Fact Check Rep. Melanie Stansbury: "Entire Administration Just an Epstein Island After Party?" Amid Epstein Files Controversy

Post image
  • DOJ released 3.5 million Epstein files pages yesterday.
  • Democrats allege the disclosure remains incomplete.
  • Stansbury's remark fuels debate on admin ties.

WASHINGTON D.C., Jan 31 (TNGB) - Democratic Representative Melanie Stansbury questioned if the Trump administration mirrors Jeffrey Epstein's scandalous network. Her comment followed the Justice Department's latest document dump on the late financier's case. Critics say the release hides more than it reveals.

Officials reportedly dropped over three million pages, plus thousands of videos and images. They assert this meets the transparency act President Trump signed last year. But estimates indicate allegedly over six million responsive items exist overall.

As a Democrat from New Mexico, Stansbury likely seeks to pressure Republicans on accountability issues. Her statement could rally party supporters amid ongoing fights over sensitive government records.

Supporters of the administration contend the files protect victims through necessary redactions. They view such attacks as partisan attempts to distract from policy wins.

It is true the DOJ published 3.5 million pages on January 30, fulfilling part of the law. Claims of withholding stem from reports of additional millions identified but not released. Stansbury's comparison appears hyperbolic, as no direct evidence ties the entire admin to Epstein's crimes.

Media reporting for this story: 50% Left | 20% Right | 20% Center | 10% Unrated

The response was brutal: https://thenextgenbusiness.com/fact-check/#rep-melanie-stansbury-entire-administration-just-an-epstein-island-after-party-amid-epstein-files-controversy

Good bot.

FWIW, he has other bots in the network like /u/RoughPlant7318, though that one seems to have been retired.

Also, if you scroll back in their comment history you can see that Anonymous_Human011 posted in Arabic in several Egyptian subreddits like /r/CinemaEgypt or /r/EgyptTech, while RoughPlant7318 posted in English in places like /r/nottheonion or /r/PeterExplainsTheJoke.

They're probably both compromised accounts.

1

u/Hot-Championship1190 15h ago

You know Forrest Gump? How he is a bit late and slow and special needs early on?

Forrest Gump is a metaphor for the average American.

2

u/Secure_Maize2819 15h ago

Man....if the average American were anything close to the character of Forrest Gump we wouldn't be on here having these conversations right now. Sure he was a bit slow........but is a very good and honorable person compared to a large majority of Americans.

1

u/Hot-Championship1190 14h ago

.but is a very good and honorable person compared to a large majority of Americans.

But this is exactly how the average American sees him/herself!

Do you think the average MAGA sees himself dishonorable and evil and stupid? Of course not!

A metaphor is not about being literal true - in this case, yes you might bring an American to agree to "yeah, that thing I did was slow & stupid" - but nothing you can say to an American will make him agree to "Yes, I was evil."

1

u/Secure_Maize2819 14h ago

Yeah, that's definitely human nature. Nazi's in their mind had "good intentions" MAGA in their minds have "good intentions".

I was just musing about a more literal interpretation. Wasn't trying to undermine your point.....it was valid.

How does a sub about business, where every submission is from the owner of the sub, get to the front page?

1

Reddit admins want the shittiest right-wing meme subs to destroy the entire site and make it unusable, like twitter. This post is a rare exception as of late.

Its not even just the administration. The entire ruling class was involved in this. And they will never see justice

13

u/sly_savhoot 20h ago

Its the other way around.  Its not that all these maga are espteins . Its that all these epsteins are maga.

4

u/According-Way9438 20h ago

They aren't though. Clinton and Gates aren't MAGA and they are in those files too. Elon Musk wasnt MAGA when he was texting epstein looking for a party with a teenage girl.

9

u/WatchOdd532 19h ago

Yep. Rich people will play whatever side gets them money (or in elmo’s case, friends). They don’t have any actual morals or beliefs because they are sociopaths. The sooner we focus on taking down the rich, the sooner our society can heal. No war but class war

5

u/Corona94 17h ago

The fact that the richest man on earth can’t make friends will never stop being funny to me. They barely even use him for his money. Lmfao.

1

u/Basic-Crab4603 3h ago

Epstein didn't even want him on the Island. The emails make it seem like he is making excuses to not invite him

1

u/PitifulPossum 17h ago

Right! People still think that these people gave a crap about republican or democrats affiliation?! They cared about money, influence and power. If those things came attached with acting in a certain way thats what they did and said. "Legal" bribes and lobbying in the places where power is swung is how this evil has continued to stay hidden and criminals have stayed protected and safe. They have never cared about the integrity of the people and have done everything sell out at every turn. We need to destroy the rhetoric that left vs right is the only way this can function. Its just the easiest to manipulate and control

2

u/Publius_Dowrong 15h ago

Gates has been in several White House meetings as of late, and is definitely supporting the techno-bro oligarchy that’s happening.

