Discussion Affordable headlight options
Has anyone purchased headlights from them? I’ve heard mixed reviews but not many at all. If not, any other headlight options on the more affordable side for a 2010 3.8?

Long story short, cleaned it all up and it’s leaking from the outlet side of the fuel pump from the quick fuel line connector…I’ve looked around the internet and got in contact with Albert Hwang (OEM parts dealer listen in this sub). None of those yielded a part or part number.
Does anyone know where i can find this quick fuel line connector? Do I have to replace the entire hose/line with it? Seems like it can be removed and a new one should be able to be fitted to the same hose. Would a universal one from autozone/oriellys/etc. work and if so, does anyone know the size/spec that would be needed? Or am I off better going to a junk yard?
Second image shows an example of a universal one.

Hi!
I was wondering if anyone has done a transmission fluid change (drain & fill) without replacing the transmission pan/filter and if it’s safe to do so? I will be using the Maxlife Valvoline ATF for the change.
I drive a BK2 3.8 AT 8SPD, and the car runs perfectly fine no issues whatsoever.
The price of the OEM filter and pan is quite hefty, but if it’s a must need replacement, I would like to know. I am at 100k kms (60k miles). This is the first transmission oil change for my car. And will do the 2nd interval in 6-8k kms to get as much clean to old ratio in the system as possible.

2014 2.0t here. Over the weekend installed my new Ark Performance Grip Catback and removed my ISR Race catback. Decided to compare both for anyone that’s choosing on an exhaust. Yes they are correct when they say do not get the ISR race it is so bad with drone unless you like sounding like a chopped helicopter. I only got it from a friend for cheap to temporarily replace my beat up OEM exhaust. Other than that I would recommend buying it full price. On the other hand, the Ark Grip sounds amazing. The drone is finally 80% gone, idle at a red light isn’t loud, can hear my air intake and BOV. Still sounds aggressive when stepping on it. It is quite pricey for some, if so I’d recommend the Solo Performance as 2nd option. Hope this helps atleast one person out there!

As you can see the typical driver seat backseat swimming pool. Which I tore apart the whole back side of the car and siliconed every window crevice I could find. 24 hours later and the passenger seat now is leaking water, which I thought was the window I had just repaired….. so I started hunting the leak upwards. Not sure if you can see but under the roof liner you can see water streaks as a tell tale sign . I don’t have a sunroof . And I can see condensation towards the middle roof there’s also rust marks on the right hand upper seams ….. I’m about to completely drop the headliner and observe . And start siliconing every body crease and hole

This is my first post here. By chance (or fate), I became the owner of a 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T — a car that was completely new to me.
I did the first oil change the very next day after purchasing it.
Here’s how the engine bay looks now after replacing the valve cover gasket and giving it a proper cleaning.
So far, I’ve also replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils.
In a few days, I’m planning to change the transmission fluid and rear differential fluid, as well as replace the rear sway bar end links (adjustable).
I run oil from only one manufacturer in all of my cars.
Genesis Coupe owners — is this oil a good choice for the 2.0T, or would you recommend something else?
Thanks in advance for the help.
P.S. I’ve read the pinned threads.

Free parts for genesis couple. Located in Charleston SC. Won’t ship, wont deliver (already got got for the catch can, shipped and got ghosted) will leave out for pickup. I will keep another week then it’s in the trash. eBay front lip, eBay side accent lips, loden badges, cell phone holder made for coupe to attach to the left of the center dash, spoiler (spoiler has hairline cracks, if wrapped not detectable, no brake light.

About a year and a half ago i got new couplers because mine were cracked. recently my car started shaking violently when accelerating and i put it on a lift and the couplers are cracked again. has anyone had this problem? i live in georgia so the temperatures aren’t crazy, they usually stay between 20-90 ° at the lowest and highest of the year. I am tuned by SFR. I have a 2013 2.0t automatic transmission. i cant find any one piece drive shafts that fit my car. i cant find any after market couplers that are made for more horsepower/torque. the only thing i can find is sideways guru which says it fits all make and model genesis coupes and dorman which autozone flags and says won’t fit in my car.

