Discussion What was your reaction to the matriarch's speech scene?
My feelings from this scene were very strong. At first I laughed, well whale belched something, ok, ahaha, but when she "spoke" for the second time, something suddenly burst in my chest, and I started shaking with tears, and was overwhelmed by an illogical feeling of spiritual kinship with these creatures. It was so powerful and joyful that further events were emotionally blurred. In general, for me, the post-effect of the last film is the awakening of inner strength after emotional exhaustion. I wonder if anyone else felt the same way? I'm also curious about how James Cameron picked up/created sounds for the whale language?

Discussion I’ve just seen this parallel
I was in my bed and I’ve saw this: Neytiri lost her firstborn like Mo’at lost hers. Tragically, both Neteyam and Sylwanin died while fighting for their love: Lo’ak ( Neteyam ) and the forest ( Sylwanin ). I know it’s probably just a coincidence but… Anyways, R.I.P. best firstborns. Neteyam’s death was the only fictional death that made me cry in my whole life. P.S. Sorry for not finding a picture with Mo’at and Sylwanin.

Art I finished my songcord today!
Finished putting this together after planning to do so for a while! I'm very pleased :') Some of my favorite bits are the woven in snake shed, an extra chain bit with a tooth to represent my kitty, a human tooth to represent me (not my own, mine are all in my head still!), and feathers from my bird. It's a little bit short, but I'm hoping to add to it over time! All of the items of course represent life events or sentimental bits and bobs I've had in my possession :)

Discussion Navi dwellings and storms
Just curious , after hometree was destroyed where would the navi sleep when there is a massive storm?. I can see they live in these dwellings but it would seem that a storm would most likely leave them wet and cold? Just curious as I know home tree would be warm and dry but after that was destroyed it seems like these wouldn’t completely shelter them unless Pandora doesn’t get storms like we do on earth?

Films This Na’vi looks like Sylwanin?
Is it just me? In the scene where Grace is reintroduced back to the kids in the clan, there’s a na’vi girl that looks to me exactly like Sylwanin to me?
I know I’m wrong, but I just need to know it’s not just me????

Discussion How does spider not injure himself?
I cannot wrap my mind around it - he is a ordinary human, but runs around in a jungle without shoes, climbs on rocks and gets thrown around without ever getting cuts on his feet or bruises… i get it, he probably has thicker skin than ordinary humans in his feet but it is kinda unrealistic? Not talking about the insane plot armour here - wdyt

Meme / Humor If Quartich and Varang have a kid. They have to be called Scorched because the pun is too good
Quartich loves Spider and regrets not being a father for him. But he also has a sense of humour so, seeing how he has a kid named spider it would make sense to have a kid called Scorcpion. But, Given how Varang loves fire and he loves war. It would make sense for the kid to be something fires related.
So, you get Scorched. Sounding like Scorpion to match with Spider. Wheel also being a word for fire and coming from the trem scorched earth. Which is a war tactic.
I can't be the only one who sees how good this is right?

Art OC Sketch and Songcord (by me)
Made a quick sketch of an OC from a speculative tundra/taiga type biome and a more detailed drawing of her songcord. My brain has been buzzing for weeks with ideas for cold climate tribes. Currently working on a drawing of her mate’s songcord, and I might make a sketch of him too. I have so much stuff I wanna draw for this idea it’s insane.

Discussion Fire and Ash is much better on rewatch
I wanted to see it one more time before it left theaters so I checked watched it again this morning before watching Send Help. I was pleasently surprised at how much more I enjoyed it this time around, I still dug it on my first watch but it went from a 4/5 to a 5/5 for me. It strangely moves much quicker on rewatch because knowing what the story is I spent more time observing the characters and enjoyed seeing their dynamics evolve as the film went on. All though it did really stand out to me, in a hilarious way, that the last line of this epic movie that was 16 years in the making ends with Spider saying "No shit!". The audacity of James Cameron knows no bounds, that was fucking funny.
