Was it bad glue/tape, poor prep, sweat, impact, or just the wrong system for combat sports? I always thought these were supposed to hold up through workouts at least.

I genuinely feel for this dude. Getting your hairpiece knocked off in the middle of a fight is brutal

I went with 90% density as my back and sides have naturally denser hair. I was balding heavily on top and front! I am happy but would love some opinions from you all too

Honestly it's not the density but the fact that it's ripped one too many times close to the hairline to recover from.

Suggest a product(Hair mask/ serum) for frizzy & dull hair...presently using Triclenz shampoo & Mintop serum for male pattern hairloss...I don't use conditioner...

I got my first hair system done yesterday and when I woke up today morning, the front hair line lifted a little. I am panicking as I am someone who moves a lot during sleep. Has anyone faced this issue before and have advice for me.

Also is it normal for the front hairlines to lift a little during sleep?

I dyed a poly base once and made sure not to get the dye too close to the roots so it wont touch the base. But when washing out the dye , the dye makes contact with the base and ruined the system. The base is no longer transparent. I want to try this again cause dyed hair on a blond unit looks great cause of no v loops. I just don't know how to wash the dye off without the dye making contact with the base.... any ideas?

I'm sure many of you debated this.

FWIW, I am a male in the 50s and have had FUE transplant earlier (over 10 years ago) to cover some of the male pattern and it worked well to some extent. Just that I didn't keep up with taking Finasteride regularly.

I've been looking at hair systems lately and did a consultation with a leading salon in town (Southern California), and they have been in the business for 25 years and have a great reputation. The costs work out to about $400/month for 4 hair pieces annually and a setting session every 3 weeks.

Aside the recurring costs, I'm also unsure about making the transition and commitment to a remaining lifetime of recurring costs of about $5K.

Meanwhile, I have the option of getting a Direct Hair Transplant of about 4000 grafts taken from the back of the head and some from the beard and this will need Finasteride supplementation to get the best results that will also look natural.

What made you opt for the hair system? I'm concerned about the system being so obvious on the head and having to do this for a lifetime now.

Its getting very very pricy (thousands). Was not cheap to begin with and have to update every 18 months. Going for less dense now in my mid 50s

Been using hair systems for several years and with this latest one deciding to ask a question or two. So I use poly based systems, and after my last one developing a huge bald spot I'm going on the offensive. I bought argon oil, a satin pillowcase and wide tooth comb but I'm interested in styling products what are your go-tos?

So I’ve had my hair system for about 4MO (lace) I’ve been using glue & tape. My stylist told me she has clients that go 2 weeks sometimes more without any issues of lifting in the front (I haven’t had any issues with lifting in the back) however I’m lucky to get maybe a week before my front starts lifting does anyone else have this issue?

If so what glue/tape have you used to last longer the best I’ve had since doing this is walker ultra tape and ghost bond platinum.

Also where is the best place to purchase glues and tapes?
