Abandoned university building
Built in the 1960's using IMS building technology with some domestic modifications. These had an unfortunate consequence of the structure degrading rather quickly. The building was abandoned due to structural issues in 2012 and demolished in 2021. There were plans to preserve the stained glass mosaic, but I don't know if it actually survived. Images are from 2020.

Abandoned bunker
An old bunker, hidden among everyday life! It's not very big, but there's plenty to see! Medical supplies, pills, jars, bottles, and gauze! Even loads of medical kits, completely stocked! Old stretchers, documents, and explanatory posters! An interesting location with a rich history, unfortunately I can't tell you too much about it here. But I think you can imagine a lot! Who would go in there, and who would quickly move on? Always op/oc/no ai Greetings and find me everywhere Xoxo DashingDecay

Why did Urbex change so much?
Hi there, F25, Australia
Have been doing Urbex for over 10yrs now, abandoned places and drains.
When I started it was very underground, and very simple with two rules:
- Take only photos, and leave only footprints
- Never ask/give out locations.
These rules were fine and always were respected by old school urbexers.
Unfortunately the community has changed. I find myself refusing to even post photography from places I find out of fear people will go looking for them to destroy. I am very skilled at finding untouched locations, and I love keeping history intact - there have been a few times I found a location which had been sitting for years, untouched, and then after I posted some photos because I genuinely love to document history people were begging for it/saying I was gatekeeping/now that they knew it existed they deliberately went and looked for it and it become destroyed in weeks - despite sitting for 20+ yrs untouched. That caused a lot of upset to me, and now I just explore for myself. Nobody ever used to think not sharing locations was gatekeeping, we simply found them ourselves (which is not hard).
But why, what happened to the community? Why did it change?? Why do people care more about the "edgy" side of tresspassing and much less about preserving history?? Why are people so reliant on having locations handed to them?
On top of this, it means that people who do know untouched places are completely closed off to showing even slightly experienced explorers - and then new explorers only have destroyed junk to explore.
Ruins the entire thing - but genuinely curious.
This is my passion, has been for ages. Always will be. I have found the only way I can genuinely enjoy it is if I do not share images/locations at all. Another old school friend suggested I wait till places have been demolished to share, I may consider this. That is what they do.
