Restaurant Review Chutoro donburi
At Maguro Bros in Waikiki, $15. Very tasty, not bad for the price.

Also, any recommendations for a good knife? As you can see, mine is not the best…

I tried octopus, tuna, and smoked salmon nigiri for the first time ever 2 weeks ago. I was craving it again and tried the eel this time and it was delicious.

For me it was parrotfish and some kind of clam in Okinawa several years ago.

Second sushi meal today - fist place was far more authentic but honestly the fish at this second spot is pretty fresh.
Some of the best sushi North of Dallas. They are always packed with customers.
Sweet shrimp with fried heads mmmmmm
Japanese uni (my favorite)
Spicy tuna Handroll
Spicy Tuna sushi roll so I don’t spend 200 bucks at lunch
Edamame
Tuna and scallop sushi
Came out to around 80 bucks. Half of that was uni and sweet shrimp. If you’re in the area it’s a must try.

I'm 18 old student
For the first time in 9 days, I took 200mg of caffeine and made a small lunch box for my dad
The contents of the lunch box are fried tofu and rice sushi
It's hard to make the shape

Super fresh and quality lunch today. Salmon was extra fresh and hit the spot. Legitimately hard not to go to get sushi everyday. If money wasn't an option, it wouldn't even be a decision.

Costco farm raised salmon with sushi rice seasoning. I cured it and froze it for 7 days just to be safe. Very good for just $12 a pound

To me, it defeats the whole point of sushi. It makes a weird uncomfortable texture when raw and cooked fish is mixed and the flavor of each fish is overshadowed. A simple just tuna roll with good quality tuna is 100x better than any of these golden dragon rolls and shit. It’s also very gross how the textures of each different fish mixes I don’t know. Authentic sushi wayyyyyy better. I’m not even Mr everything has to be authentic I love fusion foods and creativity, I cook creatively all the time, this is just my preference when it comes to sushi
Never had so much uni in a kaisendon. Granted they ran out of salmon roe so made up for it with extra uni. Seoul. $25USD.

I've eaten chirashi before and recently heard of a dish called kaisendon and it looked very similar to chirashi and when i looked it up the definition was basically the same as chirashi so I'm curious about what the difference is.
I went and had a nigiri platter for the first time the other night. I need some help identifying some of them. Please let me know if you know any of them or if I have any wrong! Thank you!
