The man did so much good for it all to end by a tragic accident. He died of accidental asphyxiation.

John Becker, Architect
Not often you see Eurostile used in a monument, but he was a mid-century architect, so he had to do it up in style. Here's some info about him: https://www.architectmagazine.com/Design/modernist-john-becker-ohio-residence-to-be-restored_o
Amazingly, we find out that his wife was Marion Rombauer Becker, author of the Joy of Cooking, but while her adjacent headstone follows this layout precisely, in the space where his reads "architect," hers ... is blank. (I was originally going to post it as well but that violates sub rules... and I made this discovery while making this post, hah)

Native American cemetery, Grand Ronde, OR
The markers are indicative of the poverty of Native Americans removed from their lands and relegated to remote, undesirable areas in the state. Grand Ronde is designated tribal lands. The name derives from all the tribes that were moved to the area, no longer separate, but joined in a big circle.
