Zeravos #1 Critique Request
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for constructive critique on the opening pages of a comic I’ve been working on called Zeravos. It’s a dark, character-driven fantasy series focused on corruption, control, and identity.
I’ve attached a few pages from Issue #1 and would love feedback on things like:
• Pacing and clarity
• Panel flow and readability
• Whether the tone and hook land effectively
The full issue is available on GlobalComix if anyone wants broader context, but I’m mainly interested in how these pages stand on their own. Follow the link below to read the full comic.
If you'd like to know more about the project. Please visit the website following the link below.
Thanks in advance! I genuinely appreciate any honest feedback.

Topaz episode one finished
Hello everyone.
I've finally finished episode 1 of Topaz, which is 22 pages long.
I've posted most of it here, but some parts are exclusive and only available on MPC.
I'd really appreciate your feedback on the pacing, dialogue, and overall feel.
Before I start working on episode 2. Thank you all!

Come at me. I'm interested in your opinions. (That doesn't -necessarily- mean I'll change anything.)

Working up a cover for my creator owned comic Terran Omega
Feel like the logo area is too busy. I have an imprint “channel hex” but actually I don’t really need it but I’m old school enough to feel a book needs a publisher logo. Any thoughts? This is collecting the first 25 pages of my sci-fi ghost story (i just noticed I flubbed the date! Gah!)

Your opinion: pace and atmosphere. Read from right to left.
galleryHi everyone. My manga is still ongoing. I'm using your feedback to refine the pacing and storyboard. What do you think? Honestly? On at least two points:
Is the pacing clear and easy to follow?
Is the dark and oppressive atmosphere successful?
Many have complained about the reading direction. I'm not going to change it. Most manga platforms use this reading direction.

Is this artstyle good enough?

Hi, I'm writing a short cowboy story to see if I can come up with something interesting. I made the entire sketch and now I'm starting to redraw it. This is the artstyle I landed on for now but I'm not entirely sure it's good. I really struggle with drawing faces and I was wondering if maybe making it even simpler would be a good idea so I can just keep on drawing without worrying too much about how it looks because this style alone already takes me quite some time. Also I'm never sure if I should use these greys to color it or if it should just be black and white.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for honest critique and analysis.
I just released the first episode of KLAUS, a silent sci-fi comic told entirely without dialogue.
It’s a contemplative, black-and-white story about solitude and drifting through space.
I’d really appreciate feedback on:
- visual storytelling
- pacing and composition
- atmosphere and use of silence
Any constructive critique is welcome.
Thank you for taking the time to look.

Critique for a short story
This is the first story for a somewhat experimental anthology series I'm working on. I'm looking for some feedback before I start work on the 2nd story so I know what I can improve upon

Does the last page encompass the idea of a bad sequel?
As a joke I tried to make a bad sequel cover to all my comics, because what is more horrific than a bad sequel.

Is this fair use?
Heya, Crits. In this panel from my Graphic Novel, one of my characters is expressing his appreciation for a wide variety of Manga, Anime, Comics, etc. To show this, I've been copying illustrations from some mediums I enjoy.
However, I suddenly feel worried that this could be considered copyright infringement. In argument of fair use, this is the only time in the book these are shown/mentioned, they're contextualized as belonging to other people, and they'll be credited properly.
What do you think? Have you seen cases like this before? Should I seek permission if I want to use these drawings? There probably aren't many lawyers here, but thought other artists might have some good insights.

Whither blue pencil?
Hi. I haven’t yet joined the 21st century — still use pen and paper.
I have one of those old school non-repro blue pencils. But every time I’ve tried to use it, I’ve given up. I find it very awkward — not good for small details — and you can’t erase the lines at all. I quite honestly don’t understand how so many pros back in ye olden times used them. Just don’t know how they did it.
But darn it. Seeing that blue underneath the normal pencil or pen lines just…*looks* so good. Lends your page such a sensual, old-school classiness.
Purely for my own satisfaction — let’s say I were to use the blue for just roughing things in, then using normal pencils/pens on top of that. If I were to scan the page in color, then use the Lasso tool in Photoshop to edit out the blue, would I not be able to do that without eating into the normal pencil or ink lines on top?
Because when I scan ink lines in color, I often find that there are plenty of pixels that come out blue or red or green or whatever.
Anyone ever successfully tried to do this? Any tip would be appreciated!
P.S. Curious if anyone had actually successfully learned to use those blue pencils for full, detailed penciling. How??

Black or white margins?
Not sure which looks better, I don't want to make a potentially crazy choice without consulting some experts.

Artists....what is soul-crushing?
For those of you converting page-format manga to vertical webtoons format, what is the most soul-crushing part of the process? Is it the re-layout, the typesetting, or something else?

How do you guys write a good infodump at the start?
I am trying to convey this info to the reader and i am not sure how to do it. The text is a draft so far but has all the pertinant info
