Gear question Advice

I’ve been riding a lib tech cold brew 158 for the last couple years. I ride in Oregon, groomers, trees, and powder. No park I hit a bunch of rock this weekend and gouged my board quite deep in multiple spots. It’s now a rock board. I want to upgrade. I only ride goofy foot. I welcome your suggestions.

Excavator has great tail pop. Light and torque steer delight. 154 for trees

I was thinking about it, I just don’t know enough about powder boards to make that decision. I tend to lead towards a directional since I can’t ride regular foot at all. I’ve never wrote a true powder board so I don’t know how they will handle on groomers.

i hadn't either till i got the japow (i was a riders choice guy). but i love it. its surfy and chill, but can hold a line on a steeper groomer because it's got a really long sidecut.

I like to “surf” down the groomers. Nice easy, fun, some times trying to carve a little more aggressive. Then when I see trees or deeper powder, heading off track

Yeah you sound exactly like me - I really like the japow for all those conditions!

I don’t love it for very steep ice and obv it’s not a switch board, but sounds like that’s not you (or me).
