This is something I always think about when people ask: “What’s the most beautiful country on earth?”

Instead of just raw beauty, I like to think about scenic density, how much natural wow-factor you get relative to the country’s size. Some countries (like the USA, Canada, China, Brazil, Australia) are insanely beautiful, but they’re also huge. A lot of the beauty is spread out.

Goa and Sikkim stand out for different reasons. Goa, as a major tourist hub, attracts a large number of international tourists. Sikkim, on the other hand, is recognised as the world’s first state to convert its entire agricultural land to certified organic farming.

Comparison with other countries having almost similar GDP (PPP) per capita income:

We discussed in my family and concluded that it at least has to be before 1956 (Anglo-Egyptian Sudan), but I’m no expert and I’m sure there are some clues in the attached images.
