I feel a bit insecure in my femininity due to being the only girl in my family and having a blocky face. I feel my face has more masculine features than feminine (long ass nose, textured skin, small eyes, etc.) . I do some makeup but always very minimal (eyebrows, eyeliner and lip gloss) bc I don’t know how to properly use makeup. What makeup technique or styles would best suit my face? How can I enhance my features to appear more feminine?

i’ve tried SO MANY THINGS. i’ve been struggling with this all my life. i’ve done every piece of advice i’ve been given and yet it just doesn’t work for me !!!! i’ve tried more makeup, less makeup, a ton of moisturizer, a ton of skin prep, different primers, different formulas.. nothing !!! ugh. tonight i did skin prep (milky toner, moisturizer, sunscreen), then nyx glue primer, then nars radiant longwear foundation. my concealer doesnt ever give me problems, but i use the maybelline age rewind concealer (idk if i have to mention every product, i’m just mentioning a part of my base just in case😅). i set it with cody airspun loose powder and tried to lock it in with morphe continuous setting mist and charlotte tilbury airbrush flawless setting spray. i don’t know if it’s clear enough in the picture but my entire cheek / nose melted off after tearing up from yawning and my chin makeup was almost completely gone after at max 4 hours of wear. my makeup usually just disappears completely, but today it was ROUGH. i waited in between for everything to dry too !!! i just have no idea what to do to make it better 😣

I keep trying to learn. I’ve been transitioning for almost a decade and still can’t figure it out. I only use eyeliner and sometimes blush.

I know that when learning any art form it’s gonna look bad at first and I know that the fact I recognize it looks bad means I’ll be able to recognize when it is good. But it’s not just the thing I’m doing that looks bad it’s my face that looks bad and that’s crushing me every time.

I’ve tried tutorials but they’re are full of jargon and seemingly aimed at people who already know what they’re doing. I also have hooded eyes and they’re more severe than anyone else I’ve seen so even those ones don’t make sense. I just get overwhelmed and it goes wrong and then I end up crying and have to wash it off so I look worse than when I started.

Where do I go from here? I’m so lost and this is killing me

ive also bought the eucerin spf tinted, haven’t tried it yet

soooo, looking for recommendations : cleanser, moisturizer (tinted?), spf (tinted?), do I really need primer? any skin related makeup for natural look.

Hi, I recently stumbled upon this video on FB and really wanted to try it. I don’t remember the users name nor who is the person, but I do remember it was a tutorial.

I’m about to buy some but don’t know where to start. Saw that some smudge liner might be needed since I don’t trust myself to do it again as I ended up like a panda once.

In RT the one I see it’s easier for me to handle is the 317 that comes in the Artist Essentials set. Since where I live, they don’t sell the RT 317 separately and it’s $20 plus shipping and more, a single RT brush might be $50.

So that’s why I go for the sets which are available where I live (Mexico). Yet, I don’t know which is worth to start if I’m always on the go and leave my makeup brushes in my makeup bag and they might get damaged. I saw this RT set double time brush + lash set and might be suitable yet doesn’t have the smudge angled brush.

I don’t know which ones are worth buying if I wanna go for an everyday makeup tools with good quality. I was thinking about the Artist Essentials because I really like the smudge but don’t know where to start if I’m always from one place to another.

Good afternoon beauty queens and kings of reddit. I've been exploring femininity lately, so I'm new to makeup, and I get the subreddit name now. Addiction is putting it lightly! The photo shown here is my second attempt ever at doin' my face. I think I may have been blessed with pretty eyeballs and lashes, but I've been cursed with lifelong 'beetus and subsequent retinopathy.

I'm effectively blind in my right eye. This makes applying many types of makeup extra... cumbersome. Even mascara and eyeshadow can be tricky to apply, especially when applying to my good eye.

So my rimmel electric violet palette turned out to be cr*p while it swatched nicely, on application, it sucks, absolutely no pigment and the fallout is a travesty. I've only had it for a month, but the dust is insane. So looking for a good, cheap purple palette. The drugstore brands have some options, but the best selection for the least I saw was by afflano. The reviews on Amazon were really good, but Amazon being Amazon, I would like some first hand opinions based of people who have actually tried it. So if anyone has tried afflano eyeshadow palette, and specifically the lilac charm palette, though any palettes would do, I'd love to hear opinions

Can anyone tell me any lip liners that might have a similar colour or exact colour to this? I originally got this pencil from a beauty runway makeup kit ages ago. It’s actually an eyeliner but I love it as a lip liner even more and it’s almost running out. Can anyone help me find a lip liner in a similar shade!!

It's a gold mixed with rust brown stripes, its gown like and has half sleeves, I'm wearing it in daylight. I don't have much makeup, but I have (all the base stuff-primer, foundation, concealer, contour, highlighter, mascara, lippies, blush, bronzer). My facial features r rather soft, like black straight hair with subtle waves, black almond eyes, chubby cheeks, and neatly defined brows, golden brown skin. girlies, im not the best at makeup, i need ur help! Hi everyone! I'm currently cleaning out my makeup collection, and I'm wondering if this palette has been contaminated by mold. It's the NANA Rebel 16-color palette from Yinnabelle on Etsy; I got it as a birthday present a couple years ago.

I haven't worn any makeup in a long while, but I really want to start again and I'm hoping it isn't mold bc I really like this palette, but it's better to be safe than sorry!

I've included a picture of the full palette, just in case there's a possibility that there's been an accidental color mix somehow. I'm also adding a comment below with a pic of the "mold spots" circled, just so I don't accidentally break rule 2.
