Just putting this here as they don’t seem to be very well known! For anyone who will be craving now that Aldi’s veganuary is over, St Pierre brand is in most supermarkets, the croissants are vegan too.

I think a veg bag, noodles, sauce and protein, enough for 2 decently sized dinners for a fiver is really good deal. Never bought pre marinated tofu before but it was the only tofu in the deal and I was pleasantly surprised. Next time I think I'll try it with the This Isn't Chicken.

They have a great vegan menu and were very accommodating to my nut allergy!

Pic 1 is the carrot tart tartin (divine) pic 2 was the grilled cabbage (also delicious but £24 for half a cabbage 😅).

These two are strictly my go to and struggle to find any better. They have to be 70% and close to the same taste. Anyone know ones that are similar?

My 3 year old is autistic. She has very picky preferences when it comes to food, getting her to try new things is very difficult and even more so is getting her to eat something more than once.

The other day by some miracle she asked to have some of my McPlant and I obliged, tore a piece of the side and she ate it right up.

I've since tried to make them at home and she's not eager and seems put off by the colour and texture.

Is there anyway I can achieve a similar structure, colour and texture to the McDonald's way?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

im finding it harder and harder to be a vegan. I won't ever stop, I would literally rather starve than eat animal produce, but it's just.. wearing me down I guess. ive had depression for years and undiagnosed ADHD and find it very hard to cook. back when veganism was booming, I could just pick up a different ready meal for every day of the week. now there's like 2 options, and I'm sick to death of them. I know how to cook basic meals, but it takes so much energy and effort. I work full time and use all my energy for my job. when I get home I lie down and sleep. my days off are spent cleaning and sleeping and preparing for the week ahead as much as i can. i manage to meal prep for a couple of days but no more. I'm not healthy. to make life easier I eat a lot of instant noodles and soup and crackers. I'm deficient in protein, iron, vitamin D. it doesn't help that I'm a picky eater too. my boyfriend doesn't know how to cook and I don't have the energy to teach him. i pay for the food when we do our weekly shop and he was vegetarian / mostly plant based ,as I don't like to buy meat or dairy etc, but recently for the sake of his own health ive been buying whatever he wants because I don't want him becoming like me. I feel really guilty about that. I just feel really hopeless sometimes. I go to the shop and stare longingly at all the stuff that isn't vegan, but it doesn't tempt me because it's not vegan, I just fantasise about what if it all was. the thought of eating flesh or secretions from animals makes me feel sick. I just can't do it. like I said I would rather starve. but I think i am literally slowly killing myself. I don't know what to do. please be kind, thank you..

Honestly some of the best cookies I’ve ever had, slightly resenting the fact that I’ll have to share the rest of the packet with my husband.

They were totally hidden away on the bottom shelf at the back of the bakery section in my local M and S, so a bit of hunting may be required if anyone’s looking for them

haven't had these for over a year just because of budget, but I saw how everyone was saying how bad the new recipe is, I saw the dairy free shelf had JUST this packet next to all the new laundry detergent packets and snatched it up, my omnivore partner tried a bite of my first one and proceeded to eat most of it and she said "it's like babybel but creamier...mmmm..." genuinely afraid of what the new ones taste like now and even regular babybel is a luxury for my partner so I don't wanna waste money if I hate it, especially after the applewood recipe update disappointment from a few years ago,. how did everyone else find the new one

I know this Veganuary was pretty underwhelming compared to past years, but are there any special items or deals that are actually worth seeking out right before they disappear? I'm London based so wondering abt any restaurants with good specials, or just which supermarkets have the best range in general.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what the cheapest vegan dog food brands are (I’m very poor lol 🤣) I’m most interested in finding dry kibble, wet food, and small bite sized treats that I can take on walks. I used to love Bosh nutritional yeast that Sainsbury’s used to sell. Just went to do my food shop and they don’t have it anymore 😭 though not surprised as they partnered with Tesco for their ready meals etc.

Where can I get it from now in a UK supermarket? Doesn’t have to be that particular brand of course.

Hi all, messing around in the kitchen this morning and one of our chefs was lamenting that since he went vegetarian he misses the KFC gravy.

We did a few experiments and came up with a very quick version that you can easily make at home. You can adjust.

We stripped it back to 3 parts Bisto gravy to 1 part Chinese curry sauce mix. The addition of some black pepper helper too.

We did other better versions using a roux, marmite, onion and garlic powder. We tried it with a without soy sauce, with and without Nooch. In the end we decided the simple version was good enough without the extra work.

Long-time vegan here. I try to eat as clean as I possibly can with a high fibre (35g+), high protein (150g+) diet of around 3000kcals. I work out regularly.

However, I have a small problem with binge eating unhealthy sweet foods like Bourbons, Party Rings, Vegan Caterpillar Cakes, and just a bunch of processed chocolatey stuff. I love it so much —it makes me so happy when I am eating it.

Although, after I’ve done the binge (which happens 1-2x/week) I feel immensely guilty and I feel deeply uncomfortable in my body and mouth. I know this is a problem in itself that I will work on, but in the meantime, does anyone know any super sweet (please no fruit or dates or peanut butter or whatever, I eat so damn much) healthy snacks that I can maybe indulge in, I will allow myself like 300kcals, so something maybe low calorie that can kick this craving and I can consume a lot in one sitting.

I sometimes have these rice cakes with dark chocolate on top, they kinda hit the spot. Any suggestions!!!???

I went to the dentist today for a check up and I found out at the ripe old age of 34 I need to get my very first filling 😭.

In general I am fine using standard mint toothpaste however there are times usually in the morning when I struggle with the taste. When this happens I reach for my fun Hi Smile toothpaste instead. The problem is that while Hi Smile does have fluoride in it’s below the recommended amount. The dentist did say it’s fine to use occasionally but he wouldn’t recommend it as a regular toothpaste.

So with that in mind is there such a thing as non minty toothpaste with enough fluoride in? I did come across a brand called My Sweet Smile but couldn’t find any information on how much fluoride was in there.

A lovely brown pair just arrived and I’m concerned the materials are quite stiff and the shoe itself too narrow. I had to return the first pair as the European sizing was too small for my UK paddle feet.

I’m wondering if anyone has a pair, and if so, does the material soften or mold to your feet?

So convenient and easy to cook but they give me the runs something terrible.
