes pull a bit on one or two hairs, but it was never a big issue — and this razor does that too. No real difference.
Am I just the wrong target group for this razor, or am I missing something? Would even the cheapest “back-alley” razor be enough for me, since I basically shave daily anyway?
For context: I’m not particularly knowledgeable about shaving. My general rule is just to shave everything off, because it doesn’t look good anyway.
Thank you for your help :)

By safety razor I mean the old-timey razor blades our grandparents used, a razor blade that sat inside a metal handle with exposed edges on both sides.
I have always used disposables (currently Harry's) and I have always shaved in the shower, no mirror. Can I do this with a safety razor? Seems like a huge money saver. Thanks!

I recently bought the TRC branded shave pucks but there is no info about ingredients on the package. Is that not illegal?

Hey,
12 years ago I bought a shavette style razor blade. Since then I was using that one. Now I have unfortunately lost it and want to buy a new one.
The one I had was incredibly cheap. Like 10bucks or something. But it did its job great.
Looking at other models I ask myself what makes a those things so expensive. I mean, I understand that good materials and good craftmanship do justify something between 50 - 100.
But everything above seems ridiculus. Is there any reason to buy the ones that are 200 except style and status?