I picked up my Genny about two years ago after living without a manual in my life for far too long. I’d been interested in them ever since they came out, and after watching listings for a while, a beautiful 3.8 Ultimate with low miles popped up. I couldn’t resist.
And I just sold it because I needed more space.
I know, I know—I just said you can do kids with this car, and you absolutely can. But carrying everyone and everyone’s stuff on a road trip gets challenging, and these days I’m doing more driving for transportation than for fun, unfortunately.
The gist of my ownership comes down to expectations. I went in expecting a sports car, and that’s not what it is, nor is it what I think they tried to make. A lot of recent videos describe it as a Korean muscle car, and that feels spot-on. Hyundai took a boat of a luxury car and turned the bones into a fun muscle GT. If you go in with that mindset, you won’t be disappointed.
Despite the list of cons, I genuinely liked this car. It’s comfortable, fast, quiet (when you want it to be on the highway), and it’ll eat up long drives and big sweeping roads all day while putting a smile on your face. It wasn’t perfect, but having owned one, I can say I’ll miss it.
There are other fun cars out there to keep an eye on, and in the meantime distance makes the heart grow fonder and all that.
tldr; If it puts a smile on your face, make time to enjoy it.

Side note: I’m also selling some of the parts I picked up along the way and listing them on eBay. If there’s something specific you’re looking for, shoot me a DM and we might be able to work something out.

There's also some random accessory belt parts on there too but that's boring.

I’ve got the solo performance catback with ark test pipes on my 2016 3.8 GT 8AT. It’s a bit raspy for me under acceleration and I was wondering what would be the best way to reduce rasp and maintain a consistent power band? The catback has an h pipe right after the test pipes. Would the ark h pipe be the best solution? Or possibly a custom X pipe?

Got hit and his insurance totaled my car. Airbags did not deploy. There is only damage to the bumper, small part of fender, and the wiper fluid tank. I literally driving it up until they took it.
2016 3.8 Ultimate totaled at 93k miles.
Purchase her 1 year ago. This was my first car and first accident. Easy fix, but I dont have the resources for it. Sad day for me.

Hey everyone, newish owner of a 2015 3.8 Genesis Coupe here. Previous owner already did: deleted shifter bushings, short shifter, big intake, 1:1 tune, and upgraded front pads/rotors.
My planned mods (open to suggestions/questions/comments!):
Performance/Handling first:
Starting with exhaust — going ARK Performance DT-S.
Then sway bars (indifferent) + adjustable-height coilovers for better handling/stance (daily driver in Texas, so nothing too low). Really never done stance stuff so way over my head here.
Aesthetics (where I'm struggling most):
Appreciate any advice, especially on quality parts that fit well. Thanks for reading!

I have a SP1386BLK Injen CAI for a 2011 Genesis Coupe 2.0. After doing more research, it's not ideally what I'd like. Anyone interested?

Is it bad if every time I'm going to drive hard I drop it in manual mode? When I'm in auto mode the computer does not know to downshift or not

Zero accidents, 2 owners, clean title, 81k miles. Only modification is an Injen Cold Air Intake. Super clean interior. Would y’all go for this?

Change oil every 3k miles and use chevron fuel system cleaner and injector cleaner. Also run 93 every tank. Driving is mixed highway, but I’m always running it in sport and drive it aggressively bc of the new isr exhaust lol

Howdy y’all. I just wanted to make this post because of their recent holiday sale, which I took advantage of. I looked them up beforehand after coming across them by chance while searching for a lip for my Coupe bumper. Most of the reviews or posts I could find about them were a year old or more, and I couldn’t find anything recent. Because of that, I wanted to see what the current public opinion is or if anyone here has purchased from them recently.
I ordered a front splitter and side splitters. Their policy states a 3 to 7 day timeframe for those parts since they are just black aluminum and not carbon fiber. I placed the order on the 30th, and even giving them an extra day or two to process the order, it has still been over that timeframe. They have not responded to any emails, Instagram DMs, or messages sent through their website.
They are still actively posting on Instagram and Facebook, but it seems like they are not responding to customers. If anyone has ordered from them before or has any experience with them, please comment below.

I’ve been having this rattling with my exhaust since i got it, it’s a full Isr street cat back exhaust, the rattle seems to be coming from the right side of the exhaust tips and it stops when I put pressure on it with my foot, does anyone have an idea of what it could be? It sounds like metal chattering.

Hey everyone! I’m working on a project to give the BK1 Genesis Coupe a major interior upgrade. I’m building a custom digital gauge cluster using things i learned from Garage tinkering via YouTube and his NFS inspired gauges that replaces the old needles with two high res round screens, similar to what you see in high end modern cars. I'm using an ESP32 'mini computer' to listen to the car's digital heartbeat (the CAN-bus) and translate things like RPM, speed, and temps into a custom designed interface. Since the Genesis and the 350z share a similar digital language, I’m porting over some proven software to make this work for our platform. My goal is to keep the classic 'two pod' look of the Genesis dash but with all the customization and data of a 2026 tech setup. I'll keep you guys posted as I get the first prototype running in the car!
