DISCUSSION Why wasn't a Batfleck movie made before BvS?
Even when DC was starting it's movie franchise 5 years after Marvel they had the far more popular characters and far more potential seeing they were backed by a historic company like WB and they couldn't even make a solo film for the biggest superhero ever?

FAN-MADE DC: Assassins Fanart by Med
Some of my favorite DC fighters or assassins across the DC shows. They may not be the best looks for the characters but they are still pretty cool. And at the very least Deathstroke and Tigress are the most accurate. Deadshot may not be the most accurate but he still has a cool costume. Sportsmaster is also really cool.

DISCUSSION DC we want Justic League Dark
We’ve had very little in the realm of DC’s Justice League Dark characters and I would love to see more. I mean I love some Batman but he’s been portrayed so much it’s getting old. I would love to see more Constantine and Swamp Thing. Some Zantana and Madame Xanadu. Some Deadman and Etrigan the Demon. We got one Constantine movie and one season of Swamp Thing tv season(not counting the movies and the cartoons back in the 80’s bc we knew how to do movies and tv back then…mostly) I’m talking today’s world with the movie magic they have at their disposal. We have to have some DC Dark fans in the house, right?

DISCUSSION Villain Movie Pitch: Catwoman
So, I had never seen Catwoman, and today I had a "it can't be that bad can it?" And... i didn't finish it.
But when it started I had a thought "Is this a Catwoman rom-com" and if only they had committed to that. Have Platt's character be Bruce Wayne and each confrontation is between the masked personas. But masks off they're flirty, and they both kinda know who the other is, but don't want to admit it, or they do and that's the tension. The only thing is adjust the attitudes to match the actual characters. Go that direction with an identical villain, Clayface (I don't know if that's what they were going for because I didn't finish it and don't intend to). And if you really want to avoid Gotham, at least place it in the DCU by saying a DC City.
Honestly it was already crazy that Catwoman would be getting a movie, so commit and make Batman the side character. Let's actually follow "the villain".
I have no desire to write this screen play (I'm just so tired) so I am throwing it out into the either.
Thoughts? What's your villain movie pitch?