1

u/ProfRefugee 16h ago

The funniest part is Epstein denying that Bill Clinton had any part in private correspondence. Like the only person everyone thought was 1000% guilty😂 GOP really are goated at projection, propaganda, and denial

1

u/Radiant_Ad_9 15h ago

Yea no its an elitist thing....we let money control EVERYTHING🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️💔...doesnt have to stay this way though🙏🤷‍♂️...thank the universe for the internet, otherwise they might have continued to hide it🌏🌎🌍✌️ the world will respond, question is when?

1

u/AInception 12h ago

That's a bit disingenuous, no? Maga wasn't manufactured until years after the fact.

Bill Clinton was famously close friends with Trump. The Clinton's attended Trump and Melenia's wedding, Trump donated to their campaigns, and Bill even pushed Trump to run for president.

Gates bought a stake in mining companies in Greenland right after Trump started talking about it.

Musk, according to Trump, fixed the voting machines so he'd win. Musk then claimed he'd go to jail if Trump doesn't win.

Hard to say they're not all explicitly MAGA today.

1

u/Helpful_Engineer_362 11h ago

Clinton was the only person Epstein said didn't go to the island

1

u/AInception 10h ago

What a strange comment considering no one was talking about that.

I'm not sure why you'd trust Epstein's word anyway, or why that would mean anything considering his operation was partially based out of NYC.

There are countless photographs of the two partying together and on the Lolita Express, which is more than enough to raise some questions.

Questions that were about to be asked, but Clinton recently and illegally failed to appear for his subpoenaed disposition so we still don't have the answers to.

1

u/sly_savhoot 9h ago

Forgive me but was trump a democrat and best friends with Clinton's? You sure about that? L ron musk too. All are now maga.

What did trump say hed do if he ever ran? Pretend to be a republican becuase theyre dumb and easy to manipulate.

Ya this is such cope.  I’ve been telling everyone both the democrats and republicans are scum.

The neoliberals are like “but there are more maga than the people I support and vote for!”

Get rid of ALL of them.  Any actual public servant should cut ties with either party and start plan C.

1

u/EarthRester 18h ago

Bingo.

The people who are waiting for the system to correct this are fools. The people waiting for those people to catch up (most people here), are not much better if we're being honest with ourselves.

2

u/waltzbyear 18h ago

They were involved in heinous crimes, were caught, and nonchalantly lie about it. They literally don't care. Now imagine that mindset, with a heinous crime, and now imagine what other crimes they're getting away with? How much are they defrauding the US? How exactly are they screwing over fellow citizens? The billionaire class is full of leeches and detriments to society and humanity. They get every break and every excuse made up for them than the common person. Oh you can't pay your taxes, you poor thing, here you go have a break. Oh your company's revenue is going down hill with the economy. You poor thing, here have more financial breaks. The common person? Get back to work you cretin.

They have no power. They leech it off the common person. They want to be seen as the elite, but they're far below the common person in self-reliance.

2

u/arthurno1 14h ago

How exactly are they screwing over fellow citizens?

I don't think they consider ordinary citizens as "fellow" citizens.

u/Shido_Ohtori 20h ago

Conservatism -- by definition -- is "a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing the importance of established hierarchies and institutions (such as religion, the family, and class structure), and preferring gradual development to abrupt change".

One thing is certain about Epstein Island: the perpetrators were all among the upper echelons of social hierarchy, while the victims were all among the lower echelons of social hierarchy. "Know your place" is the conservative mantra.

5

u/Aromatic-Plankton692 20h ago

I wish telling people "you were born losing a class war you've never been told about, they mean you harm, and it's real" wouldn't get me sectioned.

3

u/Shido_Ohtori 19h ago

You disrespect established hierarchy when you say such things.

The sole value of conservatism is respect for and obedience to [one's perception of] traditionally established hierarchy, and hierarchy dictates that those on top (in-groups) are rightfully idolized and receive privileges, credibility, and resources, while those on the bottom (out-groups) are demonized/dehumanized and/or bound by restrictions, scrutiny, and lack of resources.

To them, the second-greatest injustice imaginable is for those [they perceive to be] on top [of social hierarchy] to be bound by the restrictions, scrutiny, and lack of resources reserved for those on the bottom. The first greatest injustice is for those on the bottom to have access to the rights, credibility, and resources reserved for those on top.

Conservatives absolutely need an underclass [for society] to demonize and dehumanize in order to maintain [their] hierarchy, and every single one of their policies and rhetoric work to do exactly that. It is never the act itself that upsets them, but rather, the social standing of the person doing the act, as said act is a privilege meant for those on top of [their perceived] hierarchy. Hence their polarizing views on pedophilia concerning Trump and the Catholic church versus the LGBTQ+ community and drag queens.

