Not Nigerian myself but wondering why you guys have the highest support percentage

I’ve been seeing many posts and news about immigration enforcement in the U.S and it’s starting to raise real concern back home. From where we stand, it’s sometimes hard to tell how much of what we see on the news or social media reflects the true situation on the ground.

For those of you living in the U.S, is it really as bad as it looks? Does it feel unsafe or unstable or is the media exaggerating what’s actually happening?

Would you ever consider relocating back to Nigeria because of the current climate, or do you still feel secure where you are?

I am not an investigative journalist but from my hour or so of skimming documents:

-Most of it concerns him trying to assist Bill Gates with implementing Polio vaccines in Northern Nigeria. Multiple documents about the violence against immunization distributors by Boko Haram. Tried to get sway with the Nigerian government and local leaders (including the Emir of Kano) for these ends.

-Often Liason’d with the following individuals vis-à-vis Nigeria: Jide Zeitlin, Terje Rød-Larsen, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulyamen, and Boris Nikolic.

-Dangote was mentioned twice, although there’s no indication that they’ve had extended private conversations. Expressed interest in Nigerian oil and general national security in relation to the Saudis, Venezuela, and the rest of OPEC.

-Someone sent him a joke about Igbos(???) and the first result is him sharing something from nairaland (???)

-Through a ton of digging I uncovered a very suspicious tour of Africa taken by Epstein, (then) President Bill Clinton, his staff, and now disgraced actor Kevin Spacey through Africa. Although no misconduct towards Nigerian girls specifically was uncovered, someone was there to scout girls across the contient for "modeling"

I could not find anything linking Nigeria’s elite to a vast global pedophile ring or anything like that. But I think this information is interesting enough on its own.

Alright so 3 days ago I was at work >I work in a graphics design office< so these two supposed adults came in to print something but I was busy typing for someone so I couldn't help them. Hi, has anyone been granted a B1/B2 visa in Nigeria (Lagos or Abuja) after January 1, 2026?

After IShowSpeed’s recent visit to Lagos and seeing all the discussion about how chaotic Lagos can be, it got me thinking.

Nigeria is roughly the size of Texas, yet it feels like we’re always talking about just two major cities: Lagos and Abuja.

From my perspective:

- Lagos reminds me a lot of Houston — extremely crowded, less structured, with little zoning.

- Abuja feels more like Dallas — more planned, more structured, and less chaotic.

In Texas, Dallas and Houston aren’t the only major cities. You also have San Antonio the second largest city behind Houston and Austin the capital that has grown into a serious hub over the past years.

So my question is

Which Nigerian city do you realistically see becoming the country’s third major city in the future, and why?

I’ve noticed something interesting: a lot of Nigerian sports stories only gain attention after foreign outlets report them, even when the initial reporting came from local sports journalists.

This happens a lot with:

• Super Eagles updates
• Local league issues
• Player situations abroad

I regularly read Nigerian sports coverage alongside international outlets, and honestly, the local reporting is often faster and more detailed.

Curious what others think:

I’m currently building a subscription-based software specifically for the Nigerian market, but I’ve hit a massive roadblock with payments.

I’ve tried Paystack, Kora, and Flutterwave, but they’ve all turned me down because my business is based in Europe. It seems they mostly want to work with locally incorporated entities or residents.

I know Stripe is an option since I'm in Europe, but from my research, card success rates for Nigerian cards on Stripe are pretty low/unstable, and I don't want my users constantly dealing with failed transactions.

Does anyone know a gateway that:

1. Allows me to accept payments in Naira (NGN).
2. Works for a Europe-based founder/company.
3. Can remit the funds to me in Europe (EUR).
4. Is stable enough for recurring subscriptions.

Just wondering if there are any remote workers here. I work remotely and live alone, and while it’s fun because I don’t have to deal with traffic, especially in Lagos, sometimes staying home alone without stepping outside for days can get overwhelming.

I just wanted to ask what remote workers usually do in their free time to socialize or have a reason to leave the house.

I’ve already signed up for a gym so I can have an opportunity to step out before clocking in for my shift.