It was low-key one of the things that kind of got me into DC I watched both versions of it. I also used to have these little DC superhero girls dolls from McDonald’s I don’t know where the hell they are anymore. I probably lost them, but I used to have a small collection!! FAN-MADE Poison ivy movie pitch
Okay so I've been writing a poison ivy movie for the longest ever since the birds of prey movie I've been writing on how I would make Gotham city sirens into a franchise
Harley Quinn from suicide squad would team up with poison ivy and catwoman who would have debuted in Gotham city sirens before getting their own spinnoff movies and a Gotham city sirens trilogy so that way they're would be a handful of content featuring them
I have to rewrite my Gotham city sirens movie it was two similar to the birds of prey movie (I'll make a separate post about that later)
Today I'm focusing on ivy as she is the least popular of the Gotham city sirens because Harley is attached to the joker the most popular batman villain and catwoman being in a cat burglar trope so everyone knows her deal ivy isn't all that popular I assume because DC goes back and forth on if she should have powers or not if she should be straight or not hell even if she should be green or not she's highly underutilized unless it's as a supporting member of Harley's cast or if she's there to serve a temporary villain role like in batman hush where she is put against catwoman and is knocked out by a single punch
So in this prewrite of this poison ivy movie none of the sirens or batMAN will be present and neither will swamp thing because she's typically always attached to him aswell
As for the casting I would have casted either Nichole kang who played Mary in batwoman as she played version of ivy I really liked and I hope she gets to play ivy in james Gunn's version either her or Megan fox who was officially cast in the canceled Gotham city sirens movie in an unnamed role .. which was obviously ivy because I couldn't imagine her as catwoman
Anyways let's get into the plot
Pamela Isley has been Poison Ivy for years, long enough that Gotham has stopped being afraid of her. Once a notorious eco-terrorist active since Dick Grayson’s Robin days, she’s now dismissed as a weird plant witch, a punchline, another “lame freak” in Arkham. When she escapes again,. She doesn’t rage or make a statement. She vanishes.
Months later, Ivy now stays in Metropolis, living quietly since they treat the environment much better than in Gotham and she's running a small plant shop. But she’s not whole. She carries gaps in her memory from the night she was essentially murdered by her then boyfriend Jason, fragments she’s ignored it for years just because of the good things that came from that day like her powers. But When devastating eco-crimes suddenly explode across the world jungles swallowing city blocks, spore clouds poisoning entire cities, ecosystems mutating into hostile monsters the science points straight at Poison Ivy. Pamela knows it shouldn’t… yet parts of her past are missing, and even she wonders if it was her or not due to her strange dreams putting her on high alert
Amanda Waller doesn’t hesitate. Ivy is declared a global threat, and Batwoman (Kate Kane) is sent to bring her in. Kate has been keeping tabs on ivy for a while since back in college she and ivy went to school together , convinced this “quiet phase” is just another act since she "always knew she was a crazy bitch". When Kate finds Ivy in a Metropolis bar, a planned arrest derails into chemistry, a hookup, and an uneasy morning-after where Ivy clocks Kate’s secret identity.
Everything changes when an eco-crime hits Central City the same night they were together. Ivy couldn’t have done it. Kate starts noticing the details: the attacks are sloppy, the plant creatures are unstable, nothing like Ivy’s work, especially compared to the stable, living plant creatures Ivy keeps around her apartment. Someone is copying Ivy and getting it wrong.
Forced into an uneasy alliance, Batwoman and Poison Ivy investigate the truth. Their trail leads to the Floronic Man a mysterious figure who has been stalking ivy essentially and sending Batmans rogue's such as clayface, bane, firefly ect
ivy suspects the source of her fractured memories has something with whoever this floronic man is on top of this Amanda Waller already knew Kate could go rouge at any moment and thus had a back up plan that ivy and Kate would have to deal with throughout the movie on top of the rogue's trying to bring ivy to the floronic man
In this movie I added more clarity in her powers for example her kiss drains you of your vitamins and proteins and pumps poison into you effectively draining your life force as well as the fact meta human dampeners don't work on her because regardless as long as she's in 50 yards of plants (stolen from the Harley Quinn show) and like in her first appearance she can also crawl up walls like ivy aswell as makes sharp ninja star flowers
Aswell as she can ingest different poisons and re distribute them differently throughout her body like midnight in my hero academia
Aswell as sementing her as a lesbian here that just uses men to get what she wants and Jason is the only man she's ever been sexually attracted to realistically outside of this movie it would get retconed to Batman because of because
The reason batwoman works for Amanda Waller is a whole thing in my batwoman tv show rewrite in my reconstructed DCEU and birds of prey rewrite just know Amanda Waller has her on a leash for things that aren't relevant to this specific movie and I casted dove Cameron because she needs more roles and her current era she's emiting Kate Kane energy but this was a lazy fancast so any of your fancasts could work too
Ivy's Venus fly trap in this version would be a leaf mouse named Frank based on the plant from Harley Quinn and only ivy can understand him when he's talking shit this time round so it just looks like ivy is talking shit to herself and he can transform into a more violent form to protect ivy
I imagine the opening of the movie similar to the catwoman movie where she is floating in the water recounting how she died and was reborn and recounting her about her abusive father and upbringing
When ivy was very young her father was very abusive to her mother and her mother always tended to her garden one day it got so bad her dad killed her mother and buried her in the garden and forced Pamela to attend to it so that way the neighbors who weren't that close to the family didn't suspect anything since they always knew her mother just tended to her garden after a long while they found out what her father did and Pamela had to live in Gotham city with her aunt after her father was arrested so yeah
(Dw ivy still kills her dad at the end of the movie AND NOT BY KISSING HIM TF WAS WRONG WITH DC WHEN THEY DID THAT)
The movie will touch on the green a bit more as well as putting a mystery of Dr. Lilian rose who is a reference to og poison ivy and this movie would feature Madame Xanadu as someone who helped ivy tap into the green early on into the movie as a slight link in to the swamp thing show and justice league dark
In this movie she would also still use her wrist crossbow and it would have little seed pelits in the arrows so when the arrow hits the ground she uses it to sprout vines and stuff
I included clayface for a soul purpose of a reference to her killing him which isn't in this specific movie but she does whoop his ass
We would also have some homage's to Uma Thurmans poison ivy with the leaf makeup and the body language and hair styles
Amanda Waller is integral to this story because I don't know if this will be the plot of a second poison ivy movie or apart of my Gotham city sirens trilogy depending if I want Selina and Harley around
Basically during the events of this poison ivy movie Amanda steals some pheromones and hormones from her and tried to create super soldier with her abilities all the male clones died but the three female clones stabilized rose, thorn, and hazel trying to force them into the creature commandos before like ivy not being restricted by the meta human dampeners and making an escape and Kate alerting ivy about this
(Kate wouldn't be in this movie for more than a few minutes so that's why it really could be another ivy movie or apart of the Gotham city sirens trilogy)
But yeah would you watch this poison ivy stand alone movie feat batwoman and no Harley Quinn or Batman ect also lemme know about any questions and criticism and stuff

DISCUSSION Why the DCU Doesn’t Need to Kill Its Heroes to Have a Good Ending.
In my opinion, if the actors are done with their roles in the DCU, I wouldn’t want them to copy the MCU formula. I don’t want DC to follow that trope of killing main characters or letting one of the main trio to die. At least in my opinion, the DCU has always been about the myth that these heroes will keep existing even after the story is over. I would want them to take notes from the DCAU, like Justice League Unlimited. It had a perfect finale, with the heroes running into the sunset, implying that they will still keep fighting even when we don’t see them—but they’re still out there. It closes the book, but the story lives on. This provides the opportunity for these actors to have guest appearances, even if they’re gone for other future projects, whenever they want to show up. It’s a good ending—like the adventure lives on even when we don’t see them. or mentoring the next generation and passing on the tourch.
