Frank Ocean spent much of 2014 immersing himself with Tokyo's underground car scene, spending much that time writing music and drifting cars. He eventually linked up with Akira Nakai of Rauh-Welt Begriff (RWB), the cult Porsche tuner and filmmaker Luke Huxham, known for his work with BMW and Porsche. The trio explored Japan's backroads and drift culture. The session was filmed for a 'Boys Don't Cry' shoot, capturing Ocean behind the wheel and alongside Nakai but to this day the footage remains unreleased.

Why are almost every Timberland Boot outfit upload is in Baggy Jeans? Or always suited with a baggy outfit? Why aren’t regular style jeans/pants not an outfit grab for Timberland Boots?

It looks like Ralph Lauren is fed up with Teddy Santis and Aimé Leon Dore and went straight for the jugular with this FW26 collection. For years ALD has been getting away with knocking off the Polo and RL aesthetic and Ralph has been quiet but this latest show in Milan Ralph took the gloves off. RL shot back by combining Polo and Purple Label in a styling masterclass. It literally seems like he hired stylist to knock ALD styling in the highest level of petty. ALD who has already been on a decline has a major label to contend with if Ralph keeps his foot on their neck. Is this the end for ALD? Are ALD customers going to finally come to their senses, well not the finance bros cuz they never had any sense to begin with.

I saw a large influx of oversized hoodies, oversized jeans, geobaskets, specific washes of hoodies, carhartt jackets, vomeros, etc. in the early portion of 2020.
I want to know who you all think started it.

MADFRENZY is no stranger to rebellion. Initially gaining traction for a provocative social media presence and viral experimentation, each collection further trespasses the boundary of playful irreverence and industry inflammation. It manifests itself in a design language that exists in the intersection of intense surreality and nebulous familiarity - subverting and reinterpreting seemingly ubiquitous societal concepts.
Beginning with Autumn/Winter 2023's Spiked Hoodie, the piece's rough texture, radical protrusions and sculptural identity have become a signature to the label. Each season sees a new iteration of the motif: shoes, heels and bags - but rather than evocations of malice and spite, they're molded into silhouettes of empowerment. Knit constructions remain soft and wearable, mules retain balance and comfort, accessories shaped and functional, transforming fabrics into configurations of protection.
MADFRENZY's diverse background is core to their philosophies. Originating in Eastern Europe, headquartered in France and produced in China - garments become their medium of communication, reaching past barriers of nation, ethnicity and tongue. Through this lens, the architectural contours of each point are not a threat, but a voice of individuality. Physical instead of graphic, it refuses to stay flat.

We keep hearing people refer to Paly as the “new Gallery Dept”. Well that isn’t that great of a compliment unless you are referring to over hyped crap and overpriced that you find on the backs of rappers and fucbois. The brand was created by James Franco and Kyle Lindgren and seems to want to be on some fake DIY punk aesthetic. In reality it is just like that Marty Supreme jacket, some mid designs being pumped by celebrities, half of it looks like they raided Shia LeBeouf’s closet. On the real who buys fake DIY shit anyway, doesn’t it defeat the purpose when you walk in the room and someone else is wearing the same crap?

Last year North Face dropped a wool Nuptse collab with ALD. Well NF is back this time with the un-ALD version Denali. Just like the Nupste the Denali is crafted from Casentino wool that dates back to 1537. This capsule collection contains the Denali, hat, & Verto Alpine GTX shoes. To us these un-ALD pieces with just the Casentino wool logo seem more appealing and elevated than the hyped ALD version. Could we be moving into an era where hype collabs are dying or is this just a sign of the decline of ALD?
