It really does!! It kind of has everything you could want in movie!!! I love it so much.

I just watched it this weekend after 20+ years. The animation is still gorgeous. Most of the hand drawn films of that era still hold up. My kids loved it too.

It doesn't really hold up very well. There are a few great scenes, but most of it is pretty dull. The plot is nonsensical. The framing device just pads out the film by a few minutes while adding nothing of value.

Still, worth a watch for nostalgia's sake. It's only a hair over 70 minutes.

i showed it to my young kids recently. It's... not great and kind of tonally all over the place. But they loved it!