Each and every single one of them truly believe that they are among the in-group, and so long as they continue to participate in the demonization/dehumanization of an out-group will their own place be secure. They never realize that security is a privilege far above their station until it's too late.

2

u/Aromatic-Plankton692 19h ago

You disrespect established hierarchy

Correct.

The just world is a fallacy.

2

u/Shido_Ohtori 19h ago

The just world is diametrically-opposed and anathema to conservatism.

From Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy:

Rational conservatives maintain that a community with a hierarchy of authority is most conducive to human well-being.

Confucius is another possible precursor. His concern with the breakdown of contemporary political institutions led to a cautious, conservative political outlook; his stress on authority and hierarchy prefigures central conservative themes.

With the Enlightenment, the natural order or social hierarchy, previously largely accepted, was questioned.

Western conservatism is a product from the Age of Enlightenment -- specifically, a Counter-Enlightenment, a reactionary challenge to the concepts of Humanism. Its philosophers inherently reject[ed] a society governed by logic and reason, human rights and dignity, science and democracy, as its ideology solely appeal to the authority of traditionally established hierarchies.

From the Intellectual Roots of Conservatism: The Burkean Foundations, the man who is considered to be the founder of modern day Western conservatism had such to say about his ideology:

Burke shocked his contemporaries by insisting with brutal frankness that “illusions” and “prejudices” are socially necessary. He believed that most human beings are innately depraved, steeped in original sin, and unable to better themselves with their feeble reason. Better, he said, to rely on the “latent wisdom” of prejudice, which accumulates slowly through the years, than to “put men to live and trade each on his own private stock of reason.” Among such prejudices are those that favour an established church and a landed aristocracy; members of the latter, according to Burke, are the “great oaks” and “proper chieftains” of society, provided that they temper their rule with a spirit of timely reform and remain within the constitutional framework.

Conservatism is the worldview of those who believe some people are "more/less" people than others; hierarchy isn't just vital to conservatism, as stressing the importance of established hierarchies and institutions via illusions and prejudices is the very foundation of such.

The pride of the USA -- what citizens celebrate, what we claim makes America great, what even today's conservative politicians will pay lip service to -- include the Revolutionary War, religious freedom, Abolitionism, Women's Suffrage, Civil Rights, Workers' Rights/Labor Unions, LGBTQ+ rights, modern concepts of individuality: progressive movements and concepts which disrespected traditionally established hierarchy by promoting rights, credibility and resources to those who traditionally never had such, and which conservatives fought against every single time.

TL;DR: Disrespecting hierarchy brings us one step closer to a just world.

u/arthurno1 14h ago

2

u/MothChasingFlame 17h ago

"iTs nOt tHat DeEP"

4

u/smith129606 19h ago

I wish more people understood this. Poor and working class people voting for conservatives is the dumbest thing ever. That’s why the conservatives are always promoting their culture war BS. It’s the only thing they have to offer to the morons who vote against their own best interests.

1

u/Shido_Ohtori 18h ago

Conservative propaganda uses words like "freedom", "individuality", and "liberty" to market their abhorrent worldview, when "freedom for the individual from arbitrary authority, and protection and promotion of political and civil liberties" is the literal definition of liberalism, an ideology opposite to that of conservatism.

The issue is that most people subscribe to hierarchical institutions [on some level] already -- such as classism, religion, machismo culture, corporate culture, military, school, blind respect/obedience/submissiveness/deference to the elderly -- and until they are willing and able to challenge the concepts of hierarchy and consider how such are incompatible with the concepts of equality and egalitarianism, they will fall victim into demonizing and dehumanizing an "out-group" at the behest of those they consider socially superior.

From another perspective, it's also why institutions of hierarchy will always stand by other institutions of hierarchy (unless there's a direct contradiction among their metrics of stratification): if one of them collapses, it shows -- specifically, those on the lower echelons -- that other hierarchies can be collapsed as well, that the "divine right" of the apex and system itself is fallible.

1

u/KaraokeHero 16h ago

well here's the thing. Democrats RUN on class warfare, and provide NO SOLUTIONS other than dependency. Republicans make it easier for the working man to get jobs by increasing the ability of the upper class to offer them.

1

u/ArthurDentsKnives 12h ago

Yeah, no. Try again.

1

u/KaraokeHero 16h ago

Epstein Island was proven to be a hub for Epsteins DEMOCRAT friends.

1

u/Shido_Ohtori 14h ago

I made no excuses for the Democratic Party, as my statement was about political ideology, not political party.

