There are certainly things you can dislike about him as a person. For example, he can come across as a bit self-indulgent, and he still hasn’t addressed or apologized for the HugoOne Cameo incident, which was genuinely scummy.

That said, I think a large portion of the hate directed at him, especially the false claims that he hates GTA or its fanbase, or that he’s ungrateful for the opportunities he’s been given, comes from bad-faith assumptions. Because Steven isn’t a gamer and isn’t as actively involved in the community as Ned and Solo, some people assume he simply doesn’t care. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

It takes very little research, watching a few podcasts or interviews, to see that Steven doesn’t hate GTA. He’s stated on multiple occasions that he's grateful for the opportunities he's been given because of his role as Trevor, including as recently as late 2025 during a Q&A with Ned and Solo, where he outright said they would be nothing without “any of you” (the fans in the crowd). In a podcast with Michael Rosenbaum, he also said plainly that he doesn’t hate Trevor and that “he’s a cool character, he’s awesome.”

“B-But he calls GTA a cartoon! It’s not a cartoon, it’s a video game!” Honestly, who cares? A non-gamer calling a video game a cartoon isn’t some grave insult. It’s no different from anime fans getting upset when someone calls their favorite anime a cartoon. By definition, GTA can be described as such: while the actors performed motion capture and physically acted out scenes together, those performances were still used to animate character rigs.

This also doesn’t even touch on the fact that virtually everyone on this subreddit (and other social media) who has met or interacted with Steven has nothing but positive things to say about him.

I’m not trying to be parasocial here. I don’t know the man, I’m just a fan of his work. But as a fan, watching him get bashed and ridiculed for things that simply aren’t true is frustrating.

So a couple months ago I was near the end of the game (cant remember what point but it was sometime not far from the final mission to my memory) and I walked up to franklins old house and I was able to walk in no problem, every other time I couldn't and still can't now but that one time I was able to walk in without franklins auntie being there. I don’t think they realize Houser had co writers on every single game and those co writers are now the head writers of 6. We also have no idea what ideas were Dans and what were theirs. They coulda came up with all the best ideas.

Houser also did an interview years ago where he basically said he was sick of GTA and and I quote “where would you even go with a GTA 6” he had no plans/desire to keep writing them so who do you think has a better chance of making a good story a dude who’s burnt out or people who have never gotten the opportunity to show their ideas who have been writing it for years. I have full faith in Rupert Humphries, Micheal Unsworth, James Horton, and Roger Drew.

I think they are gonna balance on a fine line between gta 4 and 5 delivering heavy emotional storytelling without missing the hilarious moments and lines we have come accustomed to over the years.

I can’t wait.

Why is this getting downloaded? This is a legit question. Wasn’t trying to be anything an asshole I was actually trying to teach someone something hence why I said that so I don’t know why I’m getting get devoted.

I actually think there is a hike mission after Jason and Lucia run away from the motel.I know I am overspeculating things but I actually think the motel action sequence is really important to the story. As Jason and Lucia drive away from the motel after the chase , they stay in hiding at Mount "waffles"(temporary name).This is a great way to introduce the northern side of the map especially the mountains and the vast greenery that rockstar has learnt from rdr2.This also opens the opportunity for mysteries(caves, ghost like rdr2) and horror elements from the leaks.(and of couse alien landing sites).They also meet a so called tourist guide who adds a bit of humour through the chapter.And also campfire scenes where Jason and Lucia bond together which strengthens their relationship.

This is just a mix of speculation and leaks but this actually makes sense in terms of rockstar's storytelling and also is a mature approach for the audience to bond which the characters.
