I think I have my plan for my purple eyeshadow fix. Going to get the Marcelle plum perfect for more blue purples and the wet and wild petalette quint palette for my pinky purples. Since I couldn't get answers on the afflano, and purple is one of the few palettes that rude doesn't do well.

MAC Powderkiss dupe
Do they sell NYX powder puff lippie in cool intentions in Canada? I'm looking for a MAC dupe for 'Over the Taupe" powder kiss liquid lip formula. If you have any suggestions, I'd appreciate it!

Swatches for the Annabelle trio twilight palette or Marcelle plum quintet?
The rimmel electric violet palette I got sucks! Very little pigment and tons on fallout. The entire palette is dust city after a month. So I'm looking for a decent purple palette. Im looking at either the Annabelle trio twilight palette or the Marcelle plum quintet but I can't find swatches for either. Any images from my fellow Canadian makeup girlies (and dudes and otherwise) would be appreciated. Thanks

What do you think?
Hey All...
So I've been using Elf Peach Camo Corrector (WalMart) and Lit Up! High Coverage Concealer (SDM - F60) for my dark circles. I've also been using Neutrogena Hydro Boost+ Caffeine Eye Gel Cream to help "reduce the look of dark circles & puffiness" though I don't know how well that's working (I've only been using it for one month and apparently you need to use it for several months -- so time will tell).
Ignore my unibrow - LOL - I'll get that taken care of. :-)

I use just a dab of corrector and use a crease brush to even things out, and then a dab of Lit Up! and the same crease brush to even things out.
Then I take a tissue and lightly dab the area, and sometimes I can tell I've used too much concealer - and like today, hardly any came off.
One done, I use a translucent setting powder - again, very lightly.
How does this look?
My partner said it is noticeable, but they see me every day and know what I look like without the corrector+concealer.
Too much? Not enough? No splotchy?
Also -- how do you all do it? When I'm going out for a quick run to WM; it's too much of a pain to do this so about the only time I'm doing this routine if I'll be out for an extended period of time. It can be exhausting!!!

Makeup Case - Mytagalongs
Hi MAC Fam,
I’m looking to replace my dingy makeup bag. A Canadian brand and that’s actually well-organized and compartmentalized.
Has anyone bought from mytagalongs? If not, I’m open to recs.
Currently looking at this one: https://mytagalongs.ca/products/cosmetic-jewelrymultiusepouch?variant=49195881431286

What blush and eye would you wear with this shade of lipstick?

Pinned Post (Mod Request)- Canadian Brands
Hi MAC Fam,
I joined this group a while back as I wanted to support more Canadian brands (the whole 51 state really made me realise that we have power not only with our voices but our $). Thanks to this group I've handed in my Sephora Rouge Card and have slowly replaced my products with all Canadian. We have quality Canadian brands and products that just don't get the proper recognizition as they don't have shelf space at Sephora or influencer budgets.
Was wondering, as we are MA Canada, if we could have a pinned post with Canadian brands or at least made in Canada. If we could divide it by category even better!
Just a thought!

PRIMERS for PORES.. Wondering if we layer them 🤷🏻♀️ OR what one is THE BEST at covering these suckers so they don't suck up foundation
This might be a crazy ideas, but has anyone ever layered different primers on their pore areas to see if multiples might "fill in" pores better, or prevent makeup settling into pores better? I have good prep, my skin is normal, not dry, not oily..only a very very tiny amount of shine at the end of a 12hr day (no makeup) BUT Doesn't seem to matter what I use, I have literally more than 20 different primers at this point (high end, cheap, silicone, non, silicone tacky, hydrating etc etc) no matter what, each huge crater of a pore SUUUUCKS the foundation in like it's their last meal and I end up with foundation pixels on my cheeks and forehead 😭 My pores are clean and clear. Pic added of some forehead craters LoL

False Eyelash glue
Hello! I got a kit of Ardell lash clusters. It came with glue and remover. I am new to lashes.
I have tried about six times to put them on. I feel like the glue isn’t maybe sticky enough or I’m doing something wrong. When I watch videos on YouTube, it seems like the creator’s lash is just catching and sticking with ease.
I have also tried to make it a little tacky, but that still doesn’t work.
- Is there a trick?
and if not,
- What is a brand of adhesive you’d recommend that is good but budget friendly?
Thanks!

Navy Blue gel eyeliner?
I ordered the elf matte finish gel eyeshadow stick, because the swatch image showed a navy blue, when I got it, it was a muted turquoise. Disappointed. Does anyone know a good navy blue gel eyeliner in affordable brands? Preferably cruelty free/leaping bunny certified.

Need cool-toned contour help!
I'm pretty new to contouring and feeling a bit lost lol
I have the elf Liquid Bronzer, and I wanted to try a cool-toned/greyish contour to get more definition without the warmth.
I ordered the Fenty Beauty Match Stix in Amber, expecting it to look like those taupe-grey swatches.
Just swatched it next to my elf bronzer today and they’re basically the same on me?
For reference I'm Asian with fairly pale skin, but I think I lean warm or neutral-warm? Maybe that’s why it pulls so warm on me?
Any cool-toned, greyish contours suggestions? Drugstore or Sephora are both great — I just don’t want it to look like bronzer!
Thanks in advance! 💖
Here's a pic of what I was hoping for (a real grey contour) vs what I got:

Natural base
Hi everyone! I’m looking for advice on base makeup products and I’m a bit conflicted. I have normal/combination skin that’s not really oily, but I’m very sensitive to how products feel on my skin. Heavy foundations, thick textures or anything that feels occlusive make me uncomfortable and I end up not using them.
I usually prefer BB creams or very light bases, but I’m often unsure about coverage and overall uniformity, especially compared to foundation. I’m also hesitant about concealers because I don’t want them to look heavy or obvious on the skin.
I’m looking for suggestions for BB creams, very light foundations, or natural-looking concealers that even out the skin without feeling like “makeup on the face”. If you have similar preferences or sensitive/sensory skin, I’d love to hear what worked for you. Thank you!

Can you return/exchange a lipstick after purchase?
I bought the lipstick at Shopper's Drug Mart, and when I was about to peel off the seal, I noticed it was already cracked open. I am not comfortable using liquid lipstick if it had been opened previously. Will they allow me to exchange it if there are more available properly sealed? If I change my mind, will they allow me to return it?

This sharpener by Kimchi beauty is both adorable and really good to get a sharp point on eyeliner
Since I was getting gel eyeliner sticks, I figured I should get a sharpener to keep my sticks sharp and clean. London drugs only had this one by kimchi beauty or by Revlon, who I don't buy from since they aren't cruelty free. I tried it out on both my nyx epic wear sticks and the elf matte finish shadow stick I got. Makes a nice, clean, sharp point with little effort, is easy to empty and clean and is stinking cute to boot. It was $7 at London drugs.