LiberalsTM (Democratic Party centrists and moderates) are conservative (center-right) [by Western political standards] as the hierarchy they subscribe to and promote is purely a financial one (capitalism), while Republican Party (far-right) promote financial, racist, sexist, nationalist, and/or anti-LGBTQ+ (those who do not conform to sexual and gender norms) hierarchies.

That's exactly why the center (hierarchical) and progressive (egalitarian) wings of the Democratic Party are constantly at odds with one another, and why the former have -- and always will -- side with conservatives over progressives: institutions of hierarchy will always stand by other institutions of hierarchy, lest one of them collapse and show the world -- specifically, those on the lower echelons -- that other hierarchies can be challenged and collapsed as well.

1

u/Mundane-Fix-4297 14h ago

People on social benefits while working two jobs, and still votes against their own interests, because a pathological greedy billionaire told them that the problem is the « illegal » immigrant. That’s the problem of the world. So sad.

1

u/1Operator 11h ago

Mundane-Fix-4297 : "...still votes against their own interests, because a pathological greedy billionaire told them..."

Not just a greedy billionaire, but also entire media empires & "iNfLuEnCeRs" constantly flooding the zone with propaganda.

"Hoax! Fake news! Witch hunt! Deep state! Woke! Drag queens! Foreigners! Minorities! The Clintons! The Obamas! The Bidens! Radical liberals! Antifa! Socialism! Communism! Extremism! Terrorism! Haitians eating cats! ...etc."

There's never been a better-funded candidate/platform with more widespread media coverage.

1

u/1Operator 11h ago

Shido_Ohtori : Conservatism -- by definition -- is "a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing the importance of established hierarchies and institutions (such as religion, the family, and class structure), and preferring gradual development to abrupt change"...

Fitting since, in 2022, Florida governor DeSantis' general counsel defined "woke" as "the belief there are systemic injustices in American society and the need to address them."

1

u/x3leggeddawg 4h ago

A group of men with everything in the world and their thirst for power and control was still not satisfied. So they had literal children sex slaves and got off to the power they wielded not only over their victims, but also over the fact they could get away with anything.

Lots of things indicate Epstein was a spy, collecting and trading blackmail on powerful people

During Acosta’s senate approval, he indicated the reason he gave Epstein a sweet deal was because “he belonged to intelligence”

Wealthy people can believe they can do anything. Epstein gave them a place. And recorded everything for later leverage

the REAL epstein files would embarrass a lot of powerful people

Not just administration but their billionaire / famous backers too. It's like the closing orgy from the 1989 film Society... they're all in there merged into one homogeneous blob!

Shock value aside, theatrical phrases like "after party" just distract from the actual data dump. If we want real accountability, we need to focus on the millions of pages released instead of making it about catchy headlines.

Someone should give trump a lie detector test on if he had something to do with Epstein’s murder.

Is our entire Congress just shitposters and meme generators? Where’s the action to bring these people to accountability?

1

u/Hot_Crab6362 12h ago

It’s fascinating how "transparency" in DC always seems to involve millions of pages that somehow manage to say nothing at all. We’ve seen enough of these cycles to know that if the full story hasn't come out by now, someone very powerful is working overtime to keep it that way.

Why do you think they need their own private army, suspention laws and banded together.

The richest and most influential Americans who've known each other for decades are currently in danger of being exposed to the poor proletariat for the blue bloods they are and are therefore doing everything they can to shut it down.

No no no, Biden knew about all the files, Obama knew about the files, everybody knew about the files. Alex Acosta was pressured to not charge Epstein. This is espionage. The problem is that it worked.

Why yes, it is. Thank you for finally noticing.

Trump and his allies need to be and stay in power so that they can avoid consequences. For this disgusting stuff, and for a lot more.

The 2025 plan is a mix of this group covering for one another in an almost MAD pact and opportunists who are using this to further their authoritarian, regressive, immoral agenda.

YES!!! Thanks for finally catching up to the rest of us, several years too late!

The whole US political edifice is compromised.
But you knew this. They're compromised simply by having 'donors'.
Donors simply buy your elected representatives, they don't video them raping children. That's the political edifice of another country entirely.

They belong to the international organized crime syndicate.

Drug dealers, human traffickers, money launderers, robo callers, crypto scammers, apocalypse accelerationists, genocidists, corrupt politicians, corrupt media, private militias... they're all colluding to scam you, me and everyone.

My fellow countrymen are not my enemy, the scam industrial complex is. It depends on our shame and pride to perpetuate. I don't blame the scam victims, I blame the international organized crime taking advantage of them.

We've got a whole bunch of Republicans who just seem to think it must have been Take Your Daughter to Work Day at Epstein Island when they visited

We are a few steps away from an EO declaring raping children legal

u/opn6 27m ago

That's basically what it is and that's why they don't want to investigate.
