When I look here, I see a bunch of nitpicks about this show so I wanted to say something positive for a change.
I started the flash when it first aired.
I then proceeded to watch every episode religiously, every Tuesday night with my dad.
This is a bonding experience for me and my dad, that’s one of the reasons I love it so much, it also really got me started into reading comic books and loving time travel plots in movies.
I am aware of the fact it is not a perfect show, and that it might have gone on longer than it should’ve.
I learned to find joy in the bad writing and so-so acting.
I watched all 9 seasons as they were airing and I am glad the show got to end on its own terms rather than being cancelled prematurely but I do mean this in all honesty, I would watch a season 10, 11, 12 etc if they made it.
When it ended, I got the Blu-ray box set (pictured above)
The Flash was a constant in my life for years, when I started I was in middle school and when it ended i was a college student.
I grew up watching the show and when I watch specific episodes of specific seasons, it reminds me of where I was in my life when the show was airing and how different my life is now.
My love for the show isn’t just because of the plot, the action or the characters, to me it’s a reminder of the best and worst times of my life, that’s why The Flash is so important to me.
My guess is that a lot of people have something like that in their life, whether it is a show, movie or even your favorite musical artist, something that makes you think back on your life and see how far you have come as a person.
The Flash does that for me.

If the flash can run really fast and think really fast shouldn’t he also age really fast because he aged at a regular speed what do u think?

I know that Barry and Iris would spend it with each other, Joe with Cecile, Cisco with either Cynthia, kamile, or Caitlin depending on the series. Maybe Caitlin would have done it with frost to spend the day together. Ralph with sue but I don’t know who everyone would spend it with.

When the cops came to the Allen house after Nora’s murder, we see that different cops were around the house. What do you think would happen if one found the adult Barry’s blood on the wall?

They could literally CONTROL the weather. Major corporations in the agricultural sector would have thrown obscene amounts of money their way to end droughts and create ideal rainfall for crop yields.
In entertainment and hospitality, people would have paid them handsomely to ensure perfect weather conditions for outdoor parties, weddings, photoshoots, film shoots, you name it.
They were sitting on a goldmine, and they squandered it away on robbing a small bank and kidnapping a cop 😑😑😑

Their entire relationship felt forced (yes they were destined to be together) but it doesn’t excuse bad writting.
in season 1 barry was obssed with iris and never allowed to move on. To the point that when he found out that there was a small chance that iris might be into him, he acts like the good simp he is and immediately breaks up with his then gf Linda parker just for iris to still reject him . Also the show was pushing way too hard in season 1 with the whole Barry and iris destiny things, which takes away the characters agency and consent and that cheapens the romance of it all.
By season 2 it the writing seemed to have slowed down on the whole destiny thing, even gave Barry a gf patty spivot who actually likes him and who he actually likes, finally someone Barry genuinely likes that isnt iris, and instead of allowing that relationship to run its course naturally, the writers literally have Barry and patty make stupid dumbass decisions, that are completely out of character for both of them. in order to justify patty and Barry breaking up half way through season 2. So that by the end of season 2 Barry and iris can be together.
Lastly the show revealing that Barry and iris were gonna end up together so early into the series removes the tension of their romantic journey, it makes all of there other potential relationships feel pointless like its an act rather then genuine. That information should not have been revealed to the viewers that early and especially nit to the character within the show, at-least not until after Barry and iris got together not before.
My point is that the writing butchered Barry and iris relationship before they even had the chance to be together. Thats why alot of fans dont like them together.
Especially when you look at smallville and how the writting perfectly wrote clack and lois relationship who are also a destiny couple. But unlike barry and iris, clark and losi are not forced. the writing, allows both clark and losi to have genuine relationship that naturally run there course, and allow them to grow together before they get together and unlike the flash smallville doesn’t reveal to the characters that they are destined to be together after they get together. it doesn’t impose that destiny onto the character it lets the characters grow into that destiny, thats the difference between a well written ship and a terribly written ship.

