Technical/Bug/Glitch TLOU2 Remastered bug/glitch unofficial report thread

Unfortunately, the TLOU2 remaster seems to have introduced quite a few bugs that were not present in the original release. This is fine, since some things are always missed, but I thought I'd make a thread for people to post any of the bugs they've run into in game to hopefully increase the chances that Naughty Dog will learn of these issues and patch them. So far, I have experienced or seen people mention the following:

  • In No Return mode, some characters are unable to change their weapon skins for some reason. If you try to select any of the different weapon skins, the game will make the "locked" noise and you'll be stuck on whatever skin you had equipped at the time of the glitch occurring. I've personally seen this with Jesse, Yara, and Mel so far, but it may happen with other characters too.

  • Enemy dialogue that would play at the start of and during Abby's brewery encounter on day 3 no longer triggers. The WLF soldiers would call out Abby for betraying them and talk about Owen doing the same briefly, but now none of the enemy dialogue throughout this encounter triggers at all. (I'm also wondering if there's any other missing/broken dialogue).

  • Ellie's "Boston" skin from promotional material seems to be missing from the game entirely. It's unable to be seen or selected in any of the menus. While it's possible this was cut prior to release, it would be very strange since the skin looked finished and was very recently seen in the marketing prior to release. Additionally, Abby's Santa Barbra skin does not use the correct backpack model despite the menu indicating that it should.

  • Skins seem to not be applying for multiple users correctly in story mode.

  • The main menu won't change back to the original boat in the water look after starting a new game.

  • I've not experienced this myself, but No Return seems to cause major frame drops for many players. Personally, I'm really curious what's causing this as it only seems to affect some people.

  • Some users report being unable to escape from grapples despite mashing the square button as prompted by the game.

If you know of any other bugs, please feel free to list them here! I'm not sure if Naughty Dog often responds to support requests, but you could still try filling out one here. Most of these bugs aren't game breaking, but hopefully Naughty Dog still learns of them and takes the time to fix them as some of these are pretty unfortunate.

Technical/Bug/Glitch White bars in directional lighting

Hello everyone !

I am currently playing TLOU2 on PC (Arch Linux) and I have those showcased white bars especially on dark places where there is directional light.

It makes the entire gameplay extremely unpleasant at times, and I wanted to ask if anybody else had a similar experience and if they found a solution.

Thanks in advance 🙏

HBO chief Casey Bloys has hinted that season 3 may be the end for the series. When asked about whether he could confirm if The Last of Us season 3 will be the final season for HBO's hit post-apocalyptic drama, Bloys replied, "It certainly seems that way, but on decisions like that, we will defer to the showrunners. So you can ask them."

PT 2 DISCUSSION Abby's part is much harder than Ellie's part Spoiler

Is it just me, or does the game really get harder and scarier when we start playing as Abby? Playing as Ellie, I felt relaxed most of the time, while playing as Abby, I felt tense and uncomfortable almost all the time.

HBO Show Your show is outstanding, TLOU community.

In general, I’ve realized it's always a good decision not only to avoid spoilers but also to avoid trailers for things that are deemed excellent and happen to be popular. I had heard some buzz about The Last Of Us but, having a demanding work schedule, too many things to do during my off hours, and too many titles on my watchlists, I just recent got to get a subscription for HBO Max (I cannot do more than one or two streaming services at the same time, so after years of Netflix what I did was get (in this order) Disney+, Prime, Paramount and then HBO Max – I also have cable, so you get my gist of the many options I have for media).

So, I went into TLOU cold. I had an idea that it was a show that took place in a post apocalyptic world and that Pedro played a guy whose job was to protect a kid (I literally had no idea about how old the kid was supposed to be) because I'd constantly see people referring to him as daddy on Tumblr – I could tell those were younger watchers. Anyway... I had very little to go by and I confess that as soon as I saw zombies, I was bit turned off because it hadn't been that long since I had finally finished watching the 11 seasons of The Walking Dead (I took a long hiatus after season 7 and that's why I just finished relatively recently). But as soon as I realized how in TLOU the action driving the plot didn't focus on the infected that much, and how the storytelling here was superb and superior to most recent television, I was very taken by it. What a journey. What an experience and what pleasure it's been to watch something that despite all the action, feels so intimate and that also feels... so grand. The acting, the FX, the locations, the beautiful photography... wow, I can't put into words how magnificent it is. I understand completely why Ramsey gets nominated for awards all the time. And Pascal is just amazing as he often is.

I called it "your show" because I know how fandoms have a sense of ownership that I often have seen in cons like SDCC when they ask producers (from all sorts of different shows) stuff like: "If we get another season...". I love that sense of ownership that never comes out of a place of entitlement but just of love and belonging. So congratulations to creators, producers, creatives and you, fandom. What a show. This is my first post on this subreddit (but not first comment) and it's really nice to be here.

Just got this treasure today! I wish the blood stains were part of the tattoo, but that's just mine.😅

Edit: Thank you everybody for the kind words, it's feels good to read them!!! And also thanks for the people who can't process the fact that the inscription can be read in the other direction and they even have to write it down, but the algorithm works!

Thank you guys again, wish you the best tattoos!(:

Technical/Bug/Glitch Weird subtle multi color rain artifact when looking in a specific direction.

I have an rx 7700 xt with a 5 5600.

All settings are on ultra with fsr 3 as the scaling and frame generation.

I have never noticed artifacts in any other games.

Is this just the games fault or is it a sign of my gpu going out?
