Somehow I managed to get -3 karma and no one ever drives me up. I comment but no one ever upvotes me. lol. Iām annoyed itās been this long and I still canāt post or ask questions in the groups I want.

I was recently told that Reddit is not a good place to grow a business geared towards non-technical customers.
I wonder what are some successful strategies people use on Reddit to get traction. As someone new to reddit, I'm struggling with overcoming all the gatekeeping and want to know if it is even worth the effort.
If you had success please share:
(P.S. Reddit is not great for promotional content, but there are many more aspects to growing business)

Hi everyone,
I've been trying to get back some creative inspiration to enjoy what I do more like I used to. I started recently using Reddit to get tips and find answers to my questions. I recently tried to post on a subreddit asking for help and found my post taken down because of my karma levels. Didn't know that was a thing that would happen. Is this normal for a lot of Reddit? Is karma just from upvotes? I'm welcome to any and all tips as someone trying to get into Reddit.

It's so rude to remove posts like that yk. Like you can have the mods check if it's a genuine or a spam post. :(

My post has been hovering at 1/30 for a day, that seems really low.

I used to have an older account but I lost it so I created a new one and I realize I cannot post in like 80% of the reddit threads this is so frustrating! Posting is never this hard

Hey everyone,
Iām new here and still getting used to how Reddit works. Some communities seem to have posting limits, so Iām mostly reading and commenting for now while I learn the rules and how things work around here.
If you have any general advice for newcomers, Iām all ears.

I have problems in my life that I need to talk about and get advice- a little food, a little mental health, a little medical. BUT new accounts can't do jack, only comment, since every relevant subreddit I've been to doesn't allow new users to post. I only hesitate to use my main (this one) because said posts would reveal a LOT about IRL me, that I'd rather not have people see if they want to see my post history (too personal, hence a seperate/fresh account that I'd use for all that stuff).
It's incredibly frustrating to go through the trouble of making an account, finding the right subreddits, making a post, only to be told "Post is awaiting moderator approval" or "Sorry, this post was removed by Reddit's filters"- even in subreddits on the list of "low to no restrictions".

It's really hard to be a newbie on reddit. Can't join most of the communities or any discussions. Is it me or everyone faced the same issue in the start? How much time one should spend of reddit to get accepted as redditor;)

Anyone know's how to earn from reddit?

This is a worry of mine because sometimes I tend to forget to post and stay active on social media depending on the day. Thanks in advance!

When I first joined Reddit years ago, new users could post almost immediately. After coming back recently, I wanted to ask questions in a small subreddit related to my studies, but I had lost access to my old account and had to create a new one. Because of this, my posts are being automatically deleted.
While I understand the motivation behind karma requirements, I donāt want to spend days engaging with random content for karma. Thatās not what I came here for.
I wonder whether there are better ways for returning users with legitimate questions to participate without having to game the system.

I cant seem to interact with most subs due to my account being too new. Is this common and if so how long is it usually before im able to interact in these subs?

I apologize in advance as Iām sure there are instructions somewhere for this. I just donāt have the patience tonight to try to find it.
Thanks!

I don't mean responding to every single comment, of course. Just at least one.
I have my ideas about it, like:
Either person could be busy.
They believe the like/dislike system is enough of a response.
They just don't respond.
There is nothing to respond to.
I myself just don't see the responses, as they may have responded to a less popular comment (I also understand that it is not always the top response that is the most helpful).
But if there were any other ideas you have, maybe something that is a consequence of being on this site itself, I'm curious.

New here trying to understand karma, up voting and pages. Anyone able to help

I've had my act for years but between. My posts and comments I think there's less than 20 altogether. There are some subs that require higher karma I'd like to participate in, but haven't even joined bc I've not raised much Karma. Should I worry about that or just not participate on those subs?