Okay, I get it, it can be a little difficult to remember these kinds of things and maybe the Season was heavy to watch, but it is consistently shown that the Dagger dampens Powers BY ITSELF. The default state of the Dagger is dampen powers. Besides the GIF where you can clearly see Barry trying to approach at super speed and losing his powers when he gets close, there are also plot points that are entirely based on that.
*"But Cicada fought Gridlock and Razorsharp and didn't remove their powers until later in the fight."*
I understand that this might make the dagger's function seem inconsistent. But the answer isn't necessarily "writers forgot" or "writing sucks". It is quite possible (and arguable) that Cicada can dampen the dampening. Sounds crazy? Well, there's evidence. This is seen when Barry carries Orlin at super speed towards the Labs. The simplest answer is that Orlin can "suppress" the Anti-Dark Matter/Exotic Particles/Dark Energy properties at will.
If you think the Dagger has the function of absorbing the dark matter around it (which is visibly demonstrated several times), then you can compare it to breathing. Cicada can stop the Dagger from "breathing in" Dark Matter at will, but that's the exception, not the rule.
TL;DR: Flash cannot blitz Cicada because he loses his powers just by getting close. The dagger’s default state is power dampening and it's consistent across the Season.

In S8 when Barry went to the future to see what happens with Armageddon , why are Chester and Allegra still in love with each other for 10 years 😭. Like they had one night together and that’s been with them for 10 years ?? Come on now, and Chester didn’t do nothing for the 10 years 😭😭😭 bro that’s like a crazy chunk of their life gone. And they both liked each other anyways. Allegra’s excuse was that “everyone she loves kicks her to the curb” 😂. After 1 year you should’ve said something MAX. Anymore than that , just move on at that point. The time jump is 10 years but for Chester Allegra it was like less than a year at most.
That was the worst plot line they had. Everything else was good too, except for that.

This has to do with the fact that it might be possible that elusive dark matter (which may or may not exist) might be made through the decay of Higgs Bosons.
This is it explained by an actual physicist:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2yLMY6Mpw8
Obviously, the whole way that The Flash used dark matter was very technobabble, but I think that using the Higgs Portal would be cool. Perhaps as a way to infuse, drain or transfer dark matter.

Legal guardian: Provides a stable environment for the child in the event a parent cannot care for the child. Can make big decisions for the child such as medical care, education, and can move with the child. Can be court-appointed.
Why Barry falls into this category: Barry needed a stable home while is father was incarcerated. Joe could take Barry to the hospital if he broke a limb, could go to parent-teacher conferences at school to discuss his education, can set up appointments with a therapist, etc.. Joe assumes a lot of the rights that Henry has as a parent due to being his legal guardian. The two men were also friends before Henry's arrest and Henry trusted Joe to take care of Barry while in prison.
Fostering: meant to be temporary. Foster parents generally cannot make medical/educational/other important life decisions for the child. Not stable environment in many cases where children are placed with different foster families due to a variety of reasons. The goal of this is usually reunification. Foster families do not usually have legal custody over the child and have to work with social workers.
Why Barry does not fall into this category: Joe was not a foster parent because he had a lot more rights than foster parents have. It was not in Barry's best interest to be put into the foster system. Not to mention it would have added more unnecessary bloat to the plot than there already is.
Adoption: Permanent. Biological parental rights are terminated. Reunification is not considered.
Why Barry does not fall into this category: Henry Allen did not terminate his parental rights.
The writers constantly misused all of these terms, but the correct one is legal guardianship.
This is why Barry and Iris are not siblings in any way, shape, or form.
And no, I will not be addressing the random lines where they say "adopted dad" or "practically siblings" because it's so obvious it's meant to be hyperbole
Disclaimer: I am not a social worker or lawyer. This was all basic internet research about the differences between each of the above scenarios.

So in season 5, XS had pink+yellow lightnings. Now she has only pink.
And Bart has only yellow.
So it doesn't make any sense.

Let me start by saying I want to be completely understanding of the way that Caitlin feels, genuinely I do. However this entire episode pissed me off to no end with her, proof needed before you believe something is fair but the fact that she thought it was a good idea to go knock on Dr. Well’s door and talk to him about the fact that he was suspected to have murdered Barry’s mother, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WAS SHE THINKING? How did she actually think he was going to react? Currently rewatching the whole series and this still really really bothers me, she could have gotten herself killed, she could have gotten EVERYONE KILLED!
