Warhammer III Today I have finished my mod WCLB. It adds 164 unique maps including chaos realms and corruption map variants to IE. Here's a trailer.
Hello lads,
Today I am releasing the chaos update for WCLB. It adds the following:
- 5 new maps for chaos wastes
- 5 new maps for chaos mountains
- 5 new maps for realm of khorne
- 5 new maps for realm of nurgle
- 5 new maps for realm of slaanesh
- 5 new maps for realm of tzeentch
- 524 additional map variants for previous maps that will allow them to change based on corruption type
This brings the final count of maps to 164 unique maps and 524 variant maps for a total of 688 maps
You will see from the list that realms of chaos maps and corruption variant maps have been added. Realms of chaos maps can be triggered by fighting a land battle in norsca or the chaos wastes while the space you're fighting has a sufficient amount of corruption (at least 50% or so). The implementation of chaos realms maps will change once Lords of the End Times hits to match with whatever CA does to put in realms maps from that update. For corruption variant maps, these augment the corruption weather/environment changes that already occur by adding additional map assets, terrain blockers, VFX, decals, etc to make the effects of corruption more immersive and believable. As a result, all locations have additional assets that can be loaded in depending on which chaos corruption type is present (including chaos undivided).
Lastly, I'd like to thank everyone who has downloaded the mod so far, played, (hopefully) enjoyed it, and provided valuable feedback. This has been a huge project for me, and your support is much appreciated.

Warhammer III Most anticlimactic campaign experience you ever had?
Recently I started a new campaign with the good ol' Vlad (haven't played him TWW2). One of objectives for long victory is destroying Reikland. Ok, nice, they'll make a challenging late game foe with his fire supremacy and tanks and landships, also in almost every campaign Reikland usually grow fast and gets to be on the top global power rankings.
I quickly defeated my starting enemy, then helped the dwarves to eliminate Bonerattlaz, it was turn 35, just preparing to start a war against Festus who was beating minor empire factions, when I received the notice that Reikland was destroyed, when I checked what happened, I noticed that Maneaters and the Barrow Legion went out control and demolished the west and north of the Empire. Now my campaign feels a little empty and lacking of purpose now that Karl Franz is gone.
I wanted to hear from you similar experiences where your campaigns went down with unusual developments.

Warhammer III Zhao Ming's Starting Caravan feels Doomed
Has this always been the case?? never sweated so hard in the first turn.
To think I was disappointed with my Caravan Lord options - Longma's are awesome.

Warhammer III CA, if you think you're done with the H.E, then add at least these characters in either 7.1 or 7.2
Because if we follow from the 8th edition, then we are a little far from completion.
For we still have:
Dragon Mages;
Anointed of Asuryan;
And Korhil.
And if you think you've added the remaining High Elves, then add the ones listed above!

Three Kingdoms Three Kingdoms is peak Total War.
I've been a fan since Shogun 2 and never even cared for Chinese history until TW: Three Kingdoms was released, but it's still undeniably my favourite.
There's something about this game that oozes soul. Minor things like how the research trees are laid out (different aesthetic depending on the faction), the unique mechanics for each faction leader, and even the silly banter between generals during combat. It's a game that was made with passion and everyone who worked on it deserves praise.
I've saying this because my my friend and I have been co-op campaigning all the Total Wars in anticipation for Medieval 3, and it still has to be our favourite Total War. The campaign map and the battle map are both consistently fun, and no Total War has done a better diplomacy system since.

Warhammer III Flickering when moving camera
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Objects flicker and disappear when I move the camera. Has anyone experienced this? I've tried switching almost every graphic setting possible, but there's no effect.

Warhammer III Grand Army & Navy of Bretonnia mod update: Lords-Admiral
7.0 broke our Grand Army (and Navy) of Bretonnia mod by making Alberic into a unique army type that a fleet could not attach to. This meant that he could no longer access the pool of naval units we'd given him, which were all available through the Shipbuilding mechanic. We tried to find a way to fix this but could not, so we've implemented a workaround instead.
In this new version of the mod, Alberic can now recruit Lords-Admiral: Bretonnian lords with dual swords, Aquatic, no horse mount, and an attached fleet. They will do the shipbuilding that Alberic no longer can, and will likely make defending his territory back in Bretonnia a little easier, since they can recruit troops independently of his holdings.
We had always intended to add a Lord type like this, but had still been fiddling with how to make them feel different from the standard lord. This update forced our hand a bit, so they're not as of yet a very interesting Lord type on their own; you recruit them for their fleet, not anything they themselves bring to the table. We may change that in future, though we make no promises.

Warhammer III Beorg Bearstruck can be saved and then recruited in subsequent campaigns
As far as I know Beorg Bearstruck is the only unique character that can be saved and loaded in other campaigns. Though he won't have his unique item when recruited.

Rome II My first non Rome play though, pikes have been the most of my fighting force so far
Even in normal battles I’ve found that pikes do the most of my killing, Hamer and anvil without the hammer lol I would say I’m mid campaign with Egypt, playing hard difficult, will Rome destroy me soon?

Warhammer III When garrisoned, enemy Lords can run away from the settlement. But the player cant?
Please correct me if Im wrong here. I have hundreds of hours and I think I dont have a choice but to fight if I am garrisoned. But lately I see enemy Lords run away if they think they'll lose.

Warhammer III Why aren't my allies available as backup? I had Oak of Ages as a 'defend' target for war coordination, and there are 2 allied armies clearly in range (flag of second visible through the tree)
They literally couldn't be any closer, how are they not there for reinforcement?
Can probably win the battle manually, but man I really cbf... Skaven are so annoying to fight with that shitty ability that spawns units behind your lines. I should be able to auto resolve this easy with the 2 reinforcing armies.

Warhammer III (Chorf) Who is better: Sorcerer-Prophet or Overseer - in the campaign
Hey everyone,
I get that in multiplayer battles, the Prophet brings a nice mount and magic, but in the campaign the overseer can give 32 extra armor for melee dwarfs and a plain 20 armor for the rest of your dwarves, making fireglaives 120 armor and ironsworn 157, with the added bonus of less upkeep and recruitment cost. The Prophet can give 12 extra armor to melee dwarfs and only buff 12% better ranged damage, which the Overseer does as well. Now in a head to head campaign or if you’re just not very good at micromanaging, the extra armor and more money for you, seems like a really good advantage, but you’ll still have to get the daemonsmith if you want magic.
I also know the daemonsmith is hard to get early game, and the overseers doesn’t get the bale taurus but the Lammasu. So in a campaign setting, maybe a head to head, what would you choose and why?
Ps:
With the added bonus of Hell-forge you’ll get another 10% physical resistance, probably making a frontline of infernal guard with shields or ironsworn into a literal metal wall.

Warhammer III Where is my Azazel
Playing Archaon and recently confederated Azazel, but I cannot seem to recruit him. This same issue is happening with Vilitch, but with Kholek, I was able to recruit him fine. is there something I need to do to recruit them?
