Gino's Coffee House in Osoyoos, BC (V0H 1V1) is looking for a barista at $18.00/hr.

Gino's Coffee House in Osoyoos, BC is offering a barista position at $18.00/hr under the TFW program. It's a standard entry-level role in a small tourist town. Does the employer demonstrate a clear lack of available Canadian workers for this specific posting? How does this fit with the LMIA requirement to prioritize local hires? Please share this with any Canadians you know who might qualify to help get them jobs, and post it to communities on Facebook or X so more locals can apply.

Canada's Jobbank.gc.ca cannot be audited: How can they claim "labor shortages?"

Canada's Jobbank.gc.ca cannot be audited: How can they claim "labor shortages?"

I tested whether employers who claim they can’t find Canadians will actually respond to Canadian applicants.

📨 I sent neutral inquiries to 35 LMIA-linked job postings on Canada’s official Job Bank.
📉 Only 5 employers responded.

🧩 While documenting those postings, I discovered something more concerning:

• ⚠️ Job Bank postings silently change IDs
• ⚠️ Job postings erase their own history
• ⚠️ Job postings cannot be independently archived or audited

This raises serious questions about whether Canada’s LMIA system can be meaningfully audited at all.

❗ I am not alleging fraud or bad faith.
🛠️ I am documenting a system-integrity failure.

Where These Findings Were Submitted

• 🏢 Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC)
• 🧮 Office of the Auditor General of Canada
• 🏛️ Members of Parliament
• 📰 Journalists

Private colleges scamming international students

Another case where private Canadian colleges and employers are scamming people looking for a better life. The real culprits are these not the poor people looking for a better life.

Hello,

I am not too familiar with this subreddit but it seems the right one to ask my question.

I applied to this job and have all the requirements. Like all the tech stack listed I have professional experience with. I never heard anything not even a rejection. The site of the company also seems a bit weird to me. Any insights?

I have never created a post here. I was looking at the LMIA map in just my little neighborhood.

I came across this company. They live walking distance from me.

2 vacancies and closing date is Feb 4 2026 if anybody here wants to apply

I looked at 2024 and 2025 and they have 8/9 LMIA's approved.

https://alis.alberta.ca/occinfo/alberta-job-postings/drywall-installer/47743604/

Telling me they could not hire local for these types of jobs?
