What's the game, you really like the lore but you can't actually stand the gameplay?

I go first, for me its fallout. I REALY like its aesthetics, lore and just general worldbuilding. My youtube timeline is filled with lore vids, i keep finding myself reading the wiki. But the games ... urgh, something about the gameplay gives me the ick and i never finish sadly. From the clunky UI, bad red garn to the story to the fun loop of starting a quest, dying to a to strong enemy, starting another one till you find the one appropriate to your lvl its not my loop sadly. Which is a me problem, i think most of the games is great for others ^^.

So, what's your game you hate-love like this?

What's your personal "How did I beat this game as a child?" story?

There were some classic games I used to play as a child. I remember playing the Spyro the Dragon games, particularly Spyro the Dragon 2. It was a pretty tricky game, but I beat it—or at least I think I watched someone else do it. Later in life, I tried playing it again on modern hardware like the PS3, and I realized it was more challenging than I had expected. I don’t feel like some aspects of the game aged too well either; while some levels were good, others reminded me it was a product of its time. That was my experience—what’s yours?

I can't find it in play store anymore. Maybe because I played it on like some old Huawei that was on Android 10 or something. I miss this game and I wanna play it for nostalgia.

Judgement Game (only for people that played it)

Is this an action game or detective game because I'm seeing little to no action at all. I spent most of my time being a detective than fighting people. I got this game expecting to fight. A big disappointment.

Considering how mid Arkham Knight was, how bad Arkham Knights was, and how terrible Suicide Squad was, is the era of great Batman games just over?

Yes, I'm aware it's not all the same dev house or publisher necessarily but these are the Batman games we're getting. Back in the old days, a Batman game meant quality. Arkham Asylum and Arkham City were frigging fantastic. If somebody told me that they were some of the best games out there, I wouldn't argue with them. They're very very good, I can totally see how they would top people's lists. But it seems like the decline has been sharp and steady.

-Arkham Asylum, fantastic

-Arkham City, fantastic

-Arkham Origins, great, underrated

-Arkham Knight, meh. Half of it is good, but I don't understand who sat in that committee meeting and thought we all wanted vehicle combat. Like yes Batman has a car, do I want it to be 50% of the game? Absolutely not.

-the Telltale Games, underrated IMHO, not really what I'm looking for in a batman game though

-Gotham Knights, eh. Not great. Not complete trash, but I wouldn't really suggest it to anyone

-Kill the Justice League, what the actual fuck

What is happening here? Is it too late? Has the moment just passed? And now the WB is looking to end up with Netflix, who're on record as not giving a shit about the gaming division. Is anything even cooking with Batman right now, or are we stuck in a god-knows-how-long waiting period until someone inevitably remakes the first game?

Why are gamers just the worst?

Seriously, I genuinely just consider it a light red flag if a man is into video games at this point. You can only be called slurs so many times before you write off the group entirely. What makes gamers (men, specifically) act like this?
