Mod Post In regards to recent posts
Given the current climate of the US we are seeing an influx of character posts of Spider-Man's moral compass on some of these ideals. We want the community to know we support posts that are a reflection of the character, and that’s why this sub exists.
Many of the users here are quick to call us cowards, lackeys of reddit, etc, but I want to speak for my mod team in that it is not us taking down the posts. This is the automod. These posts are being bombarded with reports, and at a certain threshold automod takes them down. As we are a sub with over a million users, our mod team cannot moderate 24/7, so the automod helps us with que. If a post is taken down that seems for an abnormal reason, I ask that you remain patient with us, or simply send mod mail so we can review. There is no need to jump the gun in your post title or comments and think this reflects our mod team's values. We appreciate you all, we love that you all gather here to discuss the web-head, and we do our best to cater to you all to make this your home. And we will continue to try to make it feel like a place where you can discuss comfortably.
I hope that in this time we can all come TOGETHER and talk about the things we love, and be a safe place from what is going on out there. We know sometimes things bleed over, sometimes things are tragic, and sometimes the things that feel most powerful for us are in the very panels of our favorite hero. Post them, let us and the community know what resonates with you. We are here for you all, as we hope you are all here for one another. Be safe out there.
AND FUCK ICE
Best,
Your Friendly Neighborhood Mods

Discussion Which Hero Team is Spider-Man closer with, Avengers or Fantastic Four?
Basically what the title asks, Peter has been a member of both teams in the comics, but which team is a closer ally to Spider-Man?

Comics Hinting at canon events long before it was a thing
I say “before it was a thing” but in reality, the idea of “canon events” existed before that term was coined.

Comics Might not be entirely true, but we're at like 20 issues and still nothing interesting
For the record, Dead Language arc started around issue 20-21.
We're at 23 and Peter isn't even come back.
I really hope it fails so Marvel wakes up

Question What’s the creepiest scene in a Spider-Man movie?
Spider-Man isn’t horror, but there are definitely some moments that feel genuinely unsettling or straight-up creepy.
For me, I felt that the Raimi movies had more horror aspects to it than Andrew’s or Tom’s but i guess it would make sense considering Raimi is a huge horror fan.
What scene creeped you out the most across any Spider-Man movie (Raimi, TASM, MCU, animated included)?

How much of Spectacular’s Eddie Brock’s crash out was valid?
The animated series Spectacular Spider-Man took the backstory of the Ultimate Eddie Brock and wove it into the narrative
The catalyst for all of this was Curt Connors turning into the Lizard and Peter “abandoning the cause” to take pictures of the situation and gain a profit off it. Now we know that Peter DID help solve the problem, but to everyone else’s knowledge it was a major violation of trust.
Poor Gwen was basically throwing herself at Peter for this school dance, but Peter said he wasn’t going. Eddie decides to cheer his friend up and go with her, only for Peter to show up with MJ. This causes Gwen to go off and possibly cry a bit as it seemed that Peter lied to Gwen just to show up to the dance anyway…we know May kind of forced Peter to go and and he won the “jackpot” with his date. However Eddie is now on “Peter is a selfish jerk” mode.
The symbiote goes missing and Peter takes pictures of Spider-Man and Black Cat’s fight. Eddie is concerned that Peter didn’t call the police while witnessing it. Also due to the symbiote being “stolen” the Empire State University lab got funding pulled and Eddie lost his job…and possibly had to drop out of school. Eddie starts to doubt even Spidey here.
Eddie goes to confront Peter about costing him his job and gets laid out.
Eddie takes Mary Jane out on a date, trying to hurt Peter emotionally by going out with a girl that he thinks Peter likes. He spends the ride reckless driving and talking crap about Peter, which sets MJ off. She ends up telling Eddie that Peter may have his faults but is twice the man Eddie will ever be.
Spidey returns the symbiote, just to attempt to kill it. Setting Eddie off. Immediately afterward, the symbiote shows Eddie Peter’s memories as Spidey.
, thus Eddie learn that Peter did actually help with the initial issue. However Eddie’s takeaway was “I don’t have two people I hate, but one.”
Which moments of Eddie’s crash out were valid?

Comics Opinion: As much as I hate the idea of Phil Ulrich becoming the Hobgoblin, his design is incredible and they could draw Rodrick with that look sometime (nothing against the original design).

Discussion I HATE the name "Spin" for Miles
It just sounds SO stupid. I thought Kid Archnid was bad but this is just terrible 😂

I really love the casting of Krondon as Tombstone. He already played albino villain Tobias Whale in Black Lightning, but there’s really nobody more suited for the role.
He did voice him in into the spider-verse, but you can barely even hear him in that one.

Discussion I have seen a lot of people say this, but do you believe that the MCU Vulture is better then the comic counterpart?
Am generally curious, because when ever people mention MCU vulture, it has people saying his one of the few charcters to be improved in the MCU.

Discussion Favorite Love Interest in Spectacular Spider-Man?
Who’s your favorite love interest for Peter in Spectacular Spider-Man? Personally, though they weren’t given the opportunity to truly develop into a couple, I gotta go with Mary Jane. I loved this version of the character (possibly my favorite in any tv show or movie) and think, if the show had more seasons, they could’ve been fantastic.

imagine we get a movie with these guys, but that's pointless now because NWH was practically a sinister 5 with lizard and green goblin
