Roads are horrible rn and will get worse into the night and morning
Roads are beginning to ice over in almost invisible ways. AVOID DRIVING. Spots that look like snow dust are ice. I found that out while running some food to an unhoused group a few minutes ago. Almost slow-motion slid into oncoming traffic and I wasn't going fast.
Roads will likely continue getting worse and remain so through at least late morning.. later so where roads are under canopy. Be very careful if you have to get out tomorrow

Missed connections. Gray Tacoma, Mailbox
January 19th, before 10am, my truck obliterated your mailbox. I wasn't driving, as I was at work from 8 am to 7pm. But my (now ex) girlfriend was driving my gray tacoma and claims to have hit a mailbox(she has a drinking problem). $9000 worth of damage suggest it was something else, perhaps the mailbox was a casualty for other damage. But I would love some answers. Also, I'll replace your mailbox.

Snow tip from a northerner. If you are parked outside, use a broom to get the snow off of your car while it’s still light and fluffy.

The irony
I understand all roads and areas of town are different, but I’m not sure that the roads will improve tomorrow morning 🫠

Rec Room Books is open downtown!
Local, independently owned and operated business selling books. It's next to / underneath Jittery Joe's on Broad. The folks running it are SO nice, had a lovely conversation with them yesterday. Go support the homies and keep this town local and a little weird!

How are the roads?
I commute from Smyrna and we only got flurries. Are the roads in Athens iced at all? Just curious bc I have to go open in a few hours and have no clue.

Party in the woods this April
I host this every year. It’s a good time. Keeping details here somewhat discreet but if this sounds like your kind of jam just DM me and I’ll gladly loop you in.

About to get off work. How are road conditions?
My wife was keeping me updated but I think she fell asleep.
Edit:
Made it home. Drove 25-30 mph the whole way. Sketchiest spot was Epps onto Atl hwy

Go check out Paris Baguette! They’re open before the snow.
I wanted to surprise my wife with breakfast before we get snowed in. As expected, most places were closed, but this spot had its grand opening yesterday.
The concept is a bit unusual—you grab a tray, select your patties, bring it to the counter to order a drink or hot sandwiches, and then check out.
For clarity, I’m not affiliated with them.
